We currently have Valencias that we got 2 years ago. They have been nice seats. But we got to sit in the Revelations today at Audio Advice Live. My husband and I both wish these had been available when we bought ours. These are more comfortable than ours, particularly the lumbar. But also we cannot use the LEDs because our currents ones are only on and off. The dimmable feature is huge. We also don't use our current tray tables. After seeing the one in the Revelations, we are both really impressed. We can't buy them today, but we will probably look to buying them for Christmas this year. Great video Michael. Hey Dustin - I will be purchasing theater seats soon and my first choice was the Valencia Tuscany Ultimate Luxury chairs. I would be curious to hear your opinion after you set up and use your chairs.

The compromise with short backs, is it difficult to watch an entire movie without upper back and neck support. The simple answer is to recline when watching a movie and you don’t have any obstruction.
I have demoed these chairs personally at their other location. I liked them quite a bit and they made my short list of considerations. Like Michael in the video, I also noticed the extended recline position these go to in comparison to Tuscany (which I ended up purchasing instead)
These were just released today so unless you were in the store today, you were either sitting in their previous model the Revolution or maybe a prototype when they were getting feedback. If your local definitely come back and check out the new Revelation seats.
@@Youthman Michael it was the definitely the revelation. I also tested the Revolution. They were ready to sell to me. Again. This was at their Charlotte location. I made a comment about my feedback and experience on their video yesterday and they said it must have been a prototype (but the salesman never told me as such but anyways) I decided on the Tuscany instead cause I didn’t like the feel of the lumbar feature when not in use (I still felt something there). In my Tuscany I can go from zero to in use. Hard to explain. But anyways. I will be at AAL tomorrow and sit on them again and see if it’s been changed. I did tell them I miss having the memory function but do prefer the button and usb location on the revelation above Tuscany and I was very very impressed at the touch and feel of the fake leather.
Hey Frankie - I am looking for theater seats now for my theater I am building. I am leaning toward the Tuscany as well but saw this video on the Revelation seats and was curious. I was surprised to find out they only offer a 1 year warranty. If they believe in their product then they need to back it up with a good warranty like Valencia (3-5 yrs). I have chronic low back pain. Do you think this chair might aggravate that?
Thanks guys! These are a very attractive option. Can you comment on how that material compares to the cheapo bonded leather as far as durability? Ive read mixed opinions
These are not bonded leather. As you likely know bonded leather usually is pieces of leather effectively bonded/glued together. As you point out, this creates a durability challenge historically for bonded leather. These are Vegan Leather, which has no animal products in it. The durability is very high in this type of Vegan leather we use because we expect them to get heavy use by children and many others. Hope that helps.
@@hifihometheater Great question. In my opinion, the broader market is moving towards vegan leather both for environmental reasons but also it is incredibly durable (even more than "top grain" options on other chairs that we and others sell) and has a host of advantages (Telsa and Rivian have both done this as well). Because these chairs will take a stronger beating than even a seat in a Tesla or Rivian, these seats use a slightly thicker vegan leather that has texture that you can see in the video shots. Unlike leather, you don't really need to treat these at all to keep them in great condition. Whereas on leather you need to regularly treat it to protect the leather and its durability and even then you will see scratches, wine spills, etc on top grain leather. You can also sit on these with bluejeans as many times as you want and you won't see anything or hurt it. I have now lived with this fabric for testing purposes for some time and we've spilled food, jumped on them, worn jeans, you name it, and the look and feel has not changed. I suspect in 5 years the vast majority of high end car manufacturers and furniture manufacturers will have made the change to Vegan leather for all these reasons. Hope that helps.
I bought a row of 3 Seatcraft Diamante for my recent home theatre build. After using the seats for 2 months and watching this video, here are the features I wish I could steal from this video. 1. Tray - My trays are square with a shiny finish. Not only can I not use the cupholder when using the tray, but they are slick and big vibrations cause the remotes to fall off of them. The trays also get finger prints all over them and start looking gross after use. Audio Advice should sell the trays on the side, I'd buy one to upgrade my current tray. 2. Dimmable LEDs - I have to keep the LEDs off because in the reclined position, the bottom half of the screen becomes blue. I still think they could design it where the LEDs are pointed or focused downwards so you don't have the light bleed on the screen. 3. Food Catcher - My favorite movie snack is popcorn, which is also one of the hardest foods to eat. I am constantly dropping popcorn on my seat and losing it underneath. 4. Chair Connector - That was one of the things I was most disappointed with in my purchase. No way to lock the chairs together, sure you can push them together but its hard to get right. I might try and build or fabricate a solution for mine. Great video, kind of wish these chairs were available like 4 months ago, but oh well.
Both are great chairs. The leather on the Tuscany is softer to the touch but as a result, you have to wipe them down more as they more easily show if you have any grease on your fingers or hair. Affordable is subjective though. Everyone’s affordable looks different. Most people that buy these seats very likely do not make $150,000 a year. Cars, fishing boats, RVs, ATV’s, And any number of other things cost equally as much or more. We all choose to spend money on what we find important and everyone’s budget is different. Vegan leather. How long is that going to last before it peel like PU fake leather. Real leather lasts much longer. Had a sofa last 20 years with leather. Had a bonded leather chair once, it's done within 1-2 years before cracking and peeling. It's garbage. So this plant based leather, I am highly skeptical of it lasting.
I know i shouldn't add this and I'm Sorry i just dont understand these type of seats. Again why make them so tall at the back? My wife and family would have no chance of hearing rear channels clearly. Why put electronic controls in a zone on the chair that may family is bound to spill soda all over? In the cup holder! Seems like the worst place to add controls if they're not water proof. Why even have lights in a" theatre" chair in the first place? when you need a room with total darkness. why add these things that just drive up the price with lights and charging. It just seem to distract from watching a film. Why not just have seats without lights and usb sockets in the seats to deal with? I like the zip crumb catching but. I'm so very clearly not the customer here. But for a theatre seat. I can't help but lean towards a regular recliner sofa seat if u wanna put your feet up and still listen to your surround sound channels with maximum quality 3 seats sofa for under $500. Anyways.. If u like them. Good for you. Enjoy

More than $1000 doesn't qualify as AFFORDABLE !!!!!
Enjoy
Its more affordable than Valencia cause its fake leather which will peel. No thanks.
