- This is my very first polymer clay landscape. I hope you enjoy the time lapse. I know it isn't what I regularly do. Let me know how you like it.
Someone in the comments said the originator of this type of work is Artistic Variations here on youtube. I don't know who invented Polymer Clay "painting" but I just looked up Artistic Variations, and the work is amazing!!! I just subscribed. Here is the channel link for those of you interested in more polymer Clay Painting techniques. / @artisticvariations8172
I know this is a bit different for Me, What do you think? Do you want more of this type of thing?
Heather Wells LOVE this idea, if you could make more, I would be more than happy, this is a great piece of art.💜
Thank you so much!! It took me two full weeks of work.
Heather Wells wow, this is impressive, I couldn't take that much time in such a nice work, even if I wanted to, this is REAL ART.
There are tiny and regular sized altoid containers. I am considering covering one of them soon. I just have to decide what I to do on them. That may be a less daunting project to try too. :)
Heather Wells please do a slow tutorial of these!! Maybe a dragon one??
I am new to polymer clay. I love to play with clay but I didn't like charms and jewelry. This is very inspiring and encouraging to me. I would love to see more of this.
Thanks for the response. I wasn't sure how this would go over, with how different this is from my usual work
WOW!!! If Bob Ross did clay... Very nice and yes would love to see more... Thanks for posting...
Thank you so much
I am blown away by this. Not only is your journal beautiful but the fact that this is your first polymer clay landscape. Very impressive, I would love to see more.
And thank your the link. I've never come across Artistic Variations before.
Thank you so much
Votre réalisation est digne d'un tableau .merci beaucoup pour votre partage .🙏🏻🥰
CLAY?!!?!?! holy moly this is incredible I am in awe!
Yep, I used Premo polymer Clay. Thank you so much for the kind compliment!
Sorry I have not been uploading videos, my wired internet connection, to my computer with my editing software has been down for months, and I have not been able to fix it. I think it is the wiring in the wall itself, and they didn't wire it through tubes in the walls. The room is upstairs, and the wireless connection does not reach that room. :( I am still doing artwork, and may be trying my hand at painting soon. I will see what I can do, about fixing the connection, but I can't rewire the house :(
Wow Heather, this is beyond beautiful, I can se you have been experimenting with new techniques and styles, I just love your evolution, yes we will love to see more of this polymer clay paintings. 😇
How have you been? Thanks for the kind comment :)
Wow! That is just spectacular! I bet it is even more stunning in person where you can really see all the texture and tiny little details. I have been toying with the idea of making some sort of clay piece to hang on the wall instead of the usual jewelry and trinkets. Of course I could ever create anything as complex as you did, but maybe something smaller and much simpler.
It took a solid two weeks worth of work. I think in the future unless it is much simpler I will be doing much smaller areas. It fed my soul in a way the miniature food doesn't.
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS
THANKS FOR SHARING
I DON'T KNOW IF I COULD DO THIS OR NOT
Thank you so much
This is revolutionary!! Why aren't more people talking about this new style of painting!!
It truly feels like painting to me. It makes me want to draw again.
Very cool. Even though you and Artistic Variations have done the same thing - a landscape - the results are very, very, very different!! I like both styles and I think I might try to do something like this myself. I thought your blending technique was rather nice how you did the clouds in the sky. I was very surprised that you chose to shade using tiny balls of clay - your finished piece looks very much like pointillism whereas Artistic has more of a smooth blending technique. The water came out very nice - and you only used a few colors for it! The only hitch is that you cut it out either slightly crooked or you forgot to reshape neatly around the edges to fit the notebook. The clay drawing itself is lovely.
Thank you so very much for your kind compliment. Did you ever try a landscape? How did it come out?
Oh my gosh Heather, this is truly a work of art. Absolutely gorgeous love how you did the waterfall.
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed the whole project. How are you doing?
I am doing great, thank you for asking. Hope you & your family are doing well also.
This is incredible, Heather! I can't get over the amount of detail and work that went into this. You totally slay at clay. ☺️👏
thank you so much!
wow! just WOW
Thank you!
This is absolutely amazing! 😱 I haven't even finished the video and I'm blown away! you put so much time into these detailed little pieces, they're incredible! 😍
Thank you so much!
This is absolutely gorgeous and truly a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork. I would love to see more videos like this. It was so calm and relaxing. You truly have an amazing talent. This has inspired me to try landscape painting with polymer clay.
