the triple-tip exhaust is a signature feature of the ITS. It's a total shame (showstopper for me) that Apexi went with a dual tip, like every other car out there. I appreciate the quiet comfort mode, seems like a super nice exhaust. I would order one now if it had the triple tips.
Lithium in my GTI dropped 30lbs in weight. For a GTI, almost 1% drop in total weight. Expensive but hope it lasts longer and always have emergency jump. Quality power supply.
9:32 that face right there is pure car-modding joy 😄. Thanks for the external fly by videos of the exhaust, it sounds SICK. 20:06 Is there a little bit of rattle in comfort/valve closed from a stop? From A'PEXi's video and this one it sounds little a little bit of rattle from outside. These videos are incredible, thanks for making them.
Love the exhaust...just sick. I wanted a liquid carbon metallic exterior but I ended up with the platinum white pearl. Got the blacked out badges, illuminated emblem and doorsills, alcantara wheel, titanium shifter, type s floor/trunk mats, bronze wheels and an extra set of the OEM wheels/tires. I've had it for a month it's still completely stock but I love it. (All at MSRP) That LCM color though is just....damn.
I should get my milltek exhaust pretty soon here. I’m with type S terry. Retaining the valve is a must. I noticed the valve has a bit of rattle in comfort on the apexi? Is that something that bothers you?
No I never drive it in comfort mode but inside the car you can’t hear it either way and it only make the slight rattle on take off I think it’s cause the valve on the exhaust itself is not like a pressed fit so it has slight play where it sits inside but it’s not noticeable unless your outside of the car and taking off or revving it on idle
@@avo_fg2 I just got it in today. Can’t wait to install it. I got the road +. The non resonated is too raspy for me and the double resonator one might sound worst than the stock one! Road + seem like the just right one.
I'm wanting to get a Type-S some time soon. Was looking at different mods on the Internet a few nights ago and saw the Apexi cat back. Hands down the best looking and sounding exhaust I've seen so far. The three tip exhaust IMO looks stupid. Enough to where my first mod would be the Apexi cat back. It'd be $2500 well spent. Love the content. Brings back memories of my Honda days when I had my 2000 Type-R and B16 EG Civic. I had Apexi N1 on my Type-R and a Apexi World Sport 2 on my EG. I also ran a Apexi GT Spec on my 2006 EVO 9 SE. They make great stuff.
Any way to get rid of the snap crackle pops thing? That is so annoying. Other than that, the exhaust is absolutely beautiful along with the entire car. I love the build so far.
Sounds great as always and thank you for all your awesome videos. I'm sure the inside cabin is quiet and liveable too. Also, at certain RPMs I can hear a tin-like noise. Which I'm sure is from the louder exhaust. Any way to get rid of that?
LiFePO4 batteries are generally the safest type of lithium battery. They are much less likely to catch fire than Li-Ion or Li-Poly batteries, even if they are damaged or overcharged. LiFePO4 batteries have the longest lifespan compared to Li-Ion, and Li-Poly batteries, it can be charged and discharged up to 2,000 times or more before they need to be replaced. That's about four times longer than most lead-acid batteries.
Hi i am having difficulty installing the actuator to Apexi exhaust. Do i have to reset the brand new actuator as well? Also should the valve be in closed position when installing the actuator?
I have an Integra Type S myself and Im looking on which exhaust to purchase. I was wondering what made you pick the Apexi exhaust over the others on the market? AWE, Remark, Milltek, MBRP.
Couple of main reasons 1st being it still utilizes the stock valve design and 2nd is there is absolutely no drone and I have heard some of the other exhausts and there are some that drone pretty loud on highway cruising so this exhaust hits all the points I was looking for and it sounds amazing and this is why we went with the apexi not to say any others are better or worse but the quality and sound of the apexi is next to none
@@tjlockwood4152 Thanks for the feedback. The Apexi is on my shopping list among with the Remark. Those are the ones to me that stand out the most in terms of build quality and sound. However the Remark deletes the stock valve. My next question is can the Apexi be mounted with the PRL front pipe?
@@osmairycastillo6596 yes it can we mounted the apexi to my rv6 front pipe the front pipe should all be the same length with what ever brand you go with
@@tjlockwood4152 I ask because the Apexi can be purchased with and without the front pipe. I’ve seen that other exhaust come with their own front pipe because the angle to where you mount the rest of the exhaust does not match the RV6 or PRL.
Thanks for this Video! I am currently in the market for a exhaust for my Type S! This exhaust sounds nice! I just want something a little louder but with less pops! Does this exhaust have the option for partial resonator? And as far as build quality, what would you say is a better exhaust... Miltech or this one?
I definitely love the sound of this exhaust, but wish we could maintain the same level of pop and burbles the stock exhaust has. Maybe that’s the difference of having down pipe or not? 🤷🏽♂️
I have the Hondata set up for more aggressive bangs and pops you can have the same stock pops it’s just setup in the Hondata I like the more aggressive one
