As a Korean who frickin loves your channel - you're saying "Buldak" on point ❤❤❤ "bool-dahk" 잘했어요! Also wish I had extra sauces laying around for that 😭 Doenjang is best for soup/broth/stew! Common ingredients to add: squash/zucchini, mushrooms (enoki being my personal fave), tofu. It's like stronger miso!
Hellmann's is the best vegan mayo I've been able to find anywhere. I can't even tell the difference between the regular and plant based, my partner and I started using plant based while we were still finishing a jar of the regular and didn't know the difference at all. Before we went vegan, Duke's was our fave. It would be awesome if they came out with a plant based version.
if u liked the flavor of that curry, S&B makes a curry powder that u can buy and use to make a roux w flour and butter instead of using the blocks w palm oil- it's a couple extra steps but very yum and palm oil free!
you can buy japanese curry powder and make the roux part yourself and freeze them to avoid the palm oil! it's basically just that spice, flour, salt, and fat cooked into a paste, there are recipes online :)
I put balsamic glaze on like a lot of stuff, pasta, salads and even strawberries ( I know it sounds weird but it’s quite good)😅 It’s so funny when editing Emily comes and gives some comments here and there😂
Love these videos! Also! For the glaze you could toast some bread and use that bruschetta mix you have in that cabinet as well and put that on top too! (=
Little tip! I use my immersion blender (with the blades) to make whipped cream, and it works just like a hand mixer! Idk if it works the same for a vegan recipe, but with cream and powdered sugar it whips it right up as long as I’m making an up and down motion to get air on there.
Ooo you could try saving some of the pasta water next time, will help when you add them into the pesto sauce! As for the frozen fruit cubes, you could add them to baked dishes, pastries, oatmeal, melt them down and use the fruit puree to make mocha with glutinous rice powder. With the pesto's, I've been making pesto plates where i spread it on a plate with the back of a spoon and use different raw/roasted veggies to lay on top (roasted butter beans and leeks) and a good bread to swipe everything into my mouth orrrrr any sort of puff pastry with a pesto base/ filling with other ingredients. Ps. Omg just realised the buldak bottle comment was mine! I was sitting here applauding the commenter like "Great minds think alike"
tip for the balsamic glaze: try and use it on some bread, but you want the bread to be crispy, and then cheese, sun dried tomatoes and the glaze on top. it would be even better if the cheese was kind of a smoked one but idk if they make vegan cheese like that. I swear it's delicious
Ok I use balsamic glaze all the time. It goes in every Asian sauce I make for cooking tofu or those fake chicken or pork meat piece things?? in etc (my go to sauce is balsamic, soy, mushroom sauce, maple or brown sugar (or both cause the brown sugar gets all syrupy), worcestershire sauce, sweet chilli, maybe sriracha, a little olive oil and garlic). My fave meal to use it in is mix tofu with the sauce, bake it until crispy and then with leftover sauce you heat it in a pan and add cornstarch until it's thick, add the tofu in and then you have extra sauce and I put that on rice with buttered carrot ribbons and spinach and rocket (arugula) and all the toppings you want. If there's any leftover tofu and sauce, add it to a ramen bowl the next day. So good Also really good if you make a homemade ramen sauce. I also put it on avocado toast if I don't feel like hot sauce. And I never use regular vinegar for salads anymore, I use balsamic. It's so good in loads of things 😊 you can even add it to a tomato pasta sauce or chilli for an extra smth smth
Oooo. For the balsamic glaze- my favorite is making a fresh pico de gallo. I just scoop it up with a tortilla chip and drizzle some balsamic glaze on it before I shove it into my face hole. 🖤 It’s THE best.
I always make little toasties in the oven with bread a spread of mayo or hummus(garlic added), mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and balsamic drizzled on top with some black pepper. So good! You could use that balsamic glaze for that and even add some extra veggies
I love eating the balsamic vinegar glaze stuff on like roasted veggies esp. brussel sprouts! Maybe that's the obvious use lol but I feel like it would be good on a quinoa bowl with roasted veggies and spinach and stuff! Or as a lil something special on sandwiches?
Rostade veggies like broccoli is amaxing with that type of vinegar. I usally just rost them with salt, pepper and oil and then when service i drizzel the vinegar on it
Love love love! Re. Golden curry I usually buy schnitels and have them in place of katsu hehe, or the viet vegan has a really good tofu katsu recipe that I use when I can be bothered to fry stuff 🥰 would recommend
I put Balsamic glaze on everything! Avocado pairs well, and tomato ofc. I put it on my pizza, on salads. Even fruitsalats, it’s perfect with strawberries. The acid in general works with fatty foods, as it cuts the flavour 😊
i put balsamic glaze on basically everything when i have it. maybe i have weird taste but for example i'll have a baked sweet potato with sriracha, lemon pepper, and balsamic glaze on it. 10/10.
