You were the first body builder that caught my attention when I started my fitness journey. I have been a huge fan of you and your character from the moment I discovered you. Rob Bailey is a good man , he gave the best piece of advice anyone could give, we all need to take a page out of his book and utilize it against the hate and negativity that’s thrusted upon us, I sure will , and also I forgot to mention to you Dana , you looked amazing and incredible the minute you hit the scene , there was no failure in you ,we all seen it in your eyes, I bet Rob seen it the second he laid his eyes on you, the individuals that criticized you , they are the ones that feared you, way to stick it back up there asses

The first time I saw you was in an ad for mhp in muscle and fitness and I cut it your photo and put it on my vision board and I began training in 2012. I did my first competition in 2013(I placed near the bottom of the pack) I've been up and down with my weight, but I always watch you and Rob and I'm currently back in training still going for it. I have a long way to go until I'm where I want to be , but I can always get motivated and find wisdom through your videos. Rob is the sugar,Honey, iced, tea with advice. Keep up the hard work you're making a difference

      What Robsgym said!
Thanks Dana for sharing this with us and thanks for showing us how you train stuff in the gym. Cause of your videos I don't hurt myself anymore since I now have a realistic workload in the gym. It's something little but Dana it helps, not being injured all the time means I can train more. I'm down OVER 400 POUNDS from 650+ to a crossfit and powerlifting monster that can do 250meter sprints in between sets now weighing 235-240lbs.
You and Rob are my biggest inspiration.
I have mental illnesses and know how the suck can fuck us from time to time but we stick to our roots and keep pushing.
      Suck it up, your loved.

Do it for you, do it for your wonderful, supportive man and the rest of the world can go hang. You have masses of support so just ignore the rest. I let myself give it away for others and I’ve never found a way to prioritize myself since and I am sad every day because of it. When I first saw you I was amazed and in awe. I started following you because of your obvious skill and dedication and I couldn’t imagine a better physique to serve as my inspiration. But I soon realized you’re nature and personality was equally beautiful. This story is touching and I’m grateful you share yourself with others. The fact that you can remain so positive in the face of the negativity others try to impress on you is a testament to your strength. You still put yourself out there even if it isn't always comfortable, and you never gave up and chose "Easy". There is a whole community that is so proud of you and sees what Rob sees, and the people who don't see it never will because they don't get it. We're glad you never gave up.

I would 100% say you were a part of the movement that inspired women to be stronger and be confident with it! I started training to stay in shape for the Marines and I became muscular but I was afraid of being "too much" and limited myself as I was insecure. Then one day I was scrolling IG and I saw a video of Dana for the 2014 Olympia prep and it was chest day. I saw someone who was confident in being strong! Your physique is amazing and I thought if you can do it, I could too! That changed my whole perspective! Not just in Bodybuilding but with a lot of things in life. She is my absolute fave! When I first started thinking about bodybuilding and competing, she was one of the first people to pop up in my research and she continues to be my motivation. Her realness exudes throughout all of her content and that is honestly what makes me look up to her aside from her aesthetics. This video made me cry because it was like hearing myself talk. The self hate I had (and sometimes still do) for my body is so relatable but I'm working hard on not being so self critical.

You cried, I cried, we all were crying. The industry is ruff and most people don't see the behind the scenes, the emotional toll asside from the physical toll. Watching this and see your honest was beautiful. The first time I came across you, DLB!!! I feel in love with your personality, then I was like damn look at those arm. I was like "yeah, this is a person I can support." You make the difference for so many women and girls to be okay with wanting to take our bodies to the next level. However that my look. So thank you keep being you.

Most of my life, i have seen the words can't and never thrown at me; by family and people i thought were my friends. This has handicapped me in the worst way, to where i was terrified to pursue anything. In some cases, i still am. You are, my hero Dana. Your positivity, honesty, and your humanity has helped me more than i can put into words. You helped me to love myself. Thank you ❤

Seeing you sparked a shift in my perspective of myself. I was always trying to be skinny and small, uncomfortable with my chest (or lack thereof). Here you are powerful, kind, and I saw you as confident in yourself despite what most deem attractive, and that’s not only attractive but admirable.

Superpower…you definitely have some superpowers, Dana. You’re one of the influencers who converted my little boy with epilepsy and a learning disability into the college grad that he’s about to become and a total gym rat for many years now. A lot of his confidence and determination came from watching and learning from you and others like you. Thanks for your example and opening your life and influence up on social media.

I cried watching you cry... 😢
I could really connect with the pain I've always felt ever since I developed an ED when I was 14-15,a bullied child with no friends... I wasted many years hating my body - I still do at 40 years old, but I'm working on getting back in the shape I was in 2014, wich is around the time I discovered you and really made a change in my training. But life happens in the years to follow, not gonna make this too long by writing about it. I've always liked your personality, the sense of humor, your muscles, seing how strong you are is truly inspiring ❤
Thank you for sharing this vulnerable video ❤️
