I just wanna say I love your videos so much, it’s so refreshing to see actual realistic cooking videos because we’re all secretly little gremlins in the kitchen but no one talks about it 😂
For that yuzu tofu, I've made pudding and it was delicious! Just put it in a blender with sugar, vanilla, some soy milk, some cornstarch, and blend, then cook over medium low heat until it thickened, then cooled it in some ramekins and it was DELISH
Don't worry about all the rice bowls. I know what it's like to get into a cycle where a certain dish just pops up in my head as what I want. It's not hurting anyone. I love your content. Edit: I never think your clips are too long. One viewer's unasked for opinion. O__O
You sound so unsure of yourself, so often in this video. But, this is exactly how I do food most of the time... mix things that I have and hope for the best. Some of my meals are so odd, but if it's a meal to me, that's all that matters!
Cutting the noodles before putting them in the plate?! How come I never thought of that. Every time I make a noodle dish I get sad because I end up eating the noodles all at once 🥲 You are THE hack genius! Love your videos!!
This is probably the first time I've commented on a RUclips video in a very long time but.. I was honestly ignoring all of the food related content and laughed and giggled at your goofy nature. It feel homey and I want to be your friend lol!
for others, the cinnamon sugar toast works just as well in a toaster oven! it’s especially good with cream cheese spread on top after it’s done cooking. I love this style of casual voice over, I hope you continue with it! your videos always reignite my love of food, thank you!!
I'm about to fly for 12 hours (I downloaded a lot of you videos so I am ready to binge). And now Im waiting for the plane and this is the perfect way to wait :)
11:47 the way you said "DOOKIE" 😆😆 also I had a pretty weird combo for a meal the other day toasted bread with butter, nooch on the butter on the bread, then I smooshed a banana on the nooch so it became a smashed banana nooch toasted sandwich and it was so good I'm gonna have it again today!
I can't remember if you still have that Agar agar powder, but you can make gummies out of that, sweetener, and tart cherry juice. I also froze it in cubes to add a lil something to sparkling water and iced tea.
Thank you! I appreciate all the tofu ideas, I have a block in the fridge that I feel like has been there for too long. Sometimes we do just eat a lot of something for a week. Sometimes you buy tofu and eat lots and other times maybe it's a certain veggie that you got a great deal on. Cooking for just one or two, things don't get used up all that fast so you tend to eat them again and again.
Mmm, self-made hummus! 😍 Emily, in response to your video title. Doing regular exercise (lifting weights, taking a long walk, etc. 🏋♀🤼♀🚴♂🚣♀) can help with feeling less lazy/feeling more motivated. So not only essential for your physical health, but also important for positive mental energy and well being (reduces stress significantly). It will probably help you sleep better too. So many people don't realise this enough.
Omg yes!!! Exercise is so underrated for good sleep and motivation. I try to aim for 20-30 minutes a day and I fall asleep right when my head hits the pillow. I also almost never sit down anymore unless it's meal time or painting or when I'm watching RUclips (like I am now lol)
eating similar stuff for days/weeks and then changing it up a few weeks later is so relatable and honest like that's how the rest of the world eats! Obsessed with certain meals for a couple weeks then never sees those recipes/foods again for months lol.
It's so funny; I found the same yuzu tofu at Grocery Outlet last week & decided to try it! I'm obsessed with yuzu because it's basically an Asian citrus fruit...mainly lemony but also limey and grapefruity. Anyway, I've yet to use it so I'm glad you tried it before me. I think I might use it as a base for a lemon mousse?
I recently tried raisins in a salad it gives it a nice subtle sweet flavor, if you use a smaller amount. Orange as a lemon/lime substitute also works in salad dressings!
My mom sometimes used to make a Waldorf salad, with lettuce, grated carrot, apples, raisins, walmuts, mayo, celery, maybe lemon, but i'm not sure...and yeah, with the raisins, it made it very nice...i think there are different versions of a Waldorf salad...some put grapes too...🍓🥭
@@ronyaduydu5856 ~ She may have even put a little orange juice in the mayo and / or used some mandarin oranges as well, but i'm not sure about that.....🍅🍇
I love farro!! I make a middle eastern porridge with it, it's called harissa even though I know there's also a spicy middle eastern paste with the same name. I boil it for 40 mins in a pressure cooker, blend half or so of it in a food processor and mix the two halves together over the stove (I like a little bite that's why I don't blend it all, although some people do) and top with a cinnamon sugar mix and a small splash of olive oil. It's literally so good
In Italy we eat farro as a cold dish a lot. Like in summer we eat it with everything, it's like pasta fredda. Put vegetables, olives, capers, vegan feta, almonds, walnuts, literally everything
EMILY! My family is transitioning to plant based vegetarian at home!!! this is HUGE! and my mom will no longer buy cows milk ! here's hoping they become vegan soon.
Yo and Rebecca (veganbodegacat) are my favs in terms of showing a way of eating that's more relatable. Lits my meals are just throwing a bunch of things together with condiments and that's it 😅 And about the tofu, it's not supposed to have a"firming agent". If it's silken tofu the process of making it it's different, and if it's the regular stuff the firmness just depends of how it was pressed during the elaboration.
I have to say this video was very exciting because I just got the same ALDI oat milk and almond whipped cream for the first time today and your review has me Quite excited to try the oat milk!!!! I feel oat milk is always hit or miss so this felt like a good sign.. anyway thank you for your vids they've been singlehandedly inspiring me to use up neglected things in my pantry lately
I went to San Diego this year and what do I miss the most?? The beaches? No. The food? No. I miss Grocery Outlet more than anything 🥲🥲🥲 wish there was one in my area ☹️
FYI the vegan rebars are pretty good frozen (they're pretty hard right out of the freezer but if you let them sit for like 10 mins they soften up enough to eat)
Hi Emily, can I ask what you're doing for work/uni? You seem to be home so much. No offense, I'm just wondering because I'm at uni and I would love to cook more but I'm rarely home:( And I love how you can just do an unscripted voiceover, you're so naturally funny!😂
I LOVE plain tofu! I feel like every person I've met who I told this to have been so weirded out by it. I'll eat it plain out of the package too and when I cut it up, I always sneak a piece 😅
I never would've thought to add spinach to a rice bowl but I don't like nori (texture issues!) so that's such a great replacement option!! Do you make the rice for your bowls or eat leftover rice cold from the fridge?
I cook the whole bag of chickpeas once and then freeze it in portions, just like have it in a can, in 5 min is ready to use, freeze it like flat you know?
Thanks for the video, I really enjoy watching! Would you consider maybe doing a what I eat in a week based off the recipes of channels like Cheap Lazy Vegan, Well Your World, Krocks in the Kitchen? I’m a dork and eat pretty much the same stuff every day, and also find that I don’t really spend a lot of money on food eating this way (Aldi has the cheapest tofu in town 👍). You could maybe do cost comparisons on the other channels? I’m a basic bitch and also grow and freeze a lot of my produce for the year, so I can see how money and flavor could be compromised (my frozen tomatoes rock even in February). Thanks again and have a wonderful day 😊
I always adooore your spirit and ohh you are so funny :) I struggle with food guilt and you inspire me so much especially with peanuts and peanut butter best thing in the world.

