- I am looking over fruit platters and cheese, fruit platters for our next tutorial.
I bought the grids from Staples, the rounded corner grids, and the regular grids. Some people find them at kmart.
The fabric was Fleece I bought from Joann's. I got lucky, because They had a 50% off Fleece sale. Хобби
Aww! They're both gorgeous, and it looks like you've put a lot of love and effort into making them such a lovely, fun home! Lucky little piggies :)
+MissTay26 Thank you so much! :)
Heather
That is the most amazing Guinea pig cage I have ever seen!! Awesome job on it!!! Love the colors and how much room they have to run around and play...and the fact that you don't have to use the chips or cage filler is cool too!! Thank you for sharing, I bet your little piggies love it!! Living the luxurious life...lol
Thank you so much
please do a video on how u did these ramps I absolutely love it I have five piggys this would save so much space on the inside of their cage
I hope you were able to build the cage you like. Sorry about the delay
Fantastic! Lucky piggies, I have 3 boars. One I purchased 3 was ago. I love watching them because they are so amusing at times . Please let us piggie lovers have an update now and again xx xx
+Susan Grimshaw Thank you so much! I didn't think I would like guinea pigs.. I never had the urge to own one at all. They are a lot of work, but when I walk in the room, and they squeak in excitement to see me, it just melts my heart. Their antics make me smile. They are in my bed room for now, and if I get up, in the middle of the night, or shift postitions in bed, they run to the top of the cages to see what I am doing.
awe, Spike all cuddled up in his couch, so cute 💖
+Cynthia Snider Thanks :) They do like their couches :)
This cage is really creative with the double ramps. The fleece patterns and designs work so well with the cage. Nicely done.
Ya, it is but in the middle it isn't as steady. I believe that is why her top floor isnt as big as the bottom cage.
Thank you so much
This is great!! I love it when people do amazing things for their animals and give them lots of room and space!! Awesome! Just awesome!
+Soferia Thank you so much!

Yes if you have the smore s I will want that but what will it cost and will it come in a bracket? I can't get over that cage!
And when I'm on patreon yes I will ask for the mint charm bracelet!!! That was me he he!!
what a cute idea, how ingenious are you!!
+Rhonda Magee Thank you :) They are much happier with the fleece than shavings, and their sneezing has almost completely stopped.

+Reborn N Sili Land It is a lot of work. They are pretty sweet though. Whenever I walk in the room, they greet me with little happy chirps.

Hi
Aww! they are so cute! your guinea pigs must love that cage! so cool! I have 2 girl guinea pigs :D
+Sily Izzy I had to completely redo their whole cage, because now that Smudge is getting bigger, he started picking on Spike :(
I will show that cage too.
Can you make a video on how you did the bumpers I always wanted those in my cage!
I sewed it like a really big tube, and just left the bottom open to slide over the chloroplast sides.
Sweet Cage Indeed !!!
Thank you

