These two brands just makes me roll my eyes and go on with my day. Way too expensive for what they are.

      I’m inclined to agree.

In a strong field of contenders, this is your best shirt.
    Thanks for the video.

You probably already understand this and this probably wouldn't be right for all brands but sharing from my experience - the description isn't same as the brief. Not always at least.
The reason for this isn't to retro fit things but brief is often more elaborate, layered and contains more than just inspiration part. A lot of things can evolve or change during the process as well. Description - well ideally in my mind - has to wrap up all of that in a cohesive narrative plus make it relevant for the end user.
For example - me creating a scent in memory of my mother isn't exactly relevant to everyone else but what can be relevant and relatable is the process of grief, finding comfort in memories and seeking warmth of a loving relationship to last forever.

I’m so glad you e reviewed these. I almost didn’t watch this though as I just don’t have time for this sort of PR twaddle. Even if I liked Witchy Woo there is no way I could buy a perfume named that. It seems so try hard to me. Can people really believe in this stuff? I mean I’m totally ok with people who practice witchcraft but selling it as wellness, next level plane, astral tunnel is just not my thing

The PR is certainly trying very hard here.
      Thanks for watching.

I wanted a sample of Bibbi’s Soap Club… not anymore. Thanks for sparing me the time Persolaise!

Appreciate your honesty Dariush, I was curious about Bibbi but they sound nothing like my kind of thing.

I’m actually reassured to read this. It means the scent has struck a chord with some people.

I think I enjoy your negative reviews more than the positive ones. LOL! Never had much time for Bobbi and don’t intend to. I didn’t like the scents or the bottles but now that I have heard the background story, I don’t have much inclination to smell them in the future.

Well… as you can see, I’m not impressed either.

Good cons do start with truth before veering off into the ridiculous. Scents have been used for millenia for spiritual and healing purposes. The creative artistic process can feel like an experience of the divine. And this makes the brand story all the more cynical when they slap it on the derivative aromachemical mess.

Thanks for this. Yes, cynical is the word, I’d say.

Nothing about that Bibbi brand appeals. IKEA style packaging meets Gwyneth P. Style bullshit.

I like Iris Wallpaper but o hell this astral claptrap is sooo off putting. WHY?? when the fragrance cannot speak for itself the copywriters have a field day :) Can you imagine what a house like Guerlain makes of all this nonsense? no thanks

I know what you mean. Or maybe the other brands feel they need to get in on this sort of thing as well.
      I hope not!

Well, that was equal parts entertaining and dispiriting! I am thoroughly over the gimmicky stories and despair that people keep bringing these sorts of brands to market. No one will ever think of them 10 years hence.
Perhaps your honest review will bring their chakras into focus!

I doubt it. But at least I said what I felt I had to say.
