I have 3 10mm Glocks and they run. I recently picked up a Colt Delta Elite It would not run even after running 200 rounds to try and break it in. After I tuned the Extractor and polished the throat and feed ramp it runs and feeds great. Really love the 10mm cartridge.
Glad I purchased my G20 and G40. Added Ameriglo night sights, McNally trigger, and Alpha Wolf stock length and 6” barrel. Damn good guns after those things added. Mainly use Underwood 200 grn. hard cast, XTP, and Nosler Sporting bullet for woods. Sig 180 grn. V-Crown for EDC.
I think that a mistake that many gun owners make is that they want to fit the gun to the ammo, when what they should be doing is fitting the ammo to the gun. simply put, use ammo that your gun can handle and function correctly with. leave your gun with all its original equipment as it was designed to function with. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I would like to use a 50 BMG in my glock 20, but it ain't happening, it is what it is.
I’ve got several Glocks to include a gen 4 Glock 40. I like it after I upgraded the sights, trigger, talon grips and kkm barrel it’s a nice shooter. For the 10mm market I’ll be honest the 4.5” xdm elite osp 10mm flat out smokes the Glock 20 imo out of the box. Trigger, sights, osp and the fact it has a supported chamber. Recoil wise I’ll be honest I don’t notice a difference between the 4.5” xdm-e and the Glock 20. They feel about the same to me. Glock has some shortcomings however if you are willing to pay for the upgrades then a Glock might be your thing. Out of the box it isn’t close.
Yep I've been shooting glock 20s forever my brother bought xdm 10mm. My glocks were jamming on underwood buffalo bore his shot perfect. I finally broke down and bought a 3.8 xdm and 4.5 both shoot everything from range ammo to 220 gr hardcast. Done with glocks in 10mm

