Thanks for the nice detailed video. I always enjoy a good Challenger review and demo. I'm daily driving my '19 R/T Scat Pack 392 Widebody in Octane Red Pearl and fully optioned. I drove a 2012 Charger SXT-Plus for 7 years and it was very nice but I always yearned for the V8. Charger is more practical if you have kids and elders to shuttle around, but I'm past all that in my life and wanted to get back to a 2-door coupe like I had in my teens and 20's. I'm absolutely loving my new Challenger. It just might be the best car I've ever owned. Some people say it's a boat but I love that about it. People say their tiny sports car is lighter and faster... I don't care about that at all. Challenger is a great cruiser, very comfortable all the time and is great for all-day trips. In ECO mode with the adaptive cruise on, it's actually pretty good on gas, and it springs to life and kicks ass when you give it the beans. I drive it in winter too. I have a set of dedicated winter 275x20" tires on alloy Replika R216 20"x10.5" rims and it handles just fine.
@@thedon897 I went from savannah ga to Miami twice back and forth and ga to ny back and forth 4 times and to nc 5 in my challenger so ur actually wrong lots of my friends like road tripping in it too
Not gonna lie. Seeing these videos is making me sick to my stomach. But I can't stop watching them, I can't stop thinking of the Scat Pack Wide-Body. I just really hope I don't run out of time on getting one of these when I have all the money together. People make it sound as if you need to go right now and get one before 2023 gets here, or it will be too late. So far I have 5 Thousand saved up. But my goal is to pay 15 to 20,000 on the down payment. That away I can get them payments really low. Grrrrrrrrrr why couldn't I be rich lol. If I lose out on getting this car. I'm gonna slip into depression fr haha.
@robdiv5848 Already did it, lol. I ended up getting my 2022 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack on September 10th of 2022. I've had it now over a year. Already put 24K miles on it. Color is Smoke Show with Sun Roof and Red Calipers. The inside I have the Alcantara Ruby Red Seats and Red Doors. Even the stitching is red. She's beautiful and lots of fun.
Yes definitely. You can get this Scar Pack with the 6.4L closer to $40k without all of the extra options here. V8 mustang and Campari can be in the mid to upper $30s with slightly less power. I believe the Charger Scat Pack with 6.4L is the same price as this too starting around $40. You won’t find anything else with this kind of engine/power for those prices for sure
I own a 2020 widebody challenger.. its cheaper to go aftermarket for a widebody kit as the widebody option is around 6,000 from Dodge but offers much more than the fender flares. U get 305 pirelli p zero tires, stiffer adaptive shocks- bilstien suspension, 20 inch forged rims, stiffer springs, stiffer sway bars front and back.. actually the stiffest of any challenger including the hellcats, adaptive drive modes, brembo 6 piston front 4 piston rear. 3.09 rear axle ratio. Not sure if he mentioned these things in the vid.
Once you price out rims and tires and other things that come with the package it way more. I just ordered my widebody Sunday. 3/4 months wait. I'm ready
I would definitely just buy a widebody it’s not going to ride the same plus you have to buy 10 -11inch wheels for the widebody to fit properly unless you use adapters to pull the wheels out
I ended up buying this exact car in Tor Red. I put 11,000 miles on it in 4 months. I can tell you the pros and cons and any little thing if anyone has any questions
@@fernandodominguez9143 I had the roof trip replaced because it was peeling up on one side. The fuel pump was replaced. I run 93 octane. It rides like a dream at any speed. Terrible fuel mileage but this bitch will run!
Do you deal with alot of rock chips? Specifically on the fender flares? I've read that's a major issue with the widebodys as they kick up rocks from the wide tires
Don't forget it needs a "skip shift eliminator" from an after market supplier, which you need to install yourself on the manual transmission, otherwise you cannot got from 1st to 2nd around 14 to 18 mph! A major problem for some of us who aren't always racing but still prefer to row gears.
Dodge naming convention must be the most confusing one in the whole automotive industry: Dodge - OK Challenger - OK RT - so this is 5.7? Scat Pack - ... 6.4? Widebody - WTF is this car equipped with? :D
He underestimates the speed and power. I think it is faster than Camaro and a lot faster than the Mustang. The Mustang feels big and boaty to me and very slow. I think it is overrated because it was slower than my R/T manual in 2014. They just underrate Challengers for some reason. It is massive though, and is a pain to turn. There are a lot of quality issues with a Dodge though. It's good for tall people who don't have to park on the street or in the city.
@@FRWD_FXLRST the new Camaro is ridiculous and probably a little faster than even the scat pack. It's too small for me though. The Mustang feels about the same in stick as the 5.7 2014 Challenger stick. It feels big and heavy to me. Never drove the auto. If Chevy put out a 1960s style Camaro again, they would dominate the industry.
It is faster than the Camaro and Mustang in strait line performance. It is depending on the Trim level, DA, and driver skills, but like the reviewer said, who cares...lol It is a ridiculous fun car to own a drive.
im thinking of trading my GT already for one of these, or a regular Scat Pack ( no Widebody), how is the ride in normal mode? not too harsh or stiff is it? i live in a town where some of the streets aren't the best. unless you stay on main roads. thanks!
Dude, this car is a straight up Grand Touring Coupe. It's supremely nice riding, spacious and very comfortable. I have a 22 Scat WB Shaker M6 with the strut tower bar and Summer Tires and I'll tell you this... I would road trip this beast anyplace. Honestly, I don't even think there is another car on Earth I would choose over it. But when you want to throw down with some spirited driving? You got that too with the best handling ever put into any Challenger and nearly any MOPAR product.
Seems like a biased review. To much of "its ok, it works crap" This car is awesome. Better interior than Mustang and Camaro. Better infotainment for sure, no comparison. Does it handle as well? No but there isn't that much difference unless you're tracking the car all the time. Seriously who is doing that? Not very many. Go watch videos on the track with this car and you will be impressed. The ride is way nicer, and it's faster in 1/4 mile than the SS or GT. The looks are absolutely awesome. In my opinion on the ss 1le is as good. This car is in a class of its own literally.
@Timothy Jeffries Dude I have the same car a 2020 widebody scatpack. The rims in the video are the optional ones I have the same rims did you understand my comment? I know the devils rims are standard but the rims in the video are the optional ones called carbon black which is a $1,295 option.
