It seems that this is one of few channels that reviews modern cars and doesn't spend 5 minutes rambling about lane assist and GPS navigation options, and actually talks about how it FEELS to drive. Subbed!
They could've reduced the tires down to 285s all around instead of 305s. I feel 305s is a bit too much. Especially for the front. Because its gonna add on extra rolling resistance, rolling weight, and costs for the tires
@@devildogentertainment4904 well you need to also get spacers which isn't good for the rotors and wheels, and if you want the adjustable suspension, you have to get the widebody package
As much as I love a manual, I'd probably go for the automatic. City I live in is now bumper to bumper traffic. I live 10 miles from work. It's now a 45 minute commute and I counted 350 gear changes on a trip last week.
I don't regret getting the automatic for a minute. I've had enough "manmissions" as daily drivers in my life. I've also got adaptive cruise control, which you can't get in the manual, and won't own another daily car without it either.

I would have to go with the leather interior, I won't pay 55K for cheap ass alcantara. First mods will be tint and having those wheels chromed. Enjoyed the video, keep up the great work!

Thanks to you I’m planning on getting one probably not wide body but still man just subbed!👍🏽
This is the best Challenger Skat Pack video, and I've watched dozens, excellent POV, amazing and so fun acceleration shots, you rocked this video- good job. Oh and btw, I want your car in F8 green w/ 2 black stripes, and I need the manual trans. Might hold out till the 2020 comes out but this near 500HP Challenger widebody is my choice bc I think a hellcat would tempt me towards a skiddish demise. 717HP I don't think so but nearly 500HP oh hell yeah! I'm so sold.
Gorgeous car!! The stock exhaust sounds awesome also. A friend of mine has a 16 charger scat pack. The 8 speed transmission makes a big difference between the older ones. I had a 12 charger srt.
If gas is you’re concern, you’re on the wrong channel, I’ve had T/A’s, Formula 350’s back in the 70’s 80’s & 90’s driven vets, BMW’s & AMG’s, driven a Hellcat, but hands down, drove a 2023 Challenger Scat Pack, WB/SHAKER, from Central Florida to Palm Beach, I-95, hands down best 2.5 hours of 40+ years of muscle pleasure that I can remember! Hence the reason, I bought a Challenger 2023 WB/Scat Pack. Luv this car, & the Scat is the sweet spot of the Challengers.
SMILES PER GALLON! Actually had the chance to buy a used 2019 wide body in destroyer grey color. Has a rear after market diffuser & quad exhaust w/a after market air intake. Bumped it up to about 500hp! This car is so fun, beautiful, comfy, a head turner & has a ROAD presence LIKE no other car out! 🤷🏽♂️👍🏽🥂🙇🏽♂️
I bought a manual scat pack instead and it is a ton of fun no regrets. I also got the opportunity to drive an automatic i have to say the auto feels 2x times more responsive when shifting but it takes the fun away from the engagement aspect like you said.
The manual is amazing. The clutch felt lighter than a Camaros clutch. Also, the gearshift action is awesome, and feels mechanical and solid. The other person who replied to your comment doesn't know what he's talking about. Anyways, I'd recommend you to take a test drive before plonking any cash on any car. Cheers

@Pharoah Monk hea but I'm 19 and the insurance will dry dock me. And the gas mileage. Plus I just test drove the 2019 chalky rt and the pull force was insane to me. I've never felt a pull force like that before - especially from an entry v8. If the 345 was that powerful, I cannot imagine how the 392 would feel. But you are right. It's best to shell out the extra cash for the big one instead of cheating out and then laughing now, cry later

I was planing to get the granite but after seeing this in reality I just don't need anything except the plum crazy! I hope my plan work so well that I get the car before this comment make it to a year from now. Wish me luck!
I think the best thing about a wide body in the Challengers is that it handles way better....I have 2015 Scat and if I went how fast he went on a curve like that I would be dead probably
I’m glad that dodge is was smart to keep that old school muscle car tradition rather than the mustang or camaro. The challenger is the true ultimate American muscle car than the mustang or camaro. Dodge really knows how to power a big boat because they make the best v8 engines with superchargers that can beat a Lamborghini. Dodge even upgraded the TCM which is the transmission control module so that it can shift faster and downshift automatically when you hold the paddle downshifter, it acts like a dct even though it’s the traditional automatic transmission. Also the challenger is more practical because it has more cargo space and the rear passenger side is more bigger than the mustang or camaro. The rear passengers will be more comfortable and more pleasant in the challenger rear passenger seats than in the mustang or camaro because the rear passengers will be uncomfortable in the mustang or camaro rear seats because it’s smaller. So that’s why dodge is the best American sport car. Good job dodge 👍🏼
I love how he says every video he’s done with a challenger he burns a quarter of a tank but he also has his foot through the throttle every second almost
I didnt see you have sport mode on in the beginning. Ive driven my 16 scat since new with it on everytime i drive it, and currently have 32k miles on it. With sport mode the shift time is cut in half. It punches into gears hard with it on and makes it even more fun to drive.
I like the car because of the fact it has usable power, unlike the hellcat you can rev it out and not get fined to shit and just enjoy it, fun car for sure.

Hey TheTopher Just subbed to your channel a week ago, LOVE THE CONTENT you do , also I use a lot of the cars you use in vids, in Forza Horizon 4! So yeah, keep up the good content.
As far as sound, I live near a 6-lane road that gets a lot of cars racing from the light. There's some nasty-sounding GT's running around but there is nothing like that 392 roar (Hellcat included of course). Especially when blasting through A8 gears.
There are some horribly expensive Pirelli Winter Sottozero winter tires in the factory size, 305/35R20. There are some other options too, Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32 in 295/35R20 would fit, and there is some more winter tire selection in the 275 and 285 sizes. Technically a 275/40R20 fits on a 20x11 rim, but it might look a bit stretched. Anyway, I love this car. I can't imagine parting with my 2016 Scat Pack 392, but I know this is what I'd get if I was in the market.

I feel like they should go with a new non outdated frame, don't get me wrong the Challenger is great as is, but it'd be really interesting to see what it could do with a whole lot less weight.
Well, you do get some benefits from that mass. The spacious interior, big comfortable seating, usable rear seat are all big deals, and that's all paid for with weight. The sense of solidity on the road is also hard to duplicate in a lighter car. Then there's the sheer physical presence they have. One could argue that the Challenger has been a success partly because of its weight, not in spite of.
I guess you're right, the Challenger IS meant to have huge presence, the biggest and baddest of all the muscle cars, maybe Dodge could whip up something else with that V8, and keep the Challenger as is
