    • @CareerTalk
      @CareerTalk  2 года назад

      Yes you are right, in the US notice period is two weeks or 30 days. That's the norm over there but in India it is 90 days based on the employment contract signed at the time of joining. So one cannot break it, else the company will not give experience certificate and relieving letter.

      @@CareerTalk but if the new company doesn't care about experience letter, will it matter? In U.D. we generally give our colleagues as references to new companies during job applications as other companies just want to hire right away and just call the old company to see if you were employed there, they dont ask for a letter.

    Very useful video sir. The first question they ask nowadays is what is your notice period than asking about skills or current salary. If it is more than 30 days, they are not interested to continue the discussion. But their company have 60/90 days notice period. Can there be some standards in "notice period" to be followed uniformly across companies in India sir to avoid the prevailing issues? If so, whom can we suggest it to be implemented

    What about those candidates who are just collecting the offers. During the 90days or 60days notice period they have 4 to 6 counteroffers. They just make fool recruiters and HR.
    Nowadays, IT professionals join that company which provides the last counteroffer with Max CTC. This is also not good and that is the only reason to increase the salary in IT industry.

    • @CareerTalk
      @CareerTalk  3 года назад +1

      That's correct Rahis. Notice period beyond 60 days is too much and provides and opportunity to the candidates to get multiple offers and then negotiate.

      @CareerTalk  2 года назад

      Hi, Thanks for your query. At times companies do change the notice period from 1 month to 3 months. Many companies have done that, I dont think there is anything we can do about it because they mention certain clauses in the agreement/ contract which allow them to do so.

    • @karthikeyan878
      @karthikeyan878 2 года назад +2

      When you signed the employee agreement they mentioned only one month notice period right.
      If the management changed to 3 months it will be applicable to the new employees who joined after that rule announced.
      So, I think there is no wrong with your side to demand the one month notice period.