Gaston Glock built his firearm because he wanted it to be simple and not complicated, and that's what a lot of people don't understand . I consider the Glock the Buick Lesabre of the gun world, not much to look at but very liable. Simplicity is often best and if it working? Don't fix it until it breaks! For the New Glock Gen 5 pistols, don't like the trigger, been a Glock owner since 1988 and never had issues with the trigger. Been using Underwood since 2014 and never had an issue with their ammo. However some had and some even had catastrophic damage of their10mm firearms. Underwood made changes to prevent this. My Glock Gen 3 feeds everything and had no issues with it.
Funny you mention liking a "stock Glock". Years ago I had a tricked out G23 that I carried on and off duty (I was the Dept armorer so I approved all my modifications). My friend showed me the G23 he just bought and I suddenly didn't like mine. I wished I had never messed with it. I have a stock Gen5 G19 now. Nothing but some Trijis on it. I do plan on getting a G20 as soon as the Gen5 drops BUT, unless it is lead friendly, I will be switching the bbl to a KKM.
I leave all mine stock except for swapping out the sights. I absolutely love the G20 (Gen4) i like yourself am waiting on the Gen5 G20. Im have no idea why Glock hasn't made a Gen5 yet in 10mm
@@Revolverguy38 I'm getting that itch, again tho. I carry max power 10mm Liberty Civil Defense, its a solid copper fragmenting 60 grain bullet traveling 2,400fps producing 780fpe out of a 5 inch barrel. It penetrates FBI minimum 12 inches and defeats most soft armors. Creates violent hydrostatic shock with a 40cal projectile moving medium rifle speeds (2,400fps+) out of my Glock 20 with 5 inch KKM, slide milled for 509 ACSS X2, Overwatch precision black and gold trigger, Lasermax green guiderod. No regrets, 100% reliability.
Got my Glock 40 10mm Gen 4 on 07/06/2023. I literally just shot it for the first time yesterday at a range in another state. I enjoyed it so dam much. I forgot about those finger groves and the Glock sights/trigger and just had fun. First time ever shooting 10mm and loved it. When I was down the group beside was like what's your EDC and I said this Glock 40 they were like that's too much pistol for them to constantly EDC but when I put it an generic holster and put it iwb they were like dam you can't notice. I was like at first it was agitating but now use to it. I put 100 rounds through it today. Before I change the Glock trigger I will put at least 400-700 rounds through it because it may break it in for me and I might like the Glock trigger this time around😂 but even if I don't at least for myself I can say I put more than enough rounds via factory trigger to self justified an outside trigger. I will more likely get the G20 Gen5 this year. I am still going to EDC the G40 10mm Gen4
I went with the 29 for concealment and it has less kick then the 20 I am told. These 10s are the best hands down. All the other label lovers can say what they want but facts are facts.
Glock 20 in 10mm is awesome as a bear gun with heavy solids, and with lighter superfast 2000+ fps loads for self defense it reaches near rifle velocity allowing hydrostatic shocks. Only 357 mag and hotter can do that. It's pretty dope.
watching your range video, hearing the brass hit the floor on my surround sound speakers i was expecting to see brass under my 75 inch curved screen tv. love the glock 20 gen 4, very meaty grip when firing down range. just got mine saturday, only 100 rounds through it so far, but it was fun to shoot.
I think using 10mm is not an issue. Just don’t carry extreme penetrate rounds or the highest limits of the cartridge. Still more than a 40 but not a crazy hit round.
Underwood Ammo 10mm Auto 135 Gr Nosler JHP (1600 FPS MV, 767 FtLbs ME, out of a 5" barrel, advertised), is not at all hard to control, and is not going to over-penetrate. It hits very hard, with a big energy dump, but does NOT penetrate very deep in 10% balistics gel, only 11" or less. I love the 10mm Auto. It's my favorite cartridge. The .357 Magnum of the semi-automatic pistol world - so very versatile. I owned a Gen3 Glock 20SF. It was the only Glock I'd ever fired that was not 100% totally reliable. It was in fact a veritable "jam-o-matic" with heavy full power 10mm Auto loads from Buffalo Bore, Double Tap, and Underwood. I've now very happily replaced it with a S&W M&P 10mm M2.0 4.6" pistol, which in my personal experience has proven to be vastly superior to my (old) G20. Good things! 👍
@johnklatt3522 Yes, I remember. I've seen numerous gel tests with Underwood's 10mm Auto 135 Gr Nosler JHP, and it has always fallen short of 11" of penetration in 10% balistics gel, while also fragmenting a lot. I've shot this round myself out of my Gen3 Glock 20SF and my S&W M&P 10mm M2.0 4.6" pistols (S&W really should truncate their pistol designations). I found this round to be very controllable and accurate out of both guns, no problems feeding, but out of my G20SF with the stock Glock barrel I had the notorious Glock smiley-face buldged cases due to the Glock's unsupported chamber. No issues whatsoever with my M&P 10mm as it's chamber has full case support. Underwood's 10mm Auto 165 Gr Speer Gold Dot Bonded JHP feeds fine in my M&P, and likewise is very controllable with good accuracy. It doesn't function reliably in my G20SF (constantly FTF). Same goes for this bullet in the 180 Gr configuration - constant FTF with my G20SF. My M&P 10mm also functions perfectly fine with Buffalo Bore's 10mm Auto 220 Gr FN HCL round, as well as Underwood's 10mm Auto 200 Gr and 220 Gr FN HCL rounds. My G20SF has stabilizing issues with the 220 Gr FN HCL loads using the stock Glock barrel. The 200 Gr FN HCL load flies fine. For all cases, I get the notorious Glock smiley-face bulge. Using my 6" Loan Wolf barrel, and/or my Bar-Sto semi drop-in 4.6" barrel, with their tighter tolerances and full case support, I have a lot of feeding issues with these two 220 Gr FN HCL loads out of my G20SF. I've experimented with different RSAs and magazine springs for my G20SF, but regardless of which of my three barrels, these problems persist in one fashion or another (FTF, FTE, bulged cases) with my Glock. No problems with my M&P 10mm. Truth be told, I replaced the weak stock RSA and magazine springs in my M&P 10mm over a year ago (1,400 rounds ago), and I've enjoyed 100% total reliability ever since. My M&P 10mm has replaced my G20SF, which I've now sold (at a substantial loss). Good things! 👍
