Veloster N and TLX TS both on P zero all seasons 500tw. 50* sunny weather dry conditions.
We apologize for that one guy freaking out. 🤣🤣🤣
Apparently the rotors never got red hot as it did not show rainbow colors from cooling down. The pads itself were red hot but the braking system didn't seem to fail nor did the tlx ts give any warning messages like last weekend; no brake fade nor fluid boil. Split second decision to pour liquid on the fire itself vs air cooling as we don't know if there is a small brake fluid leak. Better to buy new rotors than to risk more possible fluid leak. Nothing cracked or warped. We do not recommend pouring liquid on hot components!! Only thing we can deduce is Acura used garbage pads! We were lucky!

you gotta keep driving after a run like that but chill mode to cool them down before you stop 100%

Yup. Learned that!!! But didn't think uphill would do this. Come to find out brakes were bad on first batches of these cars.

Wow that's way faster than I could go through there at 3am towing far more than my truck is rated for

Would the tlx be a bad car to learn how to drive fast in?

I am not qualified enough for this question nor condone what these drivers are doing. Also "fast" is subjective term.
I'd suggest learning on a track or auto cross first! Use whatever cat you have. Stay safe and have fun!

You handling a 4300 pounds car vs a zipi 3300 you car is more impressive...the Velo is not faster you are the faster you can keep up with him that say to much about the Acura...try to do the same story with a Charger 5.7 and then you going to understand the Acura

Actually, the Velostar is just as fast as the TLX Type - S. Therefore, the Type - S is not significantly faster, but it is heavier.

never splash 💦 water when the break rotor is hot it will damage your rotor badly bro.

Now you have scratched wheels and warped rotors

No sir. The rotors weren't that hot and we drove home. Pads were red hot but rotors never did. Poor pad material. Again, do not dump liquids on hot metal but we panicked.
