I got custom made recliners done with back support going up to shoulder height and headrest is a thin headrest which doesn't interrupt sound coming from all sides to the ears. Has enough padding and is caved in to hold the head right. And be comfortable while giving uninterrupted experience. But yes getting custom made recliners is easy in India as we have lot many local furnishing houses who do that. I am not sure that it is easy to find one in USA or other countries and at a reasonable price.
Thanks for making this extremely useful comparison video and sharing your height for reference. Theater seating choices is a challenging personal decision that there is no chance for a person to trial and change their mind on. Videos like this are personally helpful
Team low back for life. High back blocks sounds especially from the rear and also doesn't help sounds from the front. Had high back once and the was the biggest mistake I ever made. 2 channel or home theater, low back
This new theater is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous ❤❤🔥🔥. Congratulations. So glad to see you back where you belong. Looking forward to all the future content.
Barcelona for the win, I feel. It's too bad they don't have internal storage options for remotes and what have you. Do you think you'll ever replace the front row with the black, less wide version of the Barcelona? It's only money.
How much does height factor in to how comfortable the low rise chairs are for lengthy viewing? I have to guess a 6' 3" person is gonna have some real issues that a 5'8" person might not.
They need to make acoustically transparent headrests like the ones in office chairs I guess. Thanks for that review as It's my next purchase for my HT.
Dude.... WTF!!!! That room looks like a level from a fricken scifi video game! PLEASE DO A ROOM TOUR !!!!! I really want to know what went into the design and building of that room! It looks sick!
Thank you I got ikea couch 🛋 bed 🛌 theater system in bedroom congratulations 🎉 new theater 🎥 looking classy beautiful Bridgeport Connecticut 🎬📽🎬🇺🇸🎥🇺🇸👍😎👍
Oh yeah I forgot Shane, you think you’re slick about filming the chairs in the theater room, because you already knew that the viewers was going to focus on the speakers and the background of the theater.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Has anyone ordered through them and got half your order from one freight company and half from another? They are stating they sometimes ship different parts of the couch from different locations at different times. Just want to know if anyone has had that experience with them or something similar. Thank you
Who sits watching a movie without the seat being - reclined?! I should think the sound issue for the high back seats when - reclined - isn’t as much of an issue for your - ears? Certainly, in my theatre, our high back seats are always - reclined - full-tilt! With room for eight, no one has ever complained about lack of sound / sound effects because of the height of the seat backs. (Meanwhile, my Marantz Cinema50 (7.3 system) does a wonderful job of sound fullness either in dolby atmos or Auro2D / just saying.) Having said that . . . interesting to have the seating choice though. BUT Then there is the cost! At $1000 to $1500 EACH?! - seating costs have sure soared over the years. In addition, while easier to clean, leather is cold to the touch/clammy and the reason why we chose our valour cloth when we bought our theatre seats 15 years ago. Granted, given our room’s constant use for our grandchildren who want to see their shows, I often have to use our fabric shampoo machine to keep the room looking nice for the adults!
@@therealshanelee That explains your logic. Meanwhile, glad to see you are connected to dreammedia and audioholics now. Good mix of “product-pitch reviews” with “objective-measurable-product-reviews” from “trustworthy” sources.
home theatre looks great. if your going for a nice sound expirience, covering your ears from the back surrounds is a nono from me. Always go for seats that allow for every speaker to actually reach your ear.
Still using my Berkline 088s. Narrow enough that a row of 3 was under 90 inches and seat back is 38.5 inches. I wish there were more narrower options with low seat backs. Home theater seat manufacturers seem to follow the typical home theater motto of bigger is always better. If they offered a smaller Barcelona that was about 90 inches wide for a row of 3 with armrests I’d probably consider it. 100 inches is still too large for my 15’ wide theater space.
Hello Shane, I just watched your video about the chairs, the theater looks nice but I noticed the surround side speakers need to be moved forward a little, because if anyone sits on the end chairs they will block the sound. Theater does appear to look amazing.
I’m of the school of thought that favors a loveseat with side tables, and coffee table. I feel that arm rests consume too much of the sweet spot. I’m also skeptical that I would be filling up rows. It’s nice to have space for a couple buddies, but I can’t bear to think that someone would be bumped to a sub par seat. So for that reason I favor a single row philosophy. While pragmatically the sweetspot isn’t much larger than a loveseat and most of my movie moments are 1 on 1 experiences anyway, 3 could even squeeze in on occasion. Assuming they take their insulin. As a student of Feng-Shui, I have a love for furniture play, and enjoy loveseats for their versatility. I’m really favoring having 2-3 loveseats in a living room environment, imagining a hybridized home theater living room space. I like that a loveseat lends it’s self to guests visiting as couples, which I feel is somewhat of a flow later in life. Couches being just too large and cumbersome for most residential spaces, often dominating and congesting a space, while loveseats have allot more flexibility and are easily moved by a single person. Which brings me to another favored living quality, which is the ability to transform! I’ve been working on various concepts that allow for more seats based around simple movements of the furniture. Like seats that rotate for viewing a screen or for socializing. A large foam filled beanbag makes for a fantastic bass trap and also impromptu front row seating. A loveseat and a pair of beanbags is where I’m currently at philosophically for my next theater flow. The shibari webs and hammocks are still in the works. There’s a thin line between hot aerialists slithering down silks, and slack-lining hippies working on their van in your driveway. Speaking of which, I should probably get to fixing that van…

