The recruiters now a days ask this question: If your notice period is 90 days, you'd be looking fwd to getting interviewd in various companies and there might be a chance that you'd not join us.. How do you answer that? You cannot commit anything this early right?

"I have been very careful in selecting the job prospects and apply only where I believe I can help and contribute and get good options for learning and growing, I also realise that 90 days notice creates problems and many organisations do not consider candidates with a long notice period, So I value this association even more and if I get selected I will be looking forward to start the next phase of my career with you"
Also please be honest with what you say

this can vary with situations, I can say take care of the following:
Negotiation: Reach out to the new company promptly. Express your gratitude for the offer and explain your situation. Ask if they can extend the joining date
Reasons: Be transparent about why you need an extension. Mention the buyout rejection and any other relevant factors
Professionalism: Maintain professionalism throughout the process. Companies appreciate candidates who communicate effectively and respectfully
Contractual Obligations: Review your offer letter or employment contract. It may contain details about joining dates, notice periods, and flexibility. Ensure you understand your obligations.

If you want to wait you will have to wait for more than 3 months.
      1. If the new company where you got offer is giving good package and u like the domain very much go ahead n join it.
      2. If its just any generic company with easy interview n u r confident on your skills you can wait but again cracking interview after 3 months will take time so maybe including notice atleast 5-6 months. So, think about that.

Malpractice by IT Companies to suck the employee:
Thanks Raghav and this time you got the painful point of IT employee. Companies says that they have 90 days policy to replace the person who is on notice. During this time they shortlist, train, HOTO happens and then only the new person become productive. This is the favorable side of company and it seems like they bound the employee as "Bandhuwa Mazdoor".
My opinion is does it really takes 90 days ?? If an employee leave your company after 3-5 years the newly joined person would justify the same level of expertization in 30-45 days, NO !!
But possibly your on notice employee may look some better offer during this tenure and in the same way the company is feeding the culture where the proposed candidate may go to somewhere else...and believe me This Would Not Be Wrong Or Candidate's Mistake or Wrong Practice...
