      if it is then can you make a Point and Click Adventure with it?
      if you wonder why i question this, Its Simple!, a FPS Game Like Sword Art Online (GUNGALE, Something like that)
      and see if its Possible Recreate that type of Gameplay, (i know theres a PC game of Gungale, but im more Curiose about the Concept of Shooting People in the Head using your Eyeballs, like Come on!, LASER EYES! WOOOOOO!)

    The biggest thing I've learned during my time programming is that I can't do everything. I can code all day long, but when it comes to graphic design and complex animation, I'm an utter failure.

      Ah don't say your a failure! We all just have strengths and weaknesses. For example, I can code, kind of do art, but I can't do music/sound for my life. I keep trying, but your right we can't do everything. I'm starting to use more assets now and just focus on the things I'm good at. And regardless, it just takes practice!

    I just love how he said that he tried to make his own game jam. This reminds me of my first attempts at using OpenGL. It took me one whole week for showing my first triangle with OpenGL. Luckily I am way further now. But this one first triangle always takes ages.

    Love this video! It was inspiring and a little uplifting. I've got more than a good few games I've started and either just scrapped or never finished. Sometimes it feels hopeless but more often than not the only thing I really want to be doing is making games. Just keep on learning, and keep on having fun!

    StackOverflow is a dev's best friend, that is all I have to say. That and Unity is super friendly compared to other engines I've used. Namely a framework called LWJGL, and I tried Unreal, but crashed when I typed incorrect C++.

    Great motivational video. It's really good to know as a beginner that even a good programmer uses google or tutorials in general to get somewhere in their projects. I've been watching a few of your tutorials from time to time but didn't pay you any mind. After watching this video though, I can tell that you're a genuine person that is truly passionate in what you're doing, which is really inspirational for other devs, beginner or not.       Agreed! And I think you should still try to join even if you don't feel ready. Either follow youtube tutorials or work on a team. You learn a TON from participating!

    I had the same problem when I first started making games over 15 years ago - Having incredibly ambitious projects that never got finished, until I participated in my first ever game jam. Glad to know you followed a similar path. Great video, keep up the good work.

    It's been over a year since i last launched unity because i needed to focus on collage. I have been planning to get back to it for a while now since it's vacation and this video gave me the push i needed
    enough time to get back into it in time for the jam, Hell yeah!!

    I work a full time job, so week-long jams are pretty much impossible for me unfortunately, but I will definitely be on the lookout for any 24-48h jams in the future. Great video!

      @@beProsto no it's not. I am working on a game engine currently and you have to manually create asset pipelines, shader interpretation, vertex specifications, etc.

    You mentioned you lost data because you had no backups. I also lost so much files but still dont know how to save them correctly. Would be great if you make a Video how to save you work progress :D

      Just copy all the files of the project into another folder or on google drive or something. That's basically backup. It's super easy, barely an inconvenience.

    I follow you for around a year now and your videos helped me so much to learn about the Unity engine. I agree with all the things you said an I just wanted to say thank you. My project is still in development and there is still planned a lot of content but it all started with your videos. I just enjoy it to be creative and thats the most important point i guess.

    What I Learned After a Year of Game Dev is ..... You will Never Learn Everything.
    PS : I Really Know How PAINFUL Wirting ur own Game Engine is, Writing a Math Library, A Renderer , A VFS (Virtual File System), Integrating a Scripting Language, ECS, ... etc 😵. But I will Go For It. Gonna Participate in the Jam 😄😄

      Do remember that you don't have to do everything from scratch. Often it's more motivating to actually see something happen on screen. Good luck, I'd love to see a snapshot of what you've made :D

      A good architecture is the key to a healthy project, I can't tell you how many times I've seen engines implode because there wasn't a good architecture. Seems like you're on the right track

    Your "make a game" series was one of the first games I actually finished making.
    I took a online game development course which was crap then found you and completed that and then decided to go to college and make video games :) I now make games from home due to health.
