"I wish my old man could be here to shake your hand, he'd say you're a badass" Dale Jr to Jimmie Johnson 🙏🏼👼🏼
#3
Shadow Williams I doubt he would say that
hell yeah man, Jimmie is a cool dude
James Gentry Dale Jr. did say it at 8:06 and I'm pretty sure he would know better than anyone what his Dad would think/say about J.J.'s win/championship.
Shadow Williams made me smile
It just warmed my heart when Dale Jr came up and said "I wish my ol man could be here to shake your hand because he'd say your a badass"
This 44 year old Ottawa man cried when he said that live on tv
That was so cool
You know, I like the Hendrick guys, but I don't like JGR, but Carl's actions, his calmness, and his overall attitude gained him a new fan.
@@ic3man ha
@@ic3man nope
This aged like a charm
Luke Breitschopf I don’t even remember commenting this
Luke Breitschopf god I hate my younger self
That's how you know Carl is a great person.
Justin Moore I felt reap bad for him. Hit me right in the feels.
Justin Moore I don't feel bad for Joe Gibbs Racing because Joe Gibbs was a former red skins coach in NFL also I'm a Carolina Panthers Fan, Yep I absolutely HATE Red Skins and Joe Gibbs.
Justin Moore Joey's response is so arrogant though. He talks like he's king of the racetrack or something.
ModernMan64 that's why I hate him oh and I'm a Jr fan so that too
I am absolutely heartbroken that he won't return for 2017.
That line from Jeff, "You can't stop at 7!" hurts so much. But even then, I'll never forget this race. What a way to get your last championship... 43rd to 1st. Only one of the all-time greats could do that.
Technically, 40th. There were only 40 cars
I'm a Jimmie fan for life and everytime I come back and watch this I shed happy tears. Literally the best day of my life
My heart has never pumped harder than it did those last couple restarts
@@thatssoupersame
Edwards may have just became my favorite driver with how he handled this. Truly a good dude. Not too many of those in Nascar, if we go by the radio. And congrats to Johnson.
yeah that was awesome. (and not just because im a Logano fan either.)
Then he left before the next season lol
if tat was any other driver nascar would have had a major fight and joey is a punk
Then you saw it was too late to bandwagon as he left lol
They edited it when Jimmie says to chad, "we gotta get 8." That's only half that sentence. I saw the full sentence on Scan All and he actually says, "We gotta get 8 for you." To tie chad with dale inman.
Colby Reynolds do you know where I can find the full audio of what was said on the stage?
there is a full stream of the race on youtube.
Too bad that wont happen now :(
So sad that can’t happen now, #Chasing8
Wish that dream could become reality, but Jimmie will still be doing it for Chad, just not with him
Really, if you don't like Carl, then I don't know who you are, because Carl is a really kind guy, and he rarely does anything rude towards others. Carl is one of the best sportsmans in not just NASCAR, but maybe even all sports
ruclips.net/video/Wlge72GS6rU/видео.html
Man Carl has a nice championship collection . Oh wait nvm 0
@@keithwillett368 so what. No one cares about how much titles he has. Hes a class act plain and simple. Now go away and stfu
@@arwyss They're fucking teammates lmao
He deserved the championship
I'm a Logano fan and he deserved it
Congratulations to JJ, but Dale Jr is such a class act. what he said brought a tear to my eyes. Dale Sr was a legend.
I gotta admit, this made me want to tear up. I'm not a huge fan of Jimmie but that was absolutely fantastic. Congratulations #48! And Tony Stewart, thank you. We'll miss you.
You aren't the only one that tears up. Jimmie isn't my favorite, but I do like him. That was awesome to watch.
YOOOOO JIMMIES SPOTTER ROASTED RICKY STENHOUSE
DuramaxAD3 XD
classic Earl Barban.
Who Ricky stenhouse
I thought his name was wrecky
spinhouse
@@benjaminrandall4827 Yep.
The intro alone made me tear up. You could tell this was not only special to us JJ fans, but to NASCAR as a whole. Really commemorated Dale there.
That's why I love Edwards. He was at the highest of highs and was brought to the lowest of lows and still found a way to perform a class act like that. Freakin hate Logano for that. Gonna miss Smoke. Congrats JJ!
@Jayden Sanchez yeah Logano wasn't just gonna back off with 10 to go, he would of had no shot at winning if he backed out
That wasn’t joeys fault for once. Carl did what he could to block and Joey gave and gave until they got to the wall. Like Carl said: hard racing
@@stevenwalker9013 Amen to that. Joey would've done the same thing.
Wow. Im not a fan of Johnson what so ever. But I am so proud of him. Good job JJ!
I know, I'm not a fan of him but that's incredible
boooooooo!
sTK Mongoose ehhhhhhh I'm a big big Earnhardt fan I love Dale jr I didn't want him to tie Dale Sr but it's wicked
Ross Corlett DAAAAYYYUUUMMM
Mason McKinnon it sucks but when you think about it it's history that we might not see again. But it is what it is
the whole intro gave me chill
I just wanna know the song
And I got to see in person.