1911's are popular for their nostalgia. When it comes to 10mm and 45acp, they pretty much can only handle FMJs. Anything with HPs will give them trouble.
I have glock 20 and like it i have 1911s in 45 acp and like them but they do have feed problems when you fire hot 45 rounds so i stick with 230 fmj i never was a glock fan but i changed my mind because they work.
The club 20 Gentry ported sites conversated barrel is the best clock You can get all the parts from it stuck up on parts because a broken gun is a dead gun will not save your can convert it to a 45 sheet 45 out of it so this gun is to love for
I carry the G29 when I want a smaller but legally concealable 10mm on my person, while fishing in the sierras and I do NOT want other people seeing a gun on me. During fishing season, it’s the perfect concealable “black-bear-get-away-from-me” gun. I love my Delta Elite 10mm’s. They work perfectly with standard factory loads. With those colt 1911’s, I do NOT ever shoot +P, Underwood, DoubleTap nor BuffaloBore HOT HOT HOT loads. With my Colt 10mm 1911’s, I have used them on mule deer with 175gr Winchester Silvertips. It drops a deer nicely. I think if I had to, an 8+1 mag dump on an aggressive black bear with the 1911 10mm would probably make a bear get off me. For hunting black bear, I use the Gen3 Glock 20 with a KKM barrel (with built-in KKM muzzle break) and a #22lb recoil spring, loaded with 210gr lead hardcast bullets by DoubleTap. I’ve been hunting and taking black bear with that combo for years now. The Glock eats it all and I’ve never had any failures with the barrel/ammo/recoil spring combo as described above.
Over penetration? You're one of those guys? Okay. Whatever. I am so tired of hearing about over penetration. Don't forget the 10mm was designed as a duty cartridge. Like you said, it is very similar to the .357 Magnum, which has an outstanding reputation as a service cartridge. I have carried Underwood 200 gr XTPs for over a decade, and for nearly a decade before that, it was 180 gr Gold Dots loaded by Double Tap.
Yep, I’d say this is yet another of the gun videos that were suppressed. I am subbed and still never saw this one pop up in my feed or searches of Glock 20 or 10mm. Either search should have brought it right up. One of my main edc guns is a Gen 4 G20. Love 9mm, 40 and 45…along with many other calibers. But for me a 10mm works best for carry. Perfect blend of power and capacity. Nice choices of ammo from mild to hot, plus big heavy slow options to suppress. It’s just a big black block of plastic and metal, but it’s the most reliable IMO. I will say the Springfield Elite also seems to be able to handle a steady diet of the hot stuff though. I do have others in 10mm, and seems the Springfield TRP long slide 1911 was actually built to eat hot 10mm. It’s a tank, but also has the looks. Just lacks capacity. Normally I do stick to 45acp for a 1911.
"When you've got the Glock 20, of firepower you know you've got plenty!" It's not for nothing that when you hold a Glock 20, you're holding onto one of the three most powerful Glock pistols (those being the Glock 20, the Glock 29, and the Glock 40). The stock Glock barrel is known for leaving bulges in 10mm brass, though. Any chance you'll get a better-supported barrel so that doesn't happen? With a threaded barrel you could even thread on a linear compensator to throw some of the firing noises forwards, making it more comfortable to shoot.
I love my Glock 20 and 40 both 10mil and my 19x those are the only ones I like I have a sig p320 I don't like my fn503 is my favorite because of the trigger I also have a sig p365 I love
@@exoticwhipsbroadspipesandbags that is correct!! At 56 years old I do not powerful recoil. I own a .357 magnum revolver that I have had for years but I do not shoot it anymore unless I have to defend myself at home!!!! In terms of velocity & energy the .357 magnum is right up there with the 10mm.
I guess judging a pistol on reliability, dependability, ease of maintenance, aftermarket parts, etc...is out of the question.......as long as it's pretty.
Loved your videos since you talked about the pug nose 8 shot. I carried a gp100 for about a year into my CCW. I did change to a Glock 19 or a 34 just because it’s something I can carry IWB.
I agree, Glock 20sf has never failed me, I also shoot .40 with a conversion barrel fun and cheaper.
No need for a conversion barrel, I’ve been training with .40 in my G20 for years, I’ve never had an issue
I'm glad you showed hot 🔥 ammo shooting the 10mm. Because that is the ammo, I'm gonna buy 4 it 💯
Good video, thank you!......But where in the World is Sonny Crockett and his Brenn Ten???? LOL!!!!!
Yea, you are correct about 1911's they are not 10mm ready, they are an abomination, if not chambered in the venerable 45acp. 🤠
I sure enjoy mine, i actually own the same holster, nice setup👍🏻
My dad has the glock 20 with trijicon night sights and a ghost 3.5lb connector, and I have the glock 40 mos.