Thank you
Miss you on RUclips please come back soon we need you!
Thank you so much
Aaw I love this
Thank you so much
What an amazing home, looks very comfy. Have you tried one of those plastic corner dish things for them to do the toilet in? I bought a small glass lasagne dish for my hamster with chinchilla sand in it, just cleaned this out daily and it kept the cage cleaner.
+nikki k I have been thinking about it a lot lately. I noticed they pee most on their kitchen mat, so I made a few extra of those, but I like the idea of a litter pan.
Really a nice. How is the fleece staying in place over the coraplast up over the sides?
They were very thick. But if one side is left open you can slide the chloroplast in
sooooo cute my boo got me one for valentines day. his name in Quiznos. lol
+Tyinisha Hasty That is cute :)
+Heather Wells where do I find one of those habits
Can you show us how to make the couch that Spiker is in??? I would love a tutorial!
+Conny Tex I actually looked at a few tutorials on youtube ;) This is the main one I watched I believe. ruclips.net/video/25g_iOSsNmw/видео.html
how many grids did u use on ur c&c because it looks amazing and I have 7 guinea pigs and want to make another cage for them
I think there are 69 square ones in the and two rounded corners ones
I have seen your cage on Google so so many times when searching for ramp ideas and I have looked for a video so many time never found it n now I found u please show me lol
I am sorry I no longer have piggies. I hope you were able to find a good ramp
I know that you said you wont be showing them often on your channel. I was wondering if you could do a cage clean out video. I am also curious what are you using as support for the upper level? Or do you not need any since its only one grid around? I have 3 c&c cages I've made. Two of them are 3X5 grids, and then a 2X5. I would like to add a second level to one of them but its already hard to clean as is. Any advice would be appreciated.
That one was very sturdy. I would use zip ties pretty tight. If they tried to sag at all I would put one in as a brace upright, and zip tie that in so it can’t tip
Do u have a video showing how u built the cage for the piggies?
I just used a ton of zip ties lol.
WOAH! where did you get those ramps or how did you make them
I used the same grids as I did to make the walls I just bent them
Hi Heather, wow! These are some lucky guinea pigs. They life in a big puffy castle.are t you afraid it might get to warm in there for them in the summer? Do your pigs mind being held or are they skittish? I'm just curious because I know how kids like to be able to hold animals.
So what is the next polymer clay items you have planned? Are going to do something Easter themed? I discovered a new product that might work really well with polymer clay. I'm going to do some testing and I'll let you know how it goes and what it is. I haven't seen anyone else use it for clay so we shall see what happens. I hope all is well with you and your family. Please keep in touch. Take care, Dee😊👍
+DeeEll86442 Thank you so much! My room gets pretty hot in Summer, I will need to get a fan, and make sure I have hidey holes that aren't holding fleece over them.
I hope to do more tutorials soon. My son has been home all week with pneumonia :(
I would love to hear an update on your research :)
How did you bend the grids for the ramps? Ive tried to bend them before and they ended up breaking at the joints
+Churtch Pidgeon I should do a video. I place I board of wood over it, where I want to bend it, stand on the board, and then pull on the exposed area. It bends, rather than break if the welded edge isn't on the side that is bending. I bent 7 in all, I broke two, bent five successfully. The two that broke, broke at the welding point.
Where do you put them while you are doing the laundry
So cute!
Also, on another note, what camera do you use to film your miniature videos?
+Thea Riley I use a Sony held hel video camera. My very first videos, which have much higher views, were on my android phone though. I would say, just use what is available, and invest in better equipment when you can :)
Thank you!
I have started my own business selling my miniature clay food for about two years in a variety of different shops, and have been so enjoying all of your videos and advice. Thank you so much!
i am looking to possibly start a channel, to promote my business, which i am working on a web site for now, and to give it a try for fun.
What did you make the fleece side walls out of? Like is there anything in between? :)
+Sara Lulu The walls don't have an inner layer. Everything else has a center layer that is a Uhaul moving pad. (they recycled denim one) I think it is 8.99 per, but is very big. I was able to make a multiple linings with just one
Oh ok! Thank you so much!
I have a Netherland Dwarf rabbit. I'd love to build him a similar cage... But how in the world do you CLEAN this? I've always given my rabbits fleece blankets to cuddle up to (my last rabbit, rest his poor soul, lived to be over ten years old, so the 'that's not healthy' comments need not be ;) ), and I know what it was like to clean those (wayyyy easy compared to doing an entire cage, LOL). Love the idea, just curious! Great job! :D
I sweep the fleec pads every day, and wash them about every 5 days.
Do they share a cage?
They did until the little guy hit puberty, Smudge started pick on Spike, and started to try pulling Spikes hair out. The cage looks completely different now, and they each have their own floor. I still sew their pads. but the ramps are gone. We now have three boys. Spike, Smudge, and Gumbo . Spike and Gumbo are rescues.
i want ur house :'(
It was so much work to put together… and expensive 😫
mine is litter trained. it's way less work.
cutey Rosado how do you litter train Them? 💞
I bet…. Sooooo messy