Emily, let me tell you of an absolutely delicious way to use condensed coconut milk. It’s a dessert from Lithuania that we call “the lazy one” because it is so simple to make. It’s not originally vegan, but it’s quite easy to veganize. You’d need: 400 grams of biscuits (your basic dry biscuits that don’t crumble too too much. Something like biscoff lotus biscuits or maybe graham crackers, but the latter I’m guessing as I’ve never tried those) 1 can or 400g of coconut condensed milk 200 grams of salted vegan butter (not spreadable margarine! The butter that comes in a block, wrapped in paper or foil-y wrapping. think traditional dairy butter vibes, otherwise the consistency will be off. Something like Flora vegan butter.) 5 tbsp good coco powder (or more) + optional handful of chopped pistachios 1. Break apart the cookies into small chunks, about the size of a fingernail. Don’t worry if some pieces are smaller, it’s gonna happen in the process. 2. In a separate pot on medium heat, melt the butter. Pour the condensed milk into it, and mix well. Add the coco powder, stir constantly until well incorporated and no dry bits remain. 3. Pour the coco mass on the crushed biscuits and mix to coat, so that the biscuits are more or less equally coated. Add pistachio at this stage if using. Let it cool as but so it’s not too hot to handle. 4. Pour the mass onto a plastic wrap and form a sort of cylindrical or sausage looking thing. I wanna say use 5 ish tablespoons of the mass per “sausage”. Wrap it tightly in the plastic wrap, and place in the fridge overnight. Next morning, take it out, slice and enjoy! It is a ugly looking dessert but it tastes incredible. I hope you get to try it. Much love! ☀️🌱
I love using the curry blocks for a katsu curry - Gaz from avant garde vegan has a great recipe. It's just great because you get the really comforting, thick curry with potatoes and veg and then the crispy tofu on top!
Use the balsamic glaze on strawberries with a few basil leaves! Also, you can put it on any kind of toast or sandwich (like with grilled veggies or obvsly anything with tomatoes) …
Really enjoy these as I have things I need to use up too. For Japanese curry, I like to use soy chunks from the Indian store as the 'meat'. Also I like balsamic glaze on avocado toast and pizza :)
idk if its too basic but i love making avocado toast with tomatoes and balsamic glaze i think its v tasty. i also use cream cheese on the toast a lot of the time, but that can can be omitted or adjusted (just adding that to maybe give ppl sum ideas). my mom also likes to put a bit of balsamic glaze on her pizza. so if u eve end up making a pizza with that Sicilian pesto, maybe try it with a bit of the glaze!
Most of the prepackaged Japanese curry roux brands use palm oil, but you can make your own at home with whatever vegetable oil, there are recipes online if you search "Japanese curry roux recipe." They freeze well.
Put the balsamic glaze on caprese! salad/sandwich/etc. I like to use it on other salads as well or even a very basic tomato on toast with some pepper and balsamic is an amazing snack
I LOVE wild blueberries too! I have such good memories of picking them with my family every summer :') I know not everyone can just go pick them but if you live in a place where you can, I highly recommend! if not, I recommend buying them frozen like emily has, those are still really delicious!
The buldak packets and hot sauce are good mixed with coconut milk, garlic powder, onion powder, sesame oil, a little mayo and sesame seeds. It sounds weird but it's so addictive on noodles.
Love the video! Sad note: I used to love Golden Curry brand but I learned one of their weird preserving ingredients isn’t vegan on the mild sauce version so that’s something to keep in mind.
Some really great ideas and tips, I like your cooking style! My life is inventing dishes with whatever ingredients I randomly bought! I probably would cook the lasagna sheets whole, then cut them into strips with scissors.
Use the balsamic glaze together with tahini on smoked tofu or tomatoes, Avocado and spring onion! And then put it on dark bread with some kind of spread! Its great :)
I haven't even finished the video, just wanted to say that that lasagna pasta hack looks amazing and I'm definitely going to try it. I love noodly noodles 😄
I've got an idea about the lasagne sheet noodles - would it work if you cooked the pasta sheets and then took scissors to them and cut them into long noodles so they didn't shatter? Would that work? I feel like it could 😅😂
I used those curry cubes all the time before I went vegan but the brand i used wasn’t vegan, so I tried to make it from scratch and it’s waaaaay better tbh 🥰 little bit of extra cooking time but not aloe tbh! Definitely worth a try 😄
I love how you alwaye say that your spice tolerance is low but I'm over here barely able to eat sriracha mayo😢😂 I use balsamic glaze on pumpkin soup, but I guess that's not a dish anyone eats quits often though.
I use the balsamic glaze on pizza most of the time. I know that some people do balsamic glazed chicken I wonder how that would translate into tofu? Like crispy tofu cutlets with balsamic glaze on it.
You should really give coconut milk powder a try, you just mix the amount you need with water and the rest doesn’t expire since its powder🌱🙈 also, balsamic glaze is really good on any salad, pizza, caprese salad or in wraps🥰
oooh, i'm going to use my lasagna noodles (for some reason i have several packs of lasagna noodles in my cabinet that i don't even remember buying??) to make something similar now. i think soaking them in water first would make them easy to just cut in half maybe?? c:
Yeah, this balsamic glaze somehow never expires. I put it on sandwiches, salad and pasta. Oh and maybe putting it on tofu would be good? Like frying the tofu and putting the glaze on the tofu in the pan as a final step. Could be used in all kinds of dishes
I think your coconut whipped cream failed because you added some of the liquid to it! and you're also meant to wait to add vanilla til the end I think - definitely try looking up an in depth tutorial online and I'm sure you'll get it next time!! love your vids 🩷🩷 Also I love using balsamic glaze on burgers and pasta! It's so good for an extra umami hit
When I saw the extra tres leches milk, I was hoping you would make arroz con leche! You should try making it! It’s delicious hot or cold as a dessert 🤤💕
My emily ewing internal clock was going off and now we are rewarded with a new video
Lmao I have that too 😭
Same!!

