i watched this live, i was nervous and had chills on the final lap. when joey logano peeked to the outside on the back stretch, i felt that i almost had a heart attack. i thought he was going to pass him. it was about time he won a race.
I’m not a NASCAR fan. Though I do know who this family is just because of their popularity. I can’t imagine the loss you all felt when you lost this man. Because even now, watching this...it brought a tear to my eyes. RIP Dale Sr.
Before the weekend started jr pointed over the fence called his shot and said im beating all of you Saturday brad k. Joey... Kyle busch all them i will beat you....... And he freakin did came through.... at the track that took his own fathers life...... HALL OF FAME DALE JR.... CLASS OF 2020 LETS GO!!!
Okay I'm so sick of every one saying it was a set up for jr to win, It was a tribute to his father and all of sr fans to see the number 3 one more time and it was just bouns jr won . stop the hating and be happy for him that he got to races his dads number and he raced just like his dad would of in that car.
seeing that number 3 in victory lane again gives me chills and no that was not a set up any one in that number three gets in it and they turn into the intimidator there will never be another dale sr but in that race jr drove just like his daddy
I guess all the people talking crap weren't even around 10 years ago, he dominated these plate races back then. Not too far fetched to believe he can pull one off again.
That car abd that #3 was magic for jr he should took his dads number and used it he could have still wrote his own legacy. Everytime he drobe his dads number he won wish he drobe that car.
For that whole race, I was so Nervious that when i seen the 3 fade to the back, I thought it was over but then when that 3 slowly started to come to life, That's when i had a feeling it wasn't Jr. Driving, That was Sr. Driving.
I always felt this was a bit scripted even back then. I should have bet on him to win though I’m not sure sports betting was legal back then. Everyone knew he would win in that car. The rest of the drivers didn’t even try to pass him.
This was awesome....it's amazing how well jr. runs when hendrick gives him quality equimpment. I'm sick and tired of hearing jimmie johnsons name and seeing his picture, he doesn't deserve any of those championships. They were givin to him not earned, earnhardt eraned everything he won.
NASCAR should retire four car numbers from.their Cup Series to honor the drivers who once raced cars with those numbers: Car 3 for Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Car 14 for A.J. Foyt. While Foyt only raced part-time in NASCAR (he ran full-time in Indycar), he did win several big NASCAR races. Car 24 in honor of Jeff Gordon. And car number 43, in honor of perhaps the greatest NASCAR racer of them all, Richard Petty.
You know that Dale Sr was slapping his knee and having a party in heaven when Dale Jr crossed the line in number 3

To me it looked more like Joey was blocking not trying to get a run on JR.
I had the same reaction watching it, I was soooo happy for jr
I saw the start and just caught the final lap of this race
@@kaylafuller8948 fucking everyone just laid down for Godhardt Jr. in 2001 and in this race because his daddy was too stupid and killed himself
I will be a fan of this dude till the day I die

this was an awesome day. I was so glad to see Jr. win in the 3 car. R.I.P. S.r.

his father should be proud
Even though it’s the bush series it’s still one of the best moment in NASCAR history
The moment he won the race was one of my favorite moments at a NASCAR race in person
Still get chills watching this in 2022

Dam right
That number 3 and its font, everytime it chokes me up.
How fitting it was to see the #3 car in victory lane, it was kinda like Sr. was pushing him to victory lane.
Long live the king
seeing that number 3 in victory lane again gives me chills and no that was not a set up any one in that number three gets in it and they turn into the intimidator there will never be another dale sr but in that race jr drove just like his daddy
I was surprised but Dale's a good restrictor plate driver so it isn't too surprising.
A fascinating victory to this day
I guess all the people talking crap weren't even around 10 years ago, he dominated these plate races back then. Not too far fetched to believe he can pull one off again.
I do remember where i was when this race was on, when Dale Jr won, i almost couldn't contain myself, I almost cried
I teared Up
And he’s back! For one race at martinsville.
@coolbox3 I'm glad he won with his daddy's number 3. One hell of a lot of respect to Dale Sr.
The legacy continues...
Still gives me chills

The stands were so empty? did i miss somethin?
Why were the stands empty?
Steve Park should have been won in the Cup race.
Dale Jr and Only Dale Jr should be the only one to drive the number 3 in Nascar. They still should retire that number.
Give it a fucking rest already!!
Where are all the fans? The seats look empty.
Go Junebug Go!!!!

i dont know man, i still have a theory dale sr hopped in those last 2 laps with him and rode along.
Legend has it that Jr moved over to the empty space next to him and let his father drive the 3 in thsoe final laps.
Was happy that all of the other drivers followed their orders from Nascar.
I knew there would be at least one jackass! How ya doing jackass?🖕🏻
Hendrick should just put the #3 on Jrs car and bring back Eury Jr, then maybe Jr will grow up and race hard again
2010
Bring Tony Eury Jr. back
I always felt this was a bit scripted even back then. I should have bet on him to win though I’m not sure sports betting was legal back then. Everyone knew he would win in that car. The rest of the drivers didn’t even try to pass him.
So manufacturer's and sponsors would be okay with that?
Im sure all 500 people in attendance loved it!!!

I understand the 3 the 14 and the 43. But 24 shouldn’t be retired.
