my brain feels broken after listening to all that Venom trailer praise because it looks downright awful to me. admittedly i might be biased by how likewise awful the first two movies and their trailers were (letting alone the garbage heap of Sony's other dumpster fires), but i'm usually someone who tries to keep an open mind and wind up liking plenty of stuff others don't (one of many reasons i'm steering clear of y'all's reviews for New Mutants and Dark Phoenix, cuz they ain't perfect, but i surely do enjoy them!). and no, "turn off your brain because most of the audience isn't paying attention to details" isn't the best argument for me to give a film a shot. ;) as for everything else: i love Levy, love Real Steel, love Free Guy, love Stranger Things, even love Adam Project, so i'm down with him for Avengers; open to an RDJ guest spot whenever he wants to come back as a variant Tony, but no need to undo 616's sacrifice; excited for whomever Giancarlo's playing (current theory: Eric Williams, becomes Grim Reaper in time for the Wonder Man series), and he's too much of a badass to be a pencil pushing twerp like Gyrich, but Gyrich in the comics has just as many ties to the Avengers if not moreso than the X-Men so his presence doesn't necessarily have to presage mutants if that winds up being who he's playing (hell, they made Everett Ross a way bigger badass); i don't need to see this iteration of the Inhumans again and would be more excited by a Daisy appearance, but the casting wasn't the problem with that show so if they DID show up and the MCU managed to wipe the shit off to find a diamond underneath, i wouldn't be mad; i'll take Blade whenever, just want them to get it right so whenever it needs to come out for that to happen, i'm happy to wait!