YEA SAME MAN, even in 2018
And 2019
Whoever was chopping onions please stop 😢.
My heart goes out to Carl, I wanted him to win it so bad.
Rowdy Smoke14 me too
I've never gotten goosebumps on radioactive before...jeez
phillipmccandlessbp especially when dale said "I wish my old man were here so he could shake your hand"
dude same!
I got goosebumps when Jimmie crosses the line.
What Junior said is so true. #3
damn right
You know it’s crazy to think in 4 years Jimme would go from competing for a 7th championship to retiring.
Not a fan of Jimmie, i don't hate him. But i sure do respect him. Great Job JJ
im a huge fan of Jimmie. whos your favorite driver Bryson White
Agree
agree on what
+Aaron Boston No, im sorry why do you like him
I was super happy when Jimmie won the championship. I hope he wins his 8th title in 2019.
I just rewatched this for the first time since 2016, and wow! Special memory as a life long 48 fan. Hated to see Carl retire after that race, class act for sure
Quote of the Race:
"Guys, it's been a hell of a ride for 18 years."
~Tony Stewart, before his final race as a Full-Time Sprint Cup Driver
When I heard that with the majestic music playing in the background, it hit me like a thorn in my side. About the same feeling when it was Jeff's last full time a year ago.
Come on Jimmie! Dale SR & Richard Petty are waiting on you Brother!!
TheBarrett107 that was the best comment ever
"I wish my old man could be here to shake your hand." I'm actually tearing up.
Just looking back at Jimmie's past and almost made me cry but 7:59 was the best part of this whole radioactive, "OH MY GOD THAT'S COLD!"
I teared up when Dale Jr. said " I wish my old man could be here to shake your hand. He'd think you are a badass.
Sure gonna miss Tony. Congrats on a great career!
Jimmie Johnson started out in Busch Series finishing last wrecking etc. being a Danica Patrick but Jeff Gordon saw something and brought him to the cup and here he is.
One of those videos you just gotta come back to sometimes. So many good memories
Great job putting these together all year long. Thanks for all your work. These are always the highlights of my work week, thank you and see you next year.
Carl is one of the few people alongside Mikey Waltrip, Dale, and Jr. who raced for fun only. He will be missed. He is Hall if Fame for sure.
Over 7 years later and this still hits in the feels and gives me chills everytime. November 20th 2016 as a Jimmie fan will forever be one of the greatest days of my life watching him win his 7th title. Couldn't believe it in the moment and its still so surreal 7 years later.
Best.... Race.... Ever. I'm s huge Johnson fan and I'm still in shock that he did it. Congrats again to the 48 guys for there 7th title. I've been the happiest man ever for the past 2 days. Glad to have 7 time as my favorite driver. Now let's get championship No. 8 next year.
DHLCupSeries me too bro
The first NASCAR race i watched was the 2006 Daytona 500. Jimmie Johnson won that race, and he has been my favorite driver since. So Awesome to see him win his 7th championship!
It's easy to do when half the field pulls over and lets you by.
Bo Hunt your IQ level must be amazing.
Well chris, it in fact is. However, I don't think that is what you meant. But my point stands, Jimmy Johnson started at the rear, and people were pulling out of the groove so he could get by. This is because they are told at the beginning of every Chase race for the non-Chase people to not do anything to affect the Chase competitors. He got caught cheating (again) is why he ended up at the rear of the field to start with. Pretty much every one of his championships should come with an asterisk. Without a cheater for a crew chief he has zero championships.
"I wish my old man could be here to shake your hand...." surreal, wow!
This Radioactive was very theatrical! Great job to the hard work the FOX Sports crew put in to create this. It didn't seem so rushed to squeeze some highlights into a
Every time I look back on this, I still get goosebumps. Jimmie Johnson will always be the undisputed goat in NASCAR.
Also, Carl Edwards just climbed up the scale for my fav driver.
Looking back at this, this maybe the best Radioactive ever!
Superb editing on this Radioactive, probably the best and most well put together one I've ever seen.
Every once in a while I come back to watch this when I have a bad day. Brings me to literal tears. This was the best day of my life…
Chad Knaus and Jimmie Johnson's last championship together
Not to mention, jimmie johnsons last championship with lowes
JJ jumping for joy at 7:03 is so adorable. ^_^
Watching this 5 years later and I still get chill. One of the best radioactives imo
2:43 pretty much every driver in Florida.
The music at the beginning of the video set the mood for what was to happen.
I have watched Race Hub since its inception and this is by far the best Radio Active ever! The music, the in-car sounds. I swear it gives me goosebumps and I've watched it like 20 times.
When Johnson realized he won that brought me to tears
God Carl is the man. I miss him on the track and on the scene period. Been a fan of him every since he took over that car for Jeff Burton. This sport needs more people like him.