g20 g5 with light... what holster would you buy to ccw?
If you piss off tons of people you covered the correct topic. Cheers 🥃
Love the stock glock look none of that aftermarket flashy anodized Gucci crap. Agreed with loving the 10mm for edc/woods here in WI no Grizzly just black bear the G29SF makes for a great carry piece .
Buying my first handgun this month and it's going to be a g20sf for woods protection in northwest Wisconsin!

If I go into town put the ten rounder back in carry appendix very concealable.
I've pretty much had every 10 mm there is. Except for the new M&P an the Sig. Even had a Bren 10 for a while . Started with a Delta. Then a S&W 1006 & 1076. AMT .LAR grizzly. With a 357 and 45 Win Mag conversions. And the Glock 20 & 29. By far the Glocks have been the most reliable/ lightest to carry/ highest capacity one by far. And the most accurate.

I leave the house, I look at my SWR Octane 9 HD (silencer) think to grab it then remember - no point, my current carry doesn't even have a threaded bbl. I even caught myself looking them (G19 bbls) online but that's how it starts. Before long, your Glock...... isn't 🥺 As for Glock not making the Gen5 G20, why hasn't Springfield chambered the Emissary in 10mm? I'm waiting on several guns that don't exist, sucks.
The lead thing is ridiculous, the one thing that makes me wish I got the Springfield, that being said I don't shoot lead lol
@@nunzioification Same here, I just like options. Like it bothers me that LWR had trouble shooting 220gr out of a X Ten (I just got one) but the thing is - I never will shoot 220gr. For me 10mm is not a bear defense pistol, it's a carry gun. So I really shouldn't care..... but I do lol
Man ! I'd love to see Paul Harrel use that round on one of his meat targets !
I absolutely love mine!!!!! The best millimeter
My 1911 doesn’t like Underwood 45 so yeah Underwood might be better for guns with loose tolerances.
Rented one of these over the weekend. Was surprised at how manageable it was. Going to have to pick one up in the near future.
Grab one, you won't regret it 🇺🇸
Same here, brother. Purchase is just a week away.
It was manageable because u were using shooting range ammo, shoot it with some real ammo next time
@@5.56pete I’ll be sure to ask for “real ammo” next time. Thanks!

G20 is awesome. This guy sounds like Norm McDonnell doing a gun review. RIP Norm
Ran up on your G20 Vlog. Enjoyed your thoughts, and I myself love mine along with Underwood ammo!
Do you have a stock barrell?
I went with the 29 for concealment and it has less kick then the 20 I am told. These 10s are the best hands down. All the other label lovers can say what they want but facts are facts.
Do you even Glock bro? (just kidding)
hahaha...
Glock 20 in 10mm is awesome as a bear gun with heavy solids, and with lighter superfast 2000+ fps loads for self defense it reaches near rifle velocity allowing hydrostatic shocks. Only 357 mag and hotter can do that. It's pretty dope.
And the 33 too
I love my gen4 Glock 20. I want to find out from other 20 lovers what guns have grips similar to the G20.
Somebody help me out here, please.
watching your range video, hearing the brass hit the floor on my surround sound speakers i was expecting to see brass under my 75 inch curved screen tv. love the glock 20 gen 4, very meaty grip when firing down range. just got mine saturday, only 100 rounds through it so far, but it was fun to shoot.
@johnklatt3522
Yes, I remember.

I like them plain too!
Must be nice to find 50 round boxes of JHP
I have glock 20 and like it i have 1911s in 45 acp and like them but they do have feed problems when you fire hot 45 rounds so i stick with 230 fmj i never was a glock fan but i changed my mind because they work.
I need it for bears and mountain lions. I live in a big ranch with lots of wildlife. My .40 is risky but I will use it till I get a10 mm g20
10MM and 9’’ barrel its a monster gun
The club 20 Gentry ported sites conversated barrel is the best clock You can get all the parts from it stuck up on parts because a broken gun is a dead gun will not save your can convert it to a 45 sheet 45 out of it so this gun is to love for
You need Underwood 200gr XTP, absolutely devastating 😮.
The reason I chose Glock is I only use it for the woods . I wanted something reliable and the 1911 is just to fancy for a woods carry gun
I always said I'd never buy a glock. It just didn't feel like a real gun. Well, i got a 20. I like it. Not the kick i was expecting.

Love my 29 🎉
The best one !

Carry 29 in Bear country. Buffalo bore 220g. I feel safe.
picked up my gen 5 glock 20 today, going hiking in denali and valdez this summer.
Your right!!👍

Love my 20sf
i use 180-200 grain....if I don't penetrate, you're still gonna have a bad day!
"When you've got the Glock 20,
of firepower you know you've got plenty!"
It's not for nothing that when you hold a Glock 20, you're holding onto one of the three most powerful Glock pistols (those being the Glock 20, the Glock 29, and the Glock 40).
The stock Glock barrel is known for leaving bulges in 10mm brass, though. Any chance you'll get a better-supported barrel so that doesn't happen? With a threaded barrel you could even thread on a linear compensator to throw some of the firing noises forwards, making it more comfortable to shoot.
I will carry whatever round I want to full house light loads Or anything else to protect my life or my family’s life
