- In this video I create a mini Fabric Book and slow stitch on the pages. I am not really someone who sews, so much of this was very new to me. This is part of a collaboration with @texturejunkies8780 and @TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia The theme for this collaboration was 'Fabric' as set by me. I'll link the videos from both Cheran and Peg (when available). Meantime you are welcome to join in and use the hashtag #tagasister or tag any of us on social media

Dear Kylie- Love the textures of the fabrics you chose to use and the stitching as mark making. No worries on the fiddily bits…it reminds me of my fly casting…Patience and perseverance! Until next time! 💖🙏🪡
Thank you Terena 💗
I love this sweet little journal! What a great way to relax and enjoy creating! Wishing you well, Kylie 🌷
Thanks you so much! 😊
Wonderful use of simple materials. I love that you used the loose fibers and scraps to decorate pages. ❤
Fabulous little book and nice stitching, the bird song is lovely🥰
Thank you so much 😊
This is fabulous! Love it and so relaxing to create and watch! Thank you so much for sharing and the inspiration, take care x
Such a cute little rustic book 🪡🫶🪡
Thank you 😊
Love it! Beautiful and so relaxing! Such a cleverly artistic idea!! Thanks!!
This project is just delightful! I love little books, and your ideas for each page are fantastic! Sewing like that on burlap is very difficult; I am very encouraged! TFS. Loved the background music, too! 🙏🥰
Thank you so much Evelyn - not sure the burlap was the best choice but I got there 😄
Adorable!
Kylie I absolutely love your mini slow stitch journal. So full of texture I love your rustic colour palette it seems to go so well with the birdsong. 🩵
Thank you so much Janet 💗
Hello from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦 ❤❤
Your little rows of stitching remind me of sashiko... the Japanese art of repairing fabric with geometrical designs to strengthen it. This wee journal is delightful Kylie! xx
Thank you - I would certainly like to try and do more stitching including sashiko- so many things I want to do and not enough time! Xo
I love this so much!
Oh I love this little journal!! The stitching looks fabulous to me. I must give this a try. Thank you Kylie!!
Thank you Rose - it’s very relaxing to do … even though I did jab myself a couple of times! 😄
What a fun project and it was enjoyable to watch. 3 items and 1 day is really impressive too. Thank you for the challenge and I better get to planning ❤
Thanks so much Cheran - looking forward to seeing your project 😊
Great little stitched journal. hugs
love this Kylie - so pretty - very inspiring - thank you and be well xx
Thank you so much Janet - sending love and hugs to you 💗
How cute is that little journal!! Thanks for sharing Kylie!! Have a nice week! xx
Thanks so much Mona 😊
I am not sure, but it looks like your thread is twisted. You can hold the book up and let the needle and thread untwist. It will help with the knotting. I really like how you slow stitched this together. It really looks great.💜⛟💜⛟💜
Try pulling your thread over a candle if you want it to pass through this sort of fabric more easily
Yes of course Kath - why didn’t I think of that! I use wax (or waxed thread) when I am making journals so it makes sense with fabric as well. Thanks for taking the time to keep me right 💗
