    I am surprised that theatre seats with narrow headrests aren't more common. You don't need to have the headrest as wide as the whole seat. In my mind this would be the best of both worlds.

      Some that lowered up and down so you could set to the base of the head just below the ears is what i'd like. At least to me seems like it would work to get some head support but not block the rears. Of course they'd need to slide up and down and tilt forward.

    Hi, Gurus I have Polk Reserve series speakers, the R700 towers 38Hz-- 38Khz, the R400 center 48Hz - 39KHz, and the R200 Bookshelf 51Hz - 38KHz what cross over settings do you suggest for these speakers? I'm very new to home theater.

    I've had the Tuscany XL luxury for a little over a year and I wouldn't give up the headrest either. No issues so far and would purchase them again. They're expensive but we use them every day so that helps justify it.

      Agreed. That style fits my needs better and bang for the buck, they bring it!

    We are building a home theater room, I thought of going with Valencia but sadly their support was very bad. So decided to look elsewhere. But iam happy you are happy with them :D
    Plus. Your videos are the best for educating the people. Thank you.

    I spent quite a while trying to decide wether to go for comfort or performance on my seats & ended up going for comfort with the Tuscany. I've said it before but I'd love a Tuscany chair but with a weird looking tiny head rest around 6 inch wide that support your head with less sound blockage.
    My "threats" don't seem to work on people 😅 so I also went for durable leather as glossy wood finishes would get scratched up & chocolate would get melted/rubbed into velour type materials.

      Ha... well the room can easily be sealed shut from their use so I have that as leverage...:)

    These look to be more for two channel setups.

      That and some like sitting more upright like on a couch. It's definitely a preference thing.

      I don't get it. Why are you both saying that this seats are for two channel set up?
      In my opinion, the point of not having head support is to hear sounds from behind, so for a 5.1, 7.1 or Atmos set up, this ones are perfect.
      For a two channel set up I would go for ones that have head support, becouse I don't mind to block sound from behind becouse there is non.

      @@santiagoezquerrocordon1470 because I don’t sit in my room to listen to music for HOURS at a time. I only listen very brief moments and to me comfort of full head support is important in my HT.

      @@santiagoezquerrocordon1470 In two channel if you really care about it, you don't want a high back for that either. A two channel listening chair is a low back which this chair fits perfectly. A two channel enthusiast that really understands their hobby would choose this chair all day long over a high back and especially the fabric over leather. However I said "audiophile" in the video which is someone who wants absolutely no compromise to audio. Check out the video and it's explained in detail.

    Just get incliner seats. Best of both worlds.

    • @hometheatergurus
      @hometheatergurus  Год назад

      inclinder? You mean those with the headrest that tuck away?

    • @commanderrussels2612
      @commanderrussels2612 Год назад

      @@hometheatergurus yes, the headrest retracts into the seat. so you can have it where the headrest doesn't block anything for the best sound, or recline and then the motorized headrest "inclines" to give you support. jaymar makes them, bunch of brands do. lots of couches are made that way now too.

    • @hometheatergurus
      @hometheatergurus  Год назад

      @@commanderrussels2612 I'd pass on the ones that swing back. There's never a time I'd want zero head support.
      I'd like some that slide up and down and you set it where you want. For instance behind the head or slide down closer to base of the skull when desired. Fully adjustable up and down and some tilt as well. That way you can adjust so ears aren't blocked but you have some head support. Something may exist but I haven't seen them.