I didn't wear deodorant daily until I got the sour belts one (it smells so good)
Add salt and bbq sauce on the vegan chicken strips boca is a good brand on my opinion 🍿☕🍪🍰🧁
I just wanna say I love your videos so much, it’s so refreshing to see actual realistic cooking videos because we’re all secretly little gremlins in the kitchen but no one talks about it 😂
Also that DOOKIE almost made me spit out my coffee fr 😂
It's like a band apologizing for a bonus track.
Thanks for for the extra day!
It’s supremely satisfying and pleasing to know things in your pantry are being used up. I’m very invested in your pantry cleanout apparently haha.
Tofu, same, every meal. But that carrot chomping technique, priceless. Who needs knives, not you, that’s for sure.
For that yuzu tofu, I've made pudding and it was delicious! Just put it in a blender with sugar, vanilla, some soy milk, some cornstarch, and blend, then cook over medium low heat until it thickened, then cooled it in some ramekins and it was DELISH

Blessed with this while folding my winter clothes to put in storage. I was dreading it, but this made it fly by.
The background music is iconic and wonderful

Also, I loved the one take voice over. It feels more personal!!
EPIC voiceover lmaoo. You should do all voiceovers in one take it would be hilarious
Cutting the noodles before putting them in the plate?! How come I never thought of that. Every time I make a noodle dish I get sad because I end up eating the noodles all at once 🥲 You are THE hack genius! Love your videos!!
I am such a picky, uninventive eater but watching these videos makes me feel way more comfy and adventurous in the kitchen!
I loved this voice over. It was so funny, you should definitely do it again. You have a great sense of humour.

