I enjoyed this movie back in the day for what it was, and was happy to see you had similar feelings. Love this show.

I’m hoping they bring Mirage and Wolvesbane into X-men ‘97.
What you guys failed to mention is that this movie screened only in DRIVE IN theatres because most (if not all) theatres were closed to all screenings due to Covid. So in the SF Bay Area where I lived, the nearest drive in theatre was over 50 miles away. So my girlfriend and I drove hours in traffic from San Francisco to Concord CA to get to the nearest drive in theatre, with a huge traffic jam of cars trying to get to the same place - literally like 4 hours in traffic. When we got there, there were so many people that had never done a drive in movie that didn’t know you’re not supposed to put your car lights on during the film because it shines on the screen making the action impossible to follow. People kept turning their car lights on - and it’s a dark film so having bright car lights shining on the screen made it so for most of the film, we couldn’t tell what was happening. People kept honking their horns trying to get the idiots to turn their car lights off to no avail. So in all of this chaos, I could barely understand the narrative and drove away feeling like we had wasted our night on a bad movie. I rented it on Redbox a few months later and found it to be a much better film that I had given it credit for! Totally underrated in fact. So yes, a huge part of the reception to this film was because of people struggling to even see it at the time and im sure a lot of people felt like it was not worth the effort. This wasn't at the tail end of Covid, this was 5 months in. It mightve been the first movie released after the start of Covid!
Idk I was not a fan of them making mirage and wolfsbane a thing I always saw them in the comics as soulmates but like in sisterly way so seeing them have a thing for each other kinda gave me a whiplash, also sunspot and cannonball had zero chemistry

Fox and Marvel screw franchises over in different, yet equally stupid ways, we missed out on a New Mutants trilogy but might get a fifth Thor movie. Neither of those decisions are... smart 🤪

I'm sure a lot of people share this opinion but the yeasayers won't allow for anyone to be anything other than placating.
Another insufferable Jamie recap. This show is really well done and I'm a big fan, but these recaps absolutely kill it.

Not to mention how she’s always lagging, pixelated and complaining about having to wake up earlier than 11am. A buncha childish garbage that it just weighing down all of the actual talent on the show