put the balsamic glaze into salad dressings and tomato sauces! adds a real nice depth and natural sweetness :)

emily your hair in the ad read/general video is looking sooooo goood
I use the frozen fruit cubes as ice cubes with sparkling water, nice refreshing drink, and not too sweet 😊
Oh man I laughed at that final little whipped cream attempt. Thank you for keeping it in the edit. Obsessed.
I love eating the balsamic vinegar glaze stuff on like roasted veggies esp. brussel sprouts! Maybe that's the obvious use lol but I feel like it would be good on a quinoa bowl with roasted veggies and spinach and stuff! Or as a lil something special on sandwiches?

i love balsamic glaze on avocado tost with chopped up cherry tomatoes! and everything bagel seasoning
for the balsamic glaze -- a white pizza with arugula and then top with the balsamic glaze??? so good
The frozen coconut condensed milk + the strawberries would make an amazing and super simple ice cream!
I put Balsamic glaze on everything! Avocado pairs well, and tomato ofc. I put it on my pizza, on salads. Even fruitsalats, it’s perfect with strawberries. The acid in general works with fatty foods, as it cuts the flavour 😊
I like to roast Brussels sprouts & add the balsamic glaze on top!
Thank you for another entertaining video!
I air fry the tofu and put it on the side and use the curry sauce/gravy as a dip for it to keep it crispy 😊
i put balsamic glaze on basically everything when i have it. maybe i have weird taste but for example i'll have a baked sweet potato with sriracha, lemon pepper, and balsamic glaze on it. 10/10.

