- I have so many sketchbooks - some finished, some unfinished and some brand new. Let's do a quick tour and I'll tell you some of my favorites.

Joining the club I see; that's an impressive sketchbook collection. It's fun (and scary) to pull them all out and see just how big one's collection really is! Have fun filling 'em! Also, sketchpads are definitely in their own separate category....I didn't show mine either, lol!😂
I have only 6 current sketchbooks and 3 finished. I do have maybe 5 new ones still in package. And I have maybe 6 or so pads that I use like sketchbooks. I prefere working in one at the time, all my sketchbooks have kinda specific purposes. One is for plain air, one for head studies, one for experimenting and doodling, one for concepts and thumbnails, one for sketching in waiting rooms, one is for larger plain air (A4). Currently I enjoy Art creation sketchbooks as my low pressure sketchbooks, they work for watercolor surprisingly well. And I love Paul Rubens sketchbooks. I am not keen on the hp paper, but Paul Rubens I like.

I have 11 sketchbooks, nine of which haven't been opened yet, so I'm way behind as far as I'm concerned. Ugh.❤

This all puts me in mind of my book reading target that isn’t happening and I have to remind myself to have fun (with my measly 4 unfinished sketchbooks).
Riley's sketch's are so cute. I would like to get together with you and the girls for some painting or arts and crafts whenever I get the chance to come down.

I love seeing all your sketchbooks! I think I have about 9 sketchbooks if we are not counting pads of paper. I have lots more of those too.
Oh wow, only 9 is great! Maybe one day I'll get down to only 9 unfinished ones, at least.
Enjoying your video. Still doing daily art. Lost track of the day number but if I don't miss a day, on the 23rd of the month, it will be four years.

I just finished catalouging my sketchbooks as part of the no buy inventory (can you tell I'm procrastinating?) I have 7 active sketchbooks (I've been on a mission to use up sketchbooks since mid 2021 I think) and 30 untouched sketchbooks. and countless paperpads. I'm only counting books where the art can stay permanently as sketchbooks in my tally, so no gluebound paper pads or blocks.
This really is giving me strength to maintain my no-buy. I just don't make enough art to use these up before sizing starts failing.

What a collection! Im gonna watch this video in parts 😊The Baohong academy watercolorpaper is such a good watercolorpaper! Its lets paint flow, granulate and you can sketch on it. Their professional line I don’t like the texture so the academy paper really took me by surprise! I like the Hahnemuhle watercolor 100% cotton sketchbook for portraits, but the paper is really prone to hard edges and backwash! EDIT: I don’t know how many sketchbooks I have and don’t wanna know😜
I have about 70, but 10 I' m still working on or are used for travelling. Notebooks on the other hands... I love the completed artwork from last Friday. Have a great week, Miranda.

I have a lot ❤ I think it is a good thing! It means we have intentions of filling them! Mine are spread between 2 locations so I’m not going to even try to guess how many 😜

Wow, wow, wow. I loved to see all of those sketchbooks on a table. Well done in fitting them in😅 I would love to see a video where you go through your artwork of the past and how your style and preferences are evolved through time.
Yess I'm loving these sketchbook sharing videos 🥰 I get super motivated to use mine everytime I watch one 😂 I've been on a journey to finish my unfinished sketchbooks so the motivation is very much needed.

This is so great! I am amazed you have one from 1990! That is incredible! Lol I want to do this too lol... I'm scared to think of how many sketchbooks I have... but I find it oddly comforting how many everyone else has lol... it isn't only me :P xx

Hi Miranda, Yuck, you got snow! Shoot! That means winter is coming. I am ready for spring 😂. As if. Well, I don't have as many sketchbooks as you do. But, you teach art, so it is natural for you to have a lot of sketchbooks. The dogs are cute too, but very fast.
This was so cool to watch. I love that all you guys that I watch are starting to do this. I think Linda was probably the first one to do this. She did this almost a year ago. It’s so much fun seeing what people use what they do and don’t like and it makes me feel a lot better because I have about 10+ sketchbooks for mixed media and the same again for Watercolor on the go but I’m not in the 70 range. I’d have to include my pads as well. However, RUclips is not my job and I am not working. as a teacher, so you need to give yourself a little bit of an allowance for that, and I don’t have children of my own.
I heave a problem🙀! Just watercolor sketchbooks, I have 19 complete, 20 in progress, 12 new & unused. Mixed media, drawing, sketching, marker & misc, I have 27 mostly slightly used, none complete.

Loved this Miranda! I tend to use books, pads and blocks. Is that weird? I often prefer drawing ìn pads to sketchbooks. Maybe i am just weird! I've not seen your vids for a while. I've missed you! x Nell.
Hi, Nell! It's nice to see you again, too. It's not weird at all - I think that's why I have so many unfinished sketchbooks as well. Because I tend to pull out my pads or blocks or sheets to paint on when I'm really wanting to do a more serious painting.

How are your do fearless? I love making art but after a few days of drawing I always get scared again of messing up and can’t get myself to keep drawing 😕
Good question. I think it's usually just because I hear how everyone is scared to use their sketchbooks and scared to start drawing that I just say "I'm not going to be like that." I want to get better and the only way to get better is to do it often. Happy Drawing!
I think the block is not a sketchbook because if you use it as intended and remove the pages from the block it won't be a book when you're done with it!