Yooo! This is just what I needed on an anxiety-filled night from really shit air quality from the wildlfires. Thanks for the serotonin boost!
I'm about to fly for 12 hours (I downloaded a lot of you videos so I am ready to binge). And now Im waiting for the plane and this is the perfect way to wait :)
I love the longer videos! Thats even better for us haha
Ive been listening to this video like a podcast and can guarantee voiceover is unhinged, and the reason why I love this channel so much
I’m obsessed with your videos they’re so chill and real lol.
I love the idea of the frying the tortilla roll ups in the air fryer. I’m totally going to try that!
we love longer videos, the more of you the better!! :)
11:47 the way you said "DOOKIE" 😆😆

Emily I once made a coconut pie out of Silken tofu and it was delish! !!!
the tart cherry juice is also awesome for speeding up recovery post-workout!
We are so blessed with a 33 min video… TY
Always enjoy a longer video from you, and a “toast week” (Wouldn’t mind some new background music tho.) But always love the content!
I can't remember if you still have that Agar agar powder, but you can make gummies out of that, sweetener, and tart cherry juice. I also froze it in cubes to add a lil something to sparkling water and iced tea.
Th laziness is so chaotic. It makes these vids so entertaining 😄

I am waaaay too addicted to your videos haha! They can't be long enough lol
the last 10 mins of this voice-over was chaotic perfection
I highly recommend air-frying or pan-frying the breakfast burritos after you roll them. So good!
Only 50 seconds in this gorl is already so unhinged I love it (GREAT content as always)
Absolutely loooooved the chaotic voice over
More than happy for a long video! Cutting things up on lids representation
the biting of carrots instead of cutting them took me out. also i feel like when voice-overs are recorded in one take they're always funnier
you should totally make more longer videos like this!!!!!💋💕

I will never be mad about a longer video

These rice bowls are going to save my life. Thank you!
i’ve been watching you for years and just figured out you live in the same area as me i’m shook

I just made my tofu scramble the other day just like this... love it!
The biting the carrots into size killed me 😂

Cant sleep on the aldi non-dairy milks 😭 I’ve commented about them so many times now HAHA but the coconut milk has the most amazing flavor just an FYI
FYI the vegan rebars are pretty good frozen (they're pretty hard right out of the freezer but if you let them sit for like 10 mins they soften up enough to eat)
I love the longer videos Emily!!! 😊👍
New comfort creator 🥲🤍
I wish we had Aldi in Colorado. I've never been to one. I saw one in Virginia when I was there for work, but I had already bought my groceries. :(
Right? I'm so sad about it they should open a few here

the voiceover at the end is me talking to myself when i cant sleep
hahaha listening to you get flustered about the mushroom clip already passing made me laugh so loud hasfhldfds
I love the chaotic audio
you arent supposed to cook the black salt, it will lose its taste. just add it at the end if you want the full taste
How was the edamame flavored tofu?
I LOVE plain tofu! I feel like every person I've met who I told this to have been so weirded out by it. I'll eat it plain out of the package too and when I cut it up, I always sneak a piece 😅
this was so chaotic and I was cracking up the whole time
i'm cackling at the biting the carrots i do that too
lmao the part about the fig butter looking like dookie made me laugh so hard, thank u for a great vid as always emily!
I never would've thought to add spinach to a rice bowl but I don't like nori (texture issues!) so that's such a great replacement option!! Do you make the rice for your bowls or eat leftover rice cold from the fridge?
I will never get over you cutting a lemon with scissors
it was the cucumber for me 😭😭
this voice-over goes so crazy ur being real silly with this one!!!
thank you for giving me inspa to make some rice bowls!!
Perfectly ripe banana spread on toast w/cinnamon & sprinkle of salt is FREAKING AMAZING. You're welcome 😊
Em did anyone else see tbe ghost fridge door close by itself around 26:25???????? 🙀

I like how you pronounce lettuce and onion. It made me chuckle
I cook the whole bag of chickpeas once and then freeze it in portions, just like have it in a can, in 5 min is ready to use, freeze it like flat you know?
Okay why was your voice over for this video especially funny!? LOL DOOKIE!
I always had to press and marinate tofu when I was a vegetarian and pan fry to be crisp or I could NOT eat it
I enjoy the video gives me inspiration when other ppl make vegan food
Thanks for the video, I really enjoy watching! Would you consider maybe doing a what I eat in a week based off the recipes of channels like Cheap Lazy Vegan, Well Your World, Krocks in the Kitchen? if you sprinkle some chocolate chips on that cinnamon sugar toast before you pop it in the air fryer it is a true treat
19:00 hahaha! try a bowl or casserole dish babe! haha!
I just love your dry humor.😅 that's why I subbed. Not that I'm vegan. Never would be
