Sounds like the most intriguing brand. Especially loved the concept of weed fragrance. Also the names ♥️- so poetic and thought provoking.
You really need to check them out, Purvi.
I bought the Eau De Gloire just before Covid, the recent 50 ml bottling saying Eau De Parfum, and I am happy to have it. It is better than recent Bel Ami. Even though I can smell it on me for many hours, my wife or anyone else doesn't smell it so the projection is low with no sillage. So this performs like an EDT not EDP.

Finally showcasing the wonderful Parfum d'Empire brand! Thank you so much for this. Some background information on Equistrius: It is Corticchiato's homage to his competition horse, which name was Equistrius. It is his declaration of love for this horse, which, in his words, combined kindness and generosity. He wanted to create a scent that captured the horse's breath rather than the leather and animal notes commonly associated with horses. He explains this in his video about Equistrius (the scent). I find this heartwarming and wonderful. I like the scent a lot.

Perhaps the only 'indoors' fragrance in their range is Ambre Russe.
Big Big love for this brand. My favourites Immortalle Carse, Ambre Russe and Tabac Tabou. I think there is not a single bad parfume in this brand

So good to hear you talking about one of my favourite brands! Their Discovery Set is a treasure trove for every perfumehead. Immortelle Corse (such a good leather scent) and Musc Tonkin are in my collection, with others sure to follow. Corticchiato is a genius in my book.

Hi there Mr P., your timing is perfect as I just sniffed my way through the sample set myself! It took me months as there is so much to discover and so much to like in this beautiful collection.....
I love Azemour les Orangers, Yuzu Fou, Corsica Furioso, Eau de Gloire, Immortelle Corse, Salute! and of course Eau de Gloire.....such incredible perfumes......
Instead of buying a full bottle I might as well buy another sample set so I won't have to choose 😜

I’ve tried the most ‘popular’ ones, just few of them, remembering Le Cri leaving mesmerizing trail.
3 Fleurs sounds interesting, and those yellow roses, aah 💛
I’ve really enjoyed getting to know 3 Fleurs.
Yuzu Fou is twisted indeed 😅 Terrific or terrible terrifying 😅 On me it smells furry musky animalic.... I so wanted to love it because yuzu is a favourite of mine .... I'm still trying to get used to it and hope I will fall in the love with it. But it's challenging....
Oh wow, that's interesting. I find it so easy to wear.
In response to your review of Yuzu Fou, I, do highly suggest taking a smell of zoologists macaque yuzu edition. There’s something magical about it. Dry but citrus. Sweet but Woody. Animalistic but sophisticated. Just a very unique green smell, but it is quickly become one of my favorites. I tend to lean towards more unique smells, and I highly suggest this brand if you haven’t tried them.
I’d love a review from you of fragrances that you would consider some of the most dynamic and unique that you have smelled. Fragrances unlike any others.
Out of zoologist my favorites are the Macaque and the scarab. But you may find a lot of interest in trying out their scents like squid, bee and dodo. If anything, just to try them, they are certainly polarizing.

I have 2 of his perfumes and love them both: eau suave and corsica furiosa ❤❤❤ This is a great house and a very talented perfumer, you need to brush up your French to go interview him soon…

Equistrius was supposed to represent the horse breath .. because Marc antoine is a big fan of horses and hold quite some in Corsica .. but my only issue was the violet personally other wise this is beautiful and super soft compared tot he others ..
Yes, I think it's the violet that confuses me as well.
I have two men in the house that wear commercial Oud fragrances, made within the last 5 years. They smell very good. I tried Frederic Malle's The Night today and I still have a headache. Instant revulsion. Is it an acquired taste, like whisky and dark chocolate, these expensive and complicated OUDs?
It’s not for me to say whether it’s an acquired taste.
If the two gents in question are enjoying the ‘commercial’ scents you mention, then I’d say they should continue to wear them. Of course, I don’t know what they are, so I can’t comment on them. Putting aside the issue of whether someone likes it or not, the oud note in The Night provides an excellent representation of what oud is.
Speaking of naturals, have you heard of Soma Parfums? Also an independent English perfumer working with naturals. I am curious how you find the fragrances.

Longevity wise, as far as I know, the more natural a fragrance is, the lesser it lasts .... Which to me is actually a good thing. Pardon my grammar 😅
That's not necessarily true. Some all-natural scents can be very long-lasting.
@@Persolaise Longevity is not very important. Max 6 hours is more then enough. But it has to project for a couple of hours and have a bit of sillage.