I love watching Heather Rooney drawing time lapses. I figured that a time lapse is the only way I could show something like this. It was so satisfying for the creative part of me. I hope you do try it :)
I've never heard of Heather Rooney, though I love drawing time lapses. It is so amazing to me when people have such an awe-inspiring talent of being able to draw something to look completely realistic. I'll have to look up Heather Rooney before I take on this project for inspiration. That is fantastic that it satisfied the creative side of you! I think that is definitely the most important thing when having a hobby like this: to satisfy what you love and do what YOU want to create. :)
I know this was done 8mths ago but it is awesome could you do another one this is a wonderful journal cover......
If I do break out the clay I could see making another. I loved doing it
This is beautiful Heather. You have such an amazing skill with polymer clay. Yes please, do more of these! Tfs 💕👍🏻😊
Thank you so much!
Wow! This is absolutely stunning! I have no words! You are so talented!! ❤️
Thank you :)
That is very impressive! I didn't know we could do so much with polymer clay!
Thank you so much!
OMG This is just amazing, I can't even imagine how much time would it take to make this whole piece, and so much precision, AMAZING❤️
Thank you. I have been eyeing Altoid containers, I will try to think of a nice cover
Amazing just beautiful thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for watching, and taking the time to comment
This is gorgeous! I love how it looks like a painting, very interesting technique.
I really enjoyed making that one but it was about 40 hours to make
That is magnificent
Thank you :)
That's was stunning. Loved seeing how you built up the picture in the layers and yes would, love to see more like this 🤗🤗🤗
It was very interesting. I want to try to do something that looks like still water with resin too, I haven't figured out exactly what I want to do, but wet look water seems like a fun challenge.
Heather Wells 😹😹so it would be too I love polymer clay as it does challenge ones views on how things work 😹 same with the resin as well
Love it, shame it is so fast, would love to see how you get your scene looking so detailed and real.
It I get a really great scenic photo I will try to do another clay landscape
How impressive is this! Have got to try it. Inspiration explosion.
I hope you have lots of fun, I did.
Stunning work!! I love it!!!!
Thank you
This was great to watch. I'm really new to polymer clay so if my comment sounds strange please forgive me. This time-lapse didn't give any indication this cover was baked. Or is that just a given. I'd be worried the cover would melt.
Sorry I have been logged out a really long time. I baked the clay alone. Then used clear Elmer's school glue to attach it to the cover. I have since sliced it off and re-glued it to a different journal cover.
simply wow 😮
Thank you so much
amazing beautiful
Thank you so much
I missed u dear heather this is beyond amazing
How have you been ? :) Thanks for the compliment. I need to figure out what the next one will be.

Heather Wells awww u addopted a kitty I cant wait to see it😻😻
She doesn't answer to her name, "Shelby" so I am considering others. she is 8 months old. White, with blue eyes.
Heather Wells Aww I would love to see her! 😍
Heather, will you be posting anymore tutorials? Your work is fantastic and you are very thorough in your directions. Just love! I hope you come back-i don't see anything for the last few months. Take care. :-)
Thank you so much. I hope to some day

Wow, great job!
Thank you :) It was really fun, I makes me want to draw and paint
Stunning work! I always love seeing what different things people do with polymer clay. Very inspiring! How long did it take you?
two weeks of working a lot on it each day. I would guess 60 hours? Maybe 80.
Oh wow! It looks beautiful! Will you be doing anymore of these in the future?
This is amazing
Thank you so much
This is awesome!
Thank you very much!
This is so pretty! What tool are you using to place the clay and then blend?
Dental tools. They were sold in the candle making and clay section of Micheals when I bought them
This is so pretty 😍😍
Thank you so much!
I've been wanting to do one of these ever since I watched Artistic Variations videos but I've got to finish up a few things first. How long did this take you? It's gorgeous! Did you have a reference to go by?
40 hours or so. I used a stock photo
Currently speechless 😶
Thanks :)
That is awesome 👍😀
Thank you so much
Its awesone can I try to do it and if so can you give me the combinations of the colors please.
Feel free to try it. I can't remember all the colors. Mostly base color, but I added varying amount of white to each color I used, to create different shades of the same color. Below are the colors I think I used.
Black, white, Burnt Umber, Raw Sienna, Ecru, Spanish Oak, Green, I don't remember the names of the other colors at this moment, but the pale blue was the sculpey ll pastel looking blue. all other clay was the premo. Ultra marine, the really dark purple, a green - yellow color, and the bright almost neon yellow. Mostly mixing small amounts of clay with white, and some of the colors together to create many shades and colors. An example is the ultra marine with the dark purple, then separating some, to add a little white, then separating some more and adding white to that, etc.
I love it!!!!! :)
Thank you so much
Holy shih-tzu!
:)
Where are you? I miss u
I have been working full time
I am starting to slowly come back
классс!!!!!!
Thanks for watching
