What a nice challenge to make a Mexican dish that seemed overwhelming. You have inspired me. Also you're not afraid to use those blessed hands God gave you!
Hi Claudia-I made this last night for my fiancé, BIL and SIL and it was great. I used beef shank, ox tail bones, cumin seeds instead of whole cumin, apple cider vinegar (didn’t have white vinegar). It was wonderful and will absolutely make it again. It was so easy, just needs time 😇

I really appreciate that you present, detail, and give simple hands on instructions on what you are making. I just do not have time for a long video with all the silliness that so many channels use to present their recipes. Thanks again, keep up the good work and presentation. I also like the fact that you do not mask the chili taste with lots of cummin, cloves, brown sugar all that extra, just a rich minimalist chili taste like in the Southwest.
I don’t care how many times I watch this video I crack up every time at the “we don’t like lamb here” 😂 I love this recipe!
I actually prefer Lamb/Goat Birria. but I know for a lot of people, the smell, taste is too strong for them. 🙃
Me too !!! I was wondering if anyone else thought that was Hilarious 😂
Lamb is good...you just have to cook it right. Tastes like a slightly more exotic beef. Delicious.
@@brandonaldaymachuse6669 lamb barbacoa is delicious
We don’t like lamb In My house neither!!! That’s why I love this recipient in particular 👍🏻 she is the best!
What a nice challenge to make a Mexican dish that seemed overwhelming.
You have inspired me.
Also you're not afraid to use those blessed hands God gave you!
I always come back to this video because it’s hands down the best Birria I’ve ever made. It’s my families favorite. Thank you Claudia ❤️
I've been making this recipe for 4 years now! I will never make another one. This IS the BEST! THANK YOU ❤
Hi Claudia-I made this last night for my fiancé, BIL and SIL and it was great.
I used beef shank, ox tail bones, cumin seeds instead of whole cumin, apple cider vinegar (didn’t have white vinegar). It was wonderful and will absolutely make it again. It was so easy, just needs time 😇
OMGosh who are you and why don’t you open a restaurant?!! Thank you so much! I consider myself a good Mexican cook but girl this 65 year old is learning so much from you!! Thanks chica!!! 🥰
Omg...i am totally making this now that we’re in quarantine lmao, i got the time
❤❤❤ This recipe is a heavy hitter. Very special recipe. So delicious and tasty. All you got to do is follow it step by step. I love to cook, and to find new recipes to make. But this one is on a whole new level. Telling you, it will have people wanting more... special occasions. They'll want it. Thank you so much Claudia for this. Making it again tomorrow so I had to watch this for the many times I've had.❤❤❤
Wow! I've never tried making it because I always thought it was really hard and a lot of work... but girl you just made it look so easy to make. You make it look way better than all these other youtubers. I'm going to try making it this weekend. Thank you again gir this great recipe.
Michelle Munoz how was it !
I’m 4 months pregnant and have been craving these for so long! I’m gonna surprise my husband and make them tonight for dinner. I’m so excited 🤗
You are officially my favorite person to watch. The laughing in the middle when you messed up but left it and redid it in the video, the hands in the frying pan, just goin with the mess all over your hands and face as you eat it. Love it! Finally a RUclipsr that's REAL & can cook. Can't wait to try if I can find the chillis! 🤤
Agree... the mess up giggles was too cute
I was born and raised in Southern California, lived there for 63 years---a heavily Hispanic area where we had wonderful food everywhere--but somehow I missed the Birria!!! I just learned about Birria sauce and Tacos just last year 2023 in the Ozarks of all places, lol. I've been wanting to learn to make it! Glad I found your channel! This DOES look really easy to make!
I’ve honestly used this recipe over 5x its amazing!!!
Every weekend my step

This year was my turn to host my first Christmas dinner for my family and even my tio told me he was expecting a "lazy" dinner but that I definitely shut him up. Everyone was so impressed and they all loved it. Thank you ❤❤❤

Just got done making this.. made half of the recipe!! My husband said “I will never go pay anywhere else for this” 😂 thank you so much for the recipe!!!
Did you just divide all the ingredients in half? Or did you make extra adjustments?
I just cut all the ingredients in half 🙂
Same!!
Was the cooking time the same or also cut in half?
@@gabrielavonp3766 I used the same cooking time 😊

🤣🤣🤣🤣facts bro! Try it with other meats too🔥
Wish I was one of your family members. I know they were all very happy and content with your choice of menu on that day. It's a lot of work to make biria especially the amount you made, but it's so worth it.
You can tell she is a real cook by how she can flip the shells that are frying over by hand.
Thank you for amazing recipes!! I’ve made this recipe countless amounts of times, as a matter of fact I’m making it today to celebrate my Mom and my husband’s birthday. You have no idea how much EVERYONE loves this!! From my family to my in laws!! Everyone’s favorite!! Thank you!
I love how you broke everything down step by step! Phenomenal
Best birria recipe we’ve tried! So flavorful especially with some Chile de arbol ❤️
Been wanting to make this recipe for a while but it does seem very overwhelming. I finally did it today and omg.. it’s so effin good!!! I’m so glad I made it. Your recipe is perfect and I easily found everything in one store. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. Can’t wait to try others! 😋
I got hooked on Birria abt 1 yr ago, Colonial Market Mpls. Some day when I have 4 hrs to spare I'm literally going to make this. If u r in mpls it is truly worth your time to stop at market & give this a try it is fabulous. Thanks for the recipe.
I love how you try your food and genuinely enjoy it. The taste test sold me even more, I definitely going to try this recipe!

I made this about 1 month ago it came out so delicious, making it right now I absolutely love it .
I saw this three years ago and had to try it. To this day, it’s still the best birria I ever had. Thank you for the recipe! 🙏🏾
This was the best taco I've ever seen in my life. God bless you.
This is the BEST BIRRIA RECIPE EVER!! The only change I made was not strain the consome too much and it was a HUGE hit with our Friendsgiving. My friends are always asking me to make this now because they can’t find anyone who makes it this bomb! Thank you so much!! 🙏🏽♥️
"Friendsgiving" good lord 🙄
@@HereForAStorm so I’m assuming you’ve never had one before. Sucks for you 🥺
