- I have no idea why BA decided to put a black ring on their 757 radomes...
Welcome to my fleet histories series. In it I review year-by-year aircraft fleets of an airline.
In this video I go through the history of British Airways' Boeing 757 fleet, from 1983 until its retirement in 2010.

1987, Back of 757 is British airways L'1011
And?
Lovely tribute to my favourite plane. I flew on her as the BA Shuttle between GLA and LHR many times. Very sad to see her go.

27 years, I flew 160 sectors on those machines. Perfect safety record at BA.
BA only had one fatal accident which was in 1976 after a BA Trident collided with an Inex-Adria DC9
@@driverthree642 and another one when a hawker siddely trident crashed meters away from the middle of a town
@@dutchboi0013 was under British European Airways at the time . Which had no affiliation with British Airways
They were later emerged to DHL.
yes if you search up some ba 757 registrations you can see they are in service with DHL
@@buddee20, yap
Some are with FedEx
Loved the Landor in my youth. Timeless. The new (ish) present livery is fantastic, aged well.
i’ve never seen a british airways 757 with the 2005 livery
I think it would be nice for you to make Cyprus airways a320 history
Do either Delta's 727 fleet history or Delta's MD88 fleet history either or would be nice to see
My favourite aircraft of the BA fleet to be on and work on ❤️
same
Replaces by Airbus A321-200
Yep.
Same with just about every 757. The plane is simply too big... wide body design with a narrow body cabin.
actually the Full end of the 757 for BA was in 2018
I physically saw one depart in 2018. The BA 757's were retired in 2018
most likely had been stored and not repainted yet
The problem with world tails was that some looked ok but some looked very ugly
While I feel that you should have at least mentioned BA OpenSkies’ 757s, still a great video!
oh yes openskies
Do a 747-100 pan am history

1:56 there is another image that is identical but in the other image there are more clouds
What image is it?
@@Ibirdball I think its the same image because it was taken on november 4th 2000
@@buddee20 Does it have the same registration and tail colourscheme?
@@Ibirdball yes here is link www.jetphotos.com/photo/8054672
@@buddee20 They are similar but not the same. The one in the video is at a slightly different angle and a bit brighter, plus there are less clouds in the background.
Hey, at least open skies still operate them
Yep :)
757 in old livery looks odd (not the landor livery)
Do Aloha Airlines 737 700 History
Do emirates A330
In wow ba 757
Ibirdball How did you get your channel art
It is a photo of a KLM E175 that I took taking off from Norwich Airport.
But how did you put the subtitles
0:45 Was that a Loganair Fokker?
Yes, an F27 at Manchester.
Never knew Loganair had my favourite type of plane.
The 'To Fly To Serve' scheme looked classy, timeless and worthy of the nation's carrier. Can't understood why BA reverted to cheap and tacky. A retrograde step.
+kenneth rodmell Yes, the Landor scheme looked very classy - especially on Concorde. When they changed to the World Tails livery it went to one of the worst airine liveries, and even now it doesn't look too goodl
@@Ibirdball the problem with world tails
was that some looked ok but some looked very ugly
@@Ibirdball one of the only things I agree with thatcher on along with the Falklands is the world tails scheme it’s was vile , British Airways should be flying the British flag
BA 767 {now they are retired}
Already done it - ruclips.net/video/Sp32j70x15s/видео.html
Thanks for the video, but the music is terrible.
in my opinion its not bad at some times it sync with the video
Tui 767
Please bea comet history
Etienne Hartgers Why?
@@boeingcat5077 they used it just for 8 years in all I think.
I don’t know. The Landor livery always seemed like low class attempting to speak RP.
The world tails seemed like high class trying to speak Cockney.
Chatham Historic Dockyard gets its right... Londoners speaking Estuary, Northerners speaking Northern, etc. Nothing to hide, not pretending. It’s not Buckingham Palace nor has it gone native.. it’s just an airline from Great Britain.
