I'm a year and a half into my journey but them starters are so beautiful they making me miss mine lol. That first year of development is so beautiful!!
I’m 5 weeks and a lil change into my journey and I’m loving it. I’m so excited for them to start budding and such. Right now everyone probably thinks I’m still rocking the same two strand twist style. Very little people know I’m on my loc journey.
I'm 2.5 months in to my loc journey just did my 3 retwist myself. I retwist every three weeks so far bc my scalp gets itchy and sore so I shampoo my hair with sulfate 8 which helped a lot then I used a little oil for mositure before I retwisted. Some unraveling but I'm getting better at doing it myself. I do a soft retwist bc my hair is so fine. I'm loving my journey and being patient is definitely the key I started with short hair.
Hi, are you still retwisting every three weeks? I’ve been doing every three weeks too and a friend of mine said my locs will pop and break if I continue.
When I first started my locs I would only do a soft twist up to the third month then I only retwisted every four to five months and still a soft twist. My hair grew nicely no breakage at all it grew so fast after the sixth month mark but in the 11th month I decided to undo my locs and go natural for the summer and I'm still using all the products from my loc journey. I'm loving this natural hair journey right now. And I'm finding that the key to healthy natural hair is to also keep your hair moisturized with water before combing or styling never dry when coming hair.
Having these triangles parts is exactly what’s stopping me from washing and retwisting my own hair right now 😭…cause I’m like I can’t get these parts exactly how the Loctitian started them 🤦🏾♀️ but you make it look so easy I might give it a try myself one of these days….but your locs are looking so good 😊
3 months in as well. My hair is long and very fine. You make it look so easy. 😂😂😂I Killa myself trying to keep my parts straight. My love get super frizzy real fast. Thank you for sharing. Your locs are growing beautifully
Loveee your locs I started mine sept. 10th and they definitely starting loc'n I'm so excited you've been such a big help with my journey cause I'm a do it yourselfer 😂😅
I really needed this wash + retwist video, your eyes are freaking gorgeous like dang whole time my focus kept going to those eyes lol. Thank you for sharing this video!!! I have not started doing my own locs yet, I am still going to the Salon and having my hair stylist do it. Someone I care about suggested I do my own locs so here I am doing the research.
How often do you retwist? I retwist maybe 3-4 times a year. Be careful palm rolling the thinner locks too often because as they mature they only get tighter and thinner. Love and light ✨
Thank you for this video! Your retwist came out so nice! I decided to do a retwist myself & my locs are 2 months old.. but the length of my locs came out a bit frizzy, can I fix this ? Or should I leave it alone ?
I've had 2 strand twists for about 5 wks now and I'm ready to wash my hair. Some ppl are saying wait another month or two, but I'm ready to wash and retwist it myself after watching this video. I'm just scared of them unraveling and not being able to fix it. I love this video tho. I may just try it anyway after watching you. Thank you 😊
You did a good job.. I do my own too. I had the coil ones for a month. Now I got the braided ones. My daughter said leave em alone.. but my hair is so soft . I have to rebraid the back every day cause it keeps coming a looose 🤦🏾♀️ So what am I doing wrong. I got the loc gel an sealer. Ion think my hair wants to loc. 🤔
Baby I love it!!! But whenever you're ready to get it loc from end to root just hit me up I'll do it for you for free!! Mmmoah!! I enjoyed this very relaxing video!
You use Head and Shoulders? They must be paying you because those products are NOT for our hair! Reading the ingredients makes me wonder why you would put it on your clients.
with somethings yeah but i feel like that's also a myth in some ways. you'd be surprised, living abroad in europe one of the companies that consistently saved my hair when i was a 4a/4b loose natural was garnier fructis. a lot of companies are ditching sulfates and adding natural oils into their products now
Lol I’m on my one year and use head and shoulders. It does what it needs to do and reduces dandruff bc I have dry scalp. Sorry I’m not gonna pay an arm and a leg for “black owned loc shampoo” or whatever. I definitely support black owned but they tax and this shampoo works just fine for locs

The gel you use doesn’t cause any build up? I might try it
Try the apple cider vinegar one.... found mine at Sam's.
Our locaversaries must fall on the same day. I just celebrated my 2nd but still not 1 retwist. Im living through you at this point lol.
What do you think is different in what you’re doing with this set compared to the others?
Your locs look really good

You seem to really like this set. I thought we were going to have our journey together lol I was 1 week behind you . But they look good and fuller
