Last stage Cavendish can clearly be seen checking behind him to see if anyone is in that space before moving left. Philpsen on the other hand just followed him blindly at least partly contributing to Pedersen's crash. Guy's a constant menace. He should be thankful that he was only relegated.

Well yes and no if I recall correctly.
It was also a very stupidly made parcours with a bend and narrowing barriers.
Making it hard to judge back then.
This is a 100% relegation. I don’t understand these pundits. The rules state deviation + endangering. And for good reason look at Jakobsen.
Wout was still half alongside. Yes he was out of steam. Yes he had no chance to win. But that doesn’t give Jasper the right to drive him either into the barrier or brake off.
      That’s endangering that’s a relegation. Good decision.

I disagree with the analyst assessment who said Philipsen was "moving in front" and therefore analyst felt moving over was "borderline"; Wout saw that JP was pinching him, and backed off pedaling ....... THEN Philipsen completed the pinch over to barrier, as he has done in the past. Wout immediately complained in a post race interview about Philipsen's repeated tactic in that situation, meaning Wout saw early what was coming and was forced to slow up. If the path had remained clear, Wout would have likely completed the pass and maybe even won the stage.
Wout is normally generous to competitors in post race interviews. The fact that he outwardly complained about it in this case shows that something (like a penalty) had to be done.

Tired of the judges penalizing some, but not others. I see so much fighting for position and nobody gets penalized... also they use the cars to get back to the pelaton but nobody gets penalized... are we following the rules or not?

Cav and Lutsenko were relegated for following the cars on stage six today as well. So, they did penalize people who use the cars to get back to the peloton.

I'm not a fan of Jasper but I've seen a lot of sprinters did the same thing before. He's already ahead.

Ironically, as Lanterne Rouge ponts out, had Jasper simply gone STRAIGHT, he would have won the stage. Jasper's sideway deviation gave Groenewagen a 5cm victory.

Personally I think they knew they should have taken action against him last year. So they have waited for the very first thing he does wrong this year to make a point that riding like this wont be accepted

Biniam Ghirmay is the cleanest sprinter even if he got a little bit distance l, he would have won today, he was that much close to Jasper dirty and the other guy.