i recommend using doenjang and gochujang to make a sauce called ssamjang, it’s great in lettuce wraps (ssam) or as a veggie dip!
The way I bought that exact red silicone ice mold a few weeks ago because I had leftover coconut milk that i wanted to freeze in 1/4 cup blocks 😂
idk if its too basic but i love making avocado toast with tomatoes and balsamic glaze i think its v tasty. i also use cream cheese on the toast a lot of the time, but that can can be omitted or adjusted (just adding that to maybe give ppl sum ideas). my mom also likes to put a bit of balsamic glaze on her pizza. so if u eve end up making a pizza with that Sicilian pesto, maybe try it with a bit of the glaze!

this was genuinely so inspiring, thank you
balsamic glaze is actually super good on avocado toast!
I drizzle a little balsamic glaze on like everything - pizza, salad, pasta, roasted veggies
Put the balsamic glaze on caprese! salad/sandwich/etc. I like to use it on other salads as well or even a very basic tomato on toast with some pepper and balsamic is an amazing snack
For the golden curry, I like using Gardein Turk'y cutlets to make vegan katsu curry since they have a breading on them already.
You could definitely make your version of lasagna soup with the leftover pasta noddles I saw on tiktok and it looks so good!
I LOVE wild blueberries too! I have such good memories of picking them with my family every summer :') I know not everyone can just go pick them but if you live in a place where you can, I highly recommend! if not, I recommend buying them frozen like emily has, those are still really delicious!

Best by dates are more for the company to sell more. They also only have to guarantee that it tastes the way they say it’s suppose to until that date
For your curry you could try lentils next time. They absorb the flavors super well.
Definitely recommend you Jazz up the golden Curry a bit more! We add garlic, ginger, ketchup, soy sauce, grated apple Etc
Love me some balsamic vinegar glaze. I sometimes put it on the meatless meatballs for a swedish meatball adjacent meal
try using some olive oil on cooked pasta after draining it so that it doesn't all stick together and is easier to mix in
i love balsamic glaze on roasted brussels sprouts!!
Those fruit cubes slowly melting into a glass of lemonade. Omg yes.
The best, really ❤
I love how you alwaye say that your spice tolerance is low but I'm over here barely able to eat sriracha mayo😢😂
I use balsamic glaze on pumpkin soup, but I guess that's not a dish anyone eats quits often though.
Balsamic glaze on salad with watermelon, some feta (there's probably some kind of vegan feta right?), and mint leaves. Delishhhh
You could make an inventory sheet to hang on inside door, so if a bottle is behind something else you’ll know it’s in there.
My mom puts balsamic on Brussel sprouts so vegetables seem like the good choice. Also Tofu✨
I love balsamic glaze on egg sandwiches and pastas
I re-use those bags as freezer bags for other foods. Wash them thoroughly and dry them for a second life in your kitchen.
You have inspired me to clean out my freezer~ thank you
any time you air fry veggies, air fry them with some balsamic glaze!! or just put it straight on top!!! balsamic glaze on top of broccoli is elite
I use the balsamic glaze on pizza most of the time. I know that some people do balsamic glazed chicken I wonder how that would translate into tofu? Like crispy tofu cutlets with balsamic glaze on it.
The wicked pesto, add more seasoning to it! & then use it to make one of those cheesy pesto stars

I love balsamic glaze on avocado toast.
Omg, I love balsamic glaze on pizza. Not sure if anyone has said it yet. Love ur videos 😊
Try the balsamic on one of your sandwiches!
Balsamic glaze is good on meatloaf !
I actually DO have a lot of those lasagna noodles left over that recipe idea looks so good! I also like to make stew with leftover lasagna noodles.
Frozen Wild blueberries are my favorite! I think they taste better too!
Yeah, this balsamic glaze somehow never expires. I put it on sandwiches, salad and pasta. Oh and maybe putting it on tofu would be good? Like frying the tofu and putting the glaze on the tofu in the pan as a final step. Could be used in all kinds of dishes

caprese salad for the balsamic glaze!
i think the lasagna in the tiktok was "no boil" lasagna! i always get them to make it easier to assemble lasagna and they're always flat
