Incredible image by Sarah & incredible post by Jeff. Jeff is the digital version (and probably film as well) of those master printers. Plus an extraordinary documentary photographer in his own right.
WOW! I’m not usually a color person, and think a lot of color street work tries to be too clever with color, but this frame HAS to be in color as it adds to an already brilliant moment in time captured by Sarah. And Jeff, great insight into how you edit a color image!
Hi Jeff Great photo of Sara, one of my favorites from all your videos. I would like to ask if you could explain more in a comment or in a video what changes in color are introduced by the action you click in PS because the change is really great.
I'm putting up a video this Friday with another of Sarah's images. In that video, I go into more depth as to what the action does. Basically, I'm trying to get rid of the digital mushiness that comes with a lot of digital colour images from Lightroom. The action takes 27 steps to do this. There's a link in the description if you are interested in it.
haven't visited your channel for a few weeks, this is great! Unfortunately I'm on Lightroom Classic 11.2 so the select people feature isn't available, almost makes me want to upgrade though! Great photo again Sarah!
Thank you. Yeah, a few things are missing from the old versions. The new grain tool looks pretty amazing on the latest version. I’ll be having a play with that in an upcoming video.
Great image, I like it a lot! One question, about the white balance. With the eye dropper, isn’t it the point to look for a spot that you want to be neutral instead of looking for a spot that already is neutral? Otherwise, a great video!
Tbh I’ve always used this method of WB. It’s like using a colour checker or grey card. You can’t colour balance off pure highlight even though you would want those to be white.
The daylight is much brighter in UK seemingly. For a scene like this, and seeing the original file, I think I have to set to ISO 800, F4 and 1/500 to get the similar exposure.
I'm going through a bit of a crisis at the moment as to whether to process my images in colour or black and white... How do you make a decision on this, or do you just say, I'm going to shoot black and white / colour and that's it?
We shoot with b/w cameras so colour has to be a deliberate choice. So yeah, it’s as simple as saying we are going to shoot colour or b/w today and that’s it 🙂

Thanks Markus. Quite a compliment coming from you. 🙏🙏
Absolutely briljant picture. So much is happening. Thanks for the great editing tips
Thank you
You got the shot Sarah and in one piece I hope. Liking the colour shot.
Thanks Iain 🙏
These videos just keep giving. Invaluable content. Thank you Sarah and Jeff.
I hope to see you on the workshop again at some point 🙏
Thank you!! See you soon.

My goodness your channel continues to provide such incredible images. Cheers from the states!
Thank you so much. 🙏🙏🙏
It says a lot about your relationship that you can work together like this, that alone is worth applauding.
Thanks Brent. Hope all is good with you.
Sorry to hear about your fall Sarah, hope it gets better soon. Nice colour work.
It’s all good now, Michael. Thanks for your concern.

What a great image. It's very Joel Meyerowitz-esque!
Thanks Michael.

We have some of the dullest light on the planet!! Occasionally we get the sun shining through though.
