@@HD00957 i actually have so im not guessing. Theres plenty of footage on the internet of actors doing a scene again. Theres of course some difference if there wasn't then whats the point of redoing it but the ability to do something as simple as pick up a wine glass the way the character would over and over is impressive to me. Whats even more impressive is when scenes start immediately with movement and it matches the movements of the previous cut

Jack's one of the greatest movie actors, in the history of cinema. He could fo something very few actors can do...make you laugh out of fear and intimidation . As well, he could make you laugh from witty line readings and/or a witty improvisational moment, he came up with.
"I love to act." I love that honesty that you don't hear much from many actors. I haven't done anything since highschool, but I have always wanted to be an actor because that playing pretend is so much fun. I always wonder if actors really love the game that is their profession and do it for fun, or if they just do the work of being an entertainer because they're just good at it and it pays thousands or millions.
Goddamn. Yeah okay. That's talent. You gotta look pretty, you gotta know people, you gotta be lucky, but when it comes right down to it; if you can _do your job_ that well, regardless of motivation, you can be a star.
Demi Moore also talked about this on Drew Barrymore's show and talked about how much this inspired her! Apparently also there are some actors who will just use a stand-in for when they're off camera or not go full force like what Rob Reiner's talking about here so it was really interesting to learn about that aspect of things as well which again makes his performance just amazing!
Edited - I had the wrong decade... in other completely unrelated news.. I'm old! LOL! In the 1990s in Omaha Nebraska there was a DJ that happened to have Jack Nicholson's phone number. He called him really early in the morning and Jack actually answered the phone. Jack hung up on him a couple of times, but the DJ kept calling him back and finally Jack said, "what do I have to do to get you to stop calling me!?" The DJ said "can you say the dialogue in that scene?" And then Jack did it perfectly right there on the spot. It was amazingly good!
The Brilliance of that Scene is unbelievable. And the admittance of Rob Reiner (aka Ole Meathead, Mike) is even More Enjoyable. Since It illustrated the Great Brilliance of Both Men's Genius's. OF course One is the Actor Jack Nicholson, and the Other Rob Reiner, as Director of the Film 📽️🎥📽️. TKS.
When i see other actors entertainers comedians imitate Jack i dont see it as theyre making fun of this great man it's out of fun out of love for one of the most respected admired actors in the industry no one has anything bad to say about this man and they still keep Imitating him its amazing
