F1 is actually planning on banning tires heaters in 2025, but this is getting off topic.

@@caboose22320 if the wheels are turning forward, but the car is going backwards then the limiting factor is not power, it's grip. it doesn't get simpler than that my guy. this is why cars have these advanced torque vectoring systems; to prevent them from using more power than they have grip, which makes them slip and hugely impacts their power efficiency.

This F1 car would simply break if given more traction as you refer too. It has very little torque to handle more grip in this scenario and the clutch and drive components would simply break if more grip were to happen.
Traction matters even more than torque after a certain point, like, there's a video of a duramax beating a 6x4 semi truck in a tug of war. Not because of the torque, but because the chevy has softer rubber with weight on the truck bed, simply put, the semi had WAY more TORQUE, but couldn't use it as it's tyres just spun in place

Just a heads up, slicks get sticky on tar and create tremendous traction which is why drag racers use them on the dragstrip. If youve ever seen professinal drag races in person you can see the insane force their wheels create when on a flat hard surface
