Love all the MCU picks. I watched Age of Ultron so many times in the theatre, it was like my comfort movie all that summer. Guardians 2 and Far From Home are, like y'all said, the weakest entries in their respective trilogies...but those are really fucking good trilogies and so even the comparatively "weakest" are still great movies! Also interesting that all of the picks were second movies.
For the non-MCU picks, I grew up on that Lundgren Punisher! Telling on my age here, but I had a secondhand VHS copy a year or two after it came out that I damn near wore out. Though Jamie neglecting to mention the always magnificent Louis Gossett, Jr. is a huge oversight! 😜 The Generation X TV movie is truly terrible. I saw it when it first aired and hated it, and that was at an age where I liked almost everything and was OBSESSED with the original Lobdell/Bachalo comics! But this is like Corman's FF level cheap badness. 😂 I was a bit confused to see MiB included here, not because I didn't know it was a Marvel comic (sort of), but because I thought this movie was near universally beloved. The sequels have all been mediocre to awful, but that first one is awesome. Did the consensus on that change? Sigh...these kids today... 😥
As for what I'd pick, I feel like most of the Phase 4 (and 5) movies I'd be inclined to defend might be a bit too recent and raw, and my go to "everyone hates this but me" of Dark World isn't so much misunderstood as just a difference in tastes and preferences...so my MCU pick would probably be Ant-Man and the Wasp. Non-MCU, I'll have my boy Marc Webb's back and give love to ASM2! Neither of them are perfect, but I think there's so much good and awesome in them that often gets overlooked in the binary mob mentality of the Internet. Which is true of a lot of films, but since I can only pick two... 😅

i still can't get over the fact that thomas jane's punisher & stevenson's punisher gets belittled by jamie because of her fangirling of dolph lundgren.
i wonder if she loves his he-man masters of the universe as well lol
