So much fun! Finding it really hard not to give it a try. But the adorable little furry creatures make it impossible to do anything creative.

You created some incredible art this year. But poor hippie heart fell in love with the first mushroom. I visualize as wallpaper in my craft/heathen kitten room. It would make me so happy. My other favorite was of course the one you didn't like but thought was pretty at the same. The colors ,textures, and grittiness really appealed to me. I would be so proud to be able to paint like that.

Comment 3 years later: remember the paints may behave differently diluted vs masstone. They're sually affected diluted (tints) while masstone stands up unaffected.

Wow you got so much done, and so many wonderful paintings! 2024 was a bit of a disaster for me and I didn't get anywhere near as much art done as I normally would. I'm hoping to get back on track and have a better time with it all this year. I hope you've had a happy new year, and here's to more creativity in 2025!

Both pictures were so much fun! I'm really into colouring with markers at the moment, so I particularly enjoyed the second picture. I like that you added stripy wallpaper too! 😄

loved taking this "walk" thru 2024 with you. One comment you made I'd like to dispute. People don't take beginning watercolor class more than once... I once took drawing 1A 3xs because we loved the instructor and our fellow classmates and because she didn't repeat the same lessons. I was thinking of registering in your beginning watercolor class again because I have forgotten much. Instead Ill see you in your advanced class... I'm registered! Looking forward to it!

Hi Miranda, I remember when you first drew the cats for inktober. I am so glad your coloring books finally came to fruition. I would probably buy anything you sold as long as it is under a hundred dollars and only because you are one of my favorite artists. So if you want to make a larger coloring book with higher quality paper, I will buy one. But of course it only works if enough other people commit to buying one too. I love your two pictures you colored. While you were coloring and talking I was making swatches for my paints. I am trying to get organized. Lol, as if that is a thing.😂 At least for me.

I would love to see you compare the academic brands vs their artistic or professional brands. Like Sennelier, Schmincke, and Windsor and Newton.

Hullo Miranda, I had to chuckle at your comment about no one takes a beginner class twice! I taught a beginner course at the local senior center for several years. And I had one little old lady who signed up for everyone every single class. I did point out that there was more advanced classes, but she said she didn’t like those teachers they were mean to her, She liked coming back to mine. Eventually, I started teaching an intermediate class, she joined us there! Thank you for posting. I am enjoying all of your art, especially the ones we don’t see in videos. This is very fun thank you. Please take care and enjoy your trip!

One of the most beautiful burnt oranges in watercolor that I've ever seen is Daniel Smith Aussie Red Gold. It's not red or gold...it's just a vivid burnt-ish orange that I think, outshines any of the quinacridone gold's out there. I saw someone gushing over it on a YT vid one time so I had to have it and was not disappointed.

I tend to use Cat's tongue for a lot of my painting that requires any amount of detail. My current fave is the Silver Silk 88 synthetic brushes and mine is in size 6. It's my workhorse brush. I also love mops of all sizes as I love to paint clouds ☁️ and their fluffy roundness makes it easy to get that soft puffiness.

Hey Miranda...I just ordered your Kitty Coloring Book (in the card stock.) I used to color a lot, but then wanted to develop my own fine art...but coloring is the thing that got me back into doing my own art after taking art in high school and community college & only doing a little bit over the years. It also improved my skills with color mixing, blending/layering, trying out color combinations, shading & highlighting. And then, of course, we all know how great it is just for relaxing and fun. So your coloring pages are so adorable and I'm looking forward to receiving it and I will share mine with, for sure. 👍

You have some pretty amazing paints. And paper. I have the fuumui (spelling) brushes. I love them. Right now I am making paint swatches for some of my paints.

Hullo Miranda, I am so glad I purchased your coloring book! My wife loves her present, I will say she was just a little sad when there were images on both sides, she said "How do I choose which ones to frame??" I said maybe they are better for practice? She was not happy with my answer. I said we can always transfer a favorite to another piece of paper. Maybe you can sell a choice of books with one image per sheet? I would be happy to pay for fewer images or pay for more sheets per book. You would charge more for the larger books, Single image a page books? I know it is so hard to keep customers happy we/they all want something different! Creating pay per order products is fine when you have plenty of time to do them. I remember times when I felt I was just a store keeper and no longer an Artist! I did not last long. I hope you decide to keep your creating Art in the forefront of your Art journey and selling as a bonus. Selling finished artworks is so very different from selling merchandise based on your artworks! I thing this is why sites like Red Bubble and similar online stores are flourishing! I have stopped buying any paper but cotton paper for painting my watercolors. I do have quite a collection of papers that I use for mixed media and soft pastels. Turning printmaking papers into pastel ready surfaces is a chore but I have saved quite a bit just by using my previously purchased papers and adding a grit to the different papers to make pastels stick! Oh My, I have run on. I hope your well and have yourself a Happy New Years too!

Hi Miranda, I am going to try and get back to watching you and Becky. I hope to eventually watch the videos i have missed. Breaking a rule on occasion for excellent sketchbooks is worth it. I hope you have gotten over your cold. Take care.
