So I am wonder from you all that have played NG+ if you skip the story get the artifacts can you go back and unlock the Stroud mission that gets you those awesome engines?

The Slayton engines are based on level and ship design skill. If you start a NG+ game after unlocking them they'll be there for you to buy.

@@SequentialGamer_KCDokay thanks. Is this also true for the UC ship guns too?

@@SequentialGamer_KCDWell I just decided to check real fast and unfortunately it's not true. The only way to get the SAL-6830 in NG+ is to do the campaign again. At level 163 I am plenty high enough....😂

@@bttmlesspit25 That sounds like a bug. I've done it several times in NG+. All the parts that were locked behind levels were there.

@@bttmlesspit25 Oh actually, that engine is behind the "All that money can buy quest" you get from Walter Stroud.
Yeah, anything that's behind a quest will need you to do the quest in NG+. Anything else should be there though.

1:12 there is one BIG reason. These come with probably worst field of view in game. I dislike third person while dogfighting so I personally prefer jet-like hopetech option. For me these come with the best looking design and great view for combat.

Fair enough, I wouldn't recommend ship fighting in first person view but there might be better cockpits for that.
