    From my 17 years of experience, I can tell that it does not matter how good you are at your work. If maintaining good relationships with seniors = boot licking, there is no need to do that. Better maintain your self esteem.
    If you stay a long time at on-site you don't get decent hikes or promotions moreover in case of any emergency you are not with your family. It is difficult for women and children to get adjusted to a foreign environment. If you are getting a US salary in India I don't see any reason for going there. Your social life gets very very limited as well. People should weigh the pros and cons before taking any decision to work onsite or move abroad.

      I don't agree with your statement "If you are getting a US salary in India", it is very rare, and only product companies might offer you those salaries. While I strongly agree with you on you need to maintain good relationships with your seniors. You might be needed to bootlick to get onsite opportunities.

      Hello Aman, It is a very important question in today's scenario. If you are working in a project or client environment where you see chances of Onsite in 12 to 24 months then it makes sense to stay. However, if you don't see any visibility for Onsite then it is wise to switch the job.

      1. Opportunities for six sigma will be limited because most of the six sigma worked is done at offshore locations like India.
      2. In the business transformation you may definitely get onsite opportunity. However, you will need to focus on the domain/ business process because most opportunities are for business analysts who understand the business domain and process. These business analysts help analyze and design the new systems based on business need.
      3. I suggest you/ your spouse to search on job websites for business analyst role in the business domain/ vertical where you have expertise. I am sure you will find something.

      Hello Kevin, the best way to find this out is to search for job openings in that specific country. I just mean "search" on the internet/ job website/ linkedIn. This way you will know whether there are openings for your profile in that country. Accordingly you can plan and target for future.

    Am a BCA graduate Will I get a onsite opportunity?

    • @CareerTalk
      @CareerTalk  3 года назад +1

      Hello Aravind, BCA is a 3 year degree program so the eligibility criteria for visa and work permit might be a little different as compared to the 4 year engineering program. Please check on USCIS website for USA visa rules and regulations as an example.

    Does the onsite opportunity increases post MBA?

    • @CareerTalk
      @CareerTalk  3 года назад

      Hello Sibanjan, For onsite opportunities the only dependency on degree/ qualification is for the visa processing. Different countries have different eligibility requirement for processing the work permit/ visa. This is related to degree and/ or work experience. Having an MBA may or may not help you depending on the country you are applying for and the role you are apply for. For example, for a managerial role or a functional role MBA may be desired but for a technical role it is not necessary.

    What is the minimum exp required for onsite opportunities?

    • @CareerTalk
      @CareerTalk  3 года назад +1

      Work visas/ permits for different countries have different criteria for work experience based on the qualification/ degree. You can say minimum 2 years of experience is generally expected. Also since Onsite positions are client facing, it makes sense to consider employees with minimum 2 years of experience.