Barcelona all day. Theater is looking killer bro!
Thanks!
Loving you new home theatre, well done Shane! Looking forward to a full video about it
I know you were talking about seating, or something. But all I could look at were all those RBH’s 😤😤😤💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
🤫 Nobody notices.

I did it so you'd stop roasting me.
@@therealshanelee i think you meant so you had a new theater from which you could roast all of us🤣😂😅
Great video, it does well to illustrate the difference between the low back and high back options.
The theater is looking good

I've been thinking about. But the Monza's won't be staying in front. They're too tall.
I’d imagine at 6’2” the moveable headrest would still be too low for my neck 🤷♂️
Giants need not apply 😁

I just sold my tuscany premier and am going to mwave. Hopefully, they will have the tuscany ultimate luxury edition there and have a show discount
5' 8" slash 5' 9", thats what I say as well mate or sometimes 5'8" & a half ish. You gotta let them know your over that 5'8" mark 😅✌
Lol. With boots or sneakers. Always different.

He's probably 5'6
I want to join team low back. Even for 2 channel audiophile stuff, I notice sound coloring when my head is up against a headrest.
Do you know any good home theater seats that have built-in subwoofers or speakers that vibrate and stuff?
Gaming chairs.
Personally. Team Low back
The seats look great. I'm partial to the higher back seats on the first row, tho. The HT is Mint, Sir! Well done indeed!

Low Back all day, for a single row it’s the best option in my opinion especially when you have rear surrounds.
Great video Shane. Theater looks fantastic. Will there be a tour coming soon
Yep
@@therealshanelee great………can’t wait

Yep! I don't need to be so comfortable that I can fall asleep and I don't recline to point of looking at the ceiling lol

Shane, new theater is looking killer. Was there an unveiling or did you just go into presenting it in your recent videos?
It's not complete yet.
Well your certainly shooting from the right angles, I’d not have thought it was incomplete

I sit upright most of the time. It feels better on my back a lot of the times. Same for when I'm at the local cinema.
@@therealshanelee That explains your logic. Meanwhile, glad to see you are connected to dreammedia and audioholics now. Good mix of “product-pitch reviews” with “objective-measurable-product-reviews” from “trustworthy” sources.
Why don't they manufacture a 1/3rd headrest to provide the best of both, comfort and sound?
Have you ever tried the RowOne Calvari and if so how do they compare to the Barcelona?
They felt cheaper.
@@therealshanelee To be fair they are less expensive lol. But yeah, they aren't the same kind of long term investment for heavy use.
Shane lee the guy washing his car before car meets.
Low back for optimal sound quality but for most people they want comfort throughout their whole body.
I'm here to change their minds. Comfort is so last year.
Team Barcelona all day. Best of both worlds…. Hear everything with the low back, with the option to have the head rest when you want it.
💪🏽💪🏽
Arcadia in Melzo (Italy) has low seats, and that's one of the best Atmos theater in Europe. Also I don't wanna sleep in my home cinema lol.

Need a loveseat with narrow headrests like in a car so Sound can go directly to your ears but still give heat/neck support. Thanks!
Interesting point. And why not making them removable like in cars?