Carl is such a GREAT sport
This is was incredibly put together. That intro was awesome.
That intro music was intense. If someone finds it send me a link.
Blurayhunter24 hey bud it's "A Silent Prayer" by Ruth Barrett
Trent Lohr thanks bro
that intro was amazing. Best Radio Active ever.
Pete Vernazza damn right bro
Blurayhunter24 it kinda made me think that something tragic happened
Thank you for providing these! Awesome insight!
the intro to this radioactive was awesome! It just gets better and better
The best day of my life 😭❤️
Anyone watching this in 2018, if so, this is when radioactives were actually good.
2019
Austin Johnson I watch this every year. This is the best radioactive.
I'm watching this in 2020, to this day I still get goosebumps everytime I watch the ending of this race or the radioactive
@@apaul20gaming85 yep
That was the best thing I've ever watched. Gave me goosebumps! I love Radioactive!
This will forever be the last greatest radioactive. I come back to this 20 times a year it was so great

whoop whoop
I've watched this so many times. That intro is the best one made so far and still nothing beats it.
I can't stop watching this, whoever made this did an AMAZING job!
NASCAR will never be as fun to watch and I will never be able to pull for another driver the way I did for Jimmie, my all time favorite driver and one of the best to ever do it
Best radioactive ever... Editing was stunning
This is incredible. Thank you, NASCAR and Fox Sports.
Was a Jimmie hater after he won #3 but actually started cheering for him again this year and I hope he gets #8. He and his team are the greatest this sport's ever seen. Period. Hopefully for 100 wins as well.
By far the best radioactive I've seen
aside of the championship race and all, I wish they did a little more with Tony's retirement
Cinematic masterpiece
This was probably the best race I've ever been to. So pumped I got to see Jimmie Johnson win his 7th championship this brought me joy.
I still have never forgotten this one
I love those shots of them rolling the cars out.
2:41 rap horn x5
YES IVE BEEN WAIT FOREVER
One of the best races I've ever seen.
This edition is by far the best Radioactive I have ever watched. That music in the beginning and during the final lap give me goosebumps every time. This video makes me very proud to be a long time Johnson fan.
#se7en
I know this was nearly 5 years ago, but god this video still gives me goosebumps every time. I love Jimmie Johnson so much and it sucks he’s gone now, but now I look forward to seeing how well he does in Indycar and IMSA. Love you Jimmie Johnson Mr. 7 time

@@0kaydonn259 seriously dude i feel like everything after the 2017 season went downwards idk why man
gives me chills. been a NASCAR fan since 2006 am I watched almost the entire race. This is incredible to watch especially because I am under 16...
The beginning of this video sends a chill down my spine...
I remember this race like it was yesterday, and how much it meant to my family. I came back to relive this experience, and it hits me just as hard now as it did 5 years ago. I'll miss him in NASCAR, he's been a legend in the sport, but hopefully he can keep up his momentum in IndyCar. Let's do it Jimmie 🏆
seriously dude i feel like everything after the 2017 season went downwards idk why man
This is the most legendary race I will ever see in my life.
I get crazy goosebumps when Dale Jr says "I wish my old man could be here to shake your hand he'd think you were a badass"
Just witnessed something special on Sunday. Unbelievable!
Back here 4 years later to remind myself of how much of a badass Jimmie Johnson is.
Amazing radioactive episode for an amazing race
Carl is such a cool and genuine dude. Doesn't get caught up in all the drama or make excuses like so many others. Just understands the sport and does his best.
Next year will be JJ’s final year. Just one more chance to get just one more championship to add to the other 7. I’m gonna miss that legend
Watching this 6 yrs later just reminds me how much of a good sport Carl was
I will never forget that moment ever see in my tire life
this will go down in history as the most memorable race/season in nascar history
awesome job!🏁
I've been a Johnson fan since I starting watching NASCAR
Easily hands down best radioactive ever
Coming to the finish is when the Goosebumps started
I grew up a carl edwards fan but this is one of the best radioactives of all time. And im a hendrick fan now so its fun to watch
Man. So many great moments at the end there: Carl being one of the only drivers (to my knowledge) to be so great, lovely and understanding to Joey Logano, all the moments involving Tony, and Jimmie coming all the way from the back to win the 7th.
The Jimmie Johnson moment being extra emotional for two reasons: 1) The sole theme and atmosphere set at the absolutely fantastic intro and 2) because, as of writing this, Chad never got Jimmie the 8th, since he's heading to the 24 team and could be the last one JJ gets (if his 2018 season is any indication). I couldn't help but be brought to tears-hard.
Watching this to remember the good times 😔
Damn, got chills hearing Jr talk to JJ there at the end.
Jimmie is from my hometown. Awesome to see him do so well. And can we also throw in what an amazing sportsman Carl Edwards is?
“We got to get eight”, makes me sad they won’t be with each other next year
How come every time truex jr catches on big fire
