You did the right thing by reporting it - too bad the DEP didn't want to help! But you also showed Josh how to handle finding something that isn't yours. Congrats on getting it running, and don't forget the wheel bearings will need grease along with lubing up the cables - enjoy!
Pretty nice bike looks like a super Moto probably stolen or placed there for views and likes and comments 😂😂 every time I watch a restoration video somebody in the comments says it was staged and put there by the person doing the video
I am absolutely blown away.I actually wanted to see you. Please tighten the chain.Clean the plastics I want to see what the thing looks like.Well , cleaned up and you and were josh writing the hell out of it
I have one of those, had it for over 15 years. It always starts even after sitting 5 years with old gas. Fun little things for a little shred every now and then.
I had a miraculous revival of my own recently. I do a lot of small engine stuff, and the project queue got a little too long, as they tend to do. I had a riding mower that sat outdoors with no carb, engine cover, or spark plug in it for five years. Miraculously, it wasn't locked up, and it came back to life pretty quickly, and ran great. I built this one from the ground up out of spare parts, so I can't wait to see it fully functional again.
@ The electronics of my ‘60’s Vespas wil start to rust when they hear the first drops of autumn rain. Even if they are in a completely dry shed. 😂 Good to see that in 40 years of motor electronics, progress was achieved!
@@nvdb-77 haha, well it's outside now leaning against one of my trucks. I brought it inside the garage and my 12 year old son says " why is that thing inside ? it was on the bottom of a lake "
When I was a kid in the early 90’s I found a 70 cc Honda 3 wheeler in a river. My father helped me get it running. Redid carbs , fuel tank and spark plug and she ram great.
Awesome! Glad you got it running. You've given the little bike a second chance. Great shirt! Looking forward to Buses in the Stream. My advice is to make a list of everything you think you're going to need and make sure you pack it. Check the weather report. And, by all means, be careful.
Oh man unexpected acceleration as a youngster, you didn’t forget that 😁 Dayuuuum there it is!!!! Nice!!!!! Ewwwww watching it drain 😳 I see Kroil there, I never tried it yet Josh gave two 👍🏻👍🏻 The lake mini 110 lives on!!!
Well done Jason just brilliant Mustie 1 would be proud of you I am and I am looking forward to the next installment of the buses stay safe best regards Andy Allen.
Thank you Andy , I was digging for 2 days over the weekend . Update vids should be Tuesday and Saturday. Probably breaking it up onto 2 parts as it was like 3 hours of footage
I had my doubts that it would run. Not in your abilities to work on it, you are well into bikes but we didn't know how long the thing had been in the lake. It should be normal coloured oil soon and the 'milk' will be no more! I think Musti 1 would be happy with your work Jason. I always give you two thumbs up so this time Josh gave his Dad two thumbs up as well. Take care Jason, Jen and Josh. 👍👍
Another great video! Looking forward to seeing how the busses are going. It’s still hard to believe that someone would leave such good cars out there to just rot away. I’m glad you are just trying to save some of them before they’re completely gone. Thanks for the great videos. Have a great weekend!
What a load of bull. You amaze me with your skills all electrical system, bearings, cables ,carb, brakes etc.etc. remained perfect. You really are a good showman sir 😂😂😂😂😂
You amaze me with your lack of viewership before you open your uneducated mouth for your opinion . The slide was stuck , there’s 5 rusty lutes on the tarp , a dead crawfish when I take the take off that I didn’t notice ( it’s on film ) and it’s covered in RUST ! Not even thing online is fake bs
Dear 5150mxVW 👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! I definitely didn't expect it to run! And the engine even seems to run really well! Congratulations 🎉. With lots of elbow grease and especially penetrating oil this interesting motorbike might come back to life completely. Looks just like the right ride height for your son. Saving this vehicle out of the muddy water somehow convinced me that you will be able to get the two old VW busses out of their muddy graves. As always: Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all of you.
Some good old fashioned outdoor cooking sir! Gearhead stew? You're 10 times richer than my big brother Bob! He's got a haircut! He's got a real job! 😁 😁 Good old George. One of the best!
Cannot believe that thing had spark it just wanted to live! Congrats on getting it running, lets get it riding again! I hope you are able to find original owner or they see this and reach out, I know how much it sucks to have a bike stolen.
I had one of those china bikes when i was young me and a buddy beat them for years, mountain trips and all, those bikes is tuff. And the thing with these on mountain trips, if if is to steep or wet just carry the bike, super fun bike to play around with for 600$
Thats definitely not an original carb it looks like a nibbi carb(upgrade)those are excellent carbs with the right jetting and tuning. It just goes to show how indestructible those old honda designed engines are. Great content as always.
I put plastic stuff in my ultrasonic all the time. I even throw plastic carbs in mine. The heating element is out though, so the water doesn't get any hotter once I put it in there.
Excellent Video Jason :) I hope becarefull on bike or anything planned fix from river and would use 60% Vinager & 40 % hot water to disaffection them wash at work or home to clean up ! Even change fluids like gas tank , engine oil and transmission help flush bad grim or anything! Even carb too thru pet cock in fuel tanks and that my suggestion!
Honestly, I feel like it could've been worse. Pretty interesting video! And it's just over the legal limit to not have to toss it back into the river! Also, your shirt is very appropriate 😂
I had to deal with water getting in a crankcase once, I ran 3 loads of the cheapest Rotella (T3?) I could get through it. Turned out ok. I later read that Dexron ATF is typically what's used as a flush, as it absorbs water and is clutch safe.
That thing not only runs, but sounds mint. Great work.

That is unbelievable, that the electronics survived a couple of months under water! And the cylinder is not completely rusted! :)
i was pretty shocked myself

That's awesome that you were able to get out running! Interesting that no-one wants to check and see if it is stolen. Good job!
She’s a soggy runner👏👏👍🎉
Good on you, my man! You (and I) are a dying breed that brings things back from the gaping jaws of death! It's not about money at all. 😅
Thank you Mikey
The bike wanted to live, nice work saving it and bringing it back to life, do not think Mustie could have done a better job on this one.
Congratulations on another successful recovery!🎉

thank you GenDrive , much appreciated
Unbelievable! It's alive! Now, "Two Buses In A Stream" sounds like a song title. Maybe to the tune of Moonlight In Vermont?
I was pretty shocked myself….. heading back from New Hampshire now after two days of digging very very happy :))
That's good news! Glad you had a chance to get something(s) positive out of that mud hole.
Did the Crawdad live? DID IT LIVE????????? Nice video, and thank you for sharing!
That Crawdad went on the Barbeque
This was cooler than Mustie1's video today!😂 that was awesome! I love it!👍😎
Use a torch tip cleaner on the jets. It works amazing.
Awesome! Greetings from Sweden! 💪😀
The lake pit bike monster is alive.. great job😂

That's about a 200$ carb, Nibbi racing carb... worth more than the bike at this point... nice find 😂 good job 😅
cool , pls more from the restoring, reincarnation!
Now you have to finish the resurrection: make it ride-able.
Wow cant believe it ran thats great
Thank you Rich
Thanks for saving a GPX moto and videoing it.

Well it runs. I wonder how it will look after a good power wash ?
It's definitely newer than I thought it was. I was way off.

Race cut half waffle grips are the best IMO. Cool like pit bike find. Can't believe it ran that easily.

No gasket sealer on intake and air fuel ratio screw on carb is a must when cleaning but great job on getting it going God Bless…Virgil
