Welcome to my fleet histories series. In it I review year-by-year aircraft fleets of an airline.
In this video I go through the history of Northwest Orients' (later Northwest Airlines') Boeing 757 history from 1985 until NWA merged with Delta in 2010.

The code for this airline was NWA and that is similar to the group NWA so I created this comment.
I have to say I never cared about them at first, but it is starting to grow on me :).

They now fly for Delta... Most of them.
Many have been scrapped. A lot of NWA 757s never actually went to Delta, and Delta are gradually retiring their inherited fleet.
delta still has a massive fleet of 757s. I fly on them several times a year.

I never really had a great experience with northwest, their merger with a Delta seems to be positive
northworst.it was not a good airline; not bad but not good. delta has been really good these last few years.
Finnair DC-10 or DC-8 next?
I'll try the DC-10, as it will probably be easier to find pictures for. I'm also doing the Finnair MD-11 at some point as well :).

I hate the Northwest Orient livery so much! Its so ugly.
the bowling shoe and the other one looked MUCH better
I think Bowling Shoe actually looked like airline colours but I don't like it. I much prefer their all-silver final livery.
