2199$ seems legit for the basic version of the drone. Especially for the dual camera system and the amazing sensors. Production costs have raised a lot in China.
@@digwillhachi The ProRes license/option on my Inspire 2 with X7 was 500. I'm sure DJI steps on that but ProRes isn't free. I do however think the Cine version is about 1k too expensive. But then again the fly more kit is 3k the Cine adds the controller 1200, SSD, ProRes and ND's. Maybe 5k is where it should be priced.
Drones actually gain battery life when they're flying at a slight speed forward. Hovering with a GPS lock requires lots of little micro-adjustments that require opposing motors to ramp up and down quickly, plus the body of the drone generates a very small amount of lift while in motion.
I’ve watched at least 10 different videos on the Mavic 3, and this is by far the best and most honest review, all other reviews from RUclipsrs (Who are the only people that have had access to this drone) only repeat what DJI is advertising. This was a REAL review, and I really like your opinion/analysis on it being worth the upgrade. It’s not, at least not for most people. Thank you Landon!!
4/3” in math is being called as “four-thirds inches", and it is the exact same sensor size as “Micro Four Thirds” in the world of photography/videography. They are not two different sizes, so you actually spoke the right thing throughout the video! (4/3” sensor has a 2x crop factor from full frame, while 1” sensor is 2.7x cropped from full frame, so the hardware upgrade should be noticable) Great footages and great review as always Landon! i’m a FTF student for 3+ years and continually supporting everything you guys create!
Same size! Just didn’t realize (at least from my understanding) that MFT is a term from Olympus/Panasonic for a specific mount paired with the 4/3” sensor.
@@landonbtw I didn't know that either, I was wondering why you kept correcting the term by adding the text, but probably many people also don't know this and thinks that MFT AND 4/3" are the same thing
Personally I’d love going ProRes 422 in a drone - But yeah, that price point doesn’t make sense for my business. If I really need aerial shots, I am either grabbing it w an air2s… or hiring a drone guy for a pro shoot, flying an actual cinema camera. Great video btw👏👏✌️🖤
Thank you Landon, for being honest about it, and not just trying to sale something that is new and slightly improve. I don't think that the price justify the cost of this drone yes it's micro 4/3 sensor but it's not enough to sale this drone for that price.
You guys have been crushing it with all of these recent RUclips uploads! This was such a great unbiased review, plus it was so great to see Landon back up in the mix like he never left. I don't know how you guys do it, but FTF continues to get better and better by the year. Also for anyone wondering, their online course is 100% worth it. Thanks FTF!
How does this channel not have 1 Billion views? That is crazy to me! I need this drone. I just hired a kid and invested in his Mavic 2 Pro and then this week happened and this drone happened. 😡
Props to keeping it real. Pricing is pretty insane on this one, and even though I could afford the Cine, there’s no way in hell I’d pay that price for prores.
I wanna see a detailed review of the camera, because the old mavic 2 pro performed pretty bad in high dynamic range scenes when your shooting against the sun
Love the honesty here! Beautiful footage there too. I just wish some big youtuber would talk about the lack of a CE-rating. That is a HUGE deal if you want to fly within the EU
Love dji and the only drones for me . Its great to see that even though dji sent you one of their products to review you've actually said how it is / what you personally think of the Mavic 3 cine. Thanks for that 👏 👏 🇬🇧🇬🇧
DJI starting to reach the bell curve of how much people will actually pay for a mavic. I don’t see many people buying a 5k drone but the mavic3 base could still sell
I’m looking to buy this drone. The most important thing is image quality. In this 15 minute video there is 30 seconds of drone footage to help me decide if ProRes image quality is worth it.
That price is a bit extreme but besides that I have to say the Prores and m43 sensor makes it extremely attractive. That being said did you compare the prores low light to the 2s's low light? Prores is known for its lower noise. Based on some of the other reviews I have watched the low light prores footage looked amazingly and far better than any consumer drone footage I have seen to date. Prores HQ in a drone is definitely a huge deal. Thanks for the review and honesty about the battery life.
As a certified FAA drone operator, I’m amazed at so many violations of drone usage on RUclips. The fines are massive. I actually dislike the FAA rules which hinder creative use. Ever since I got my license, I rarely use my drone. It’s very unfortunate. Wish more drone videos would talk about the usage issues.
Thanks Landon for your honest review! I wanted to buy the cine version till i saw your video. Because of you i picked up the regular version of the M3 and i really like it. I am enhancing the footage in post and i probably cant see the difference. I am watching the fulltime filmmaker course atm and i LOVE the content. You guys are awsome.
I have owned the Mavic 3 Cine version for 3 months now and I love it. I am completely ok with the price due to tracking features and that it continues to get updated almost every month now. I think the quality is sensational and I almost want to use the Mavic more than my A7Siii. 1 TB SSD is clutch for people like me who are forgetful about SD cards. The pro controller is another beast on its own. I can post directly onto social media from the controller and I can live stream. I love to be able to my haters know I am on vacation in 5.1K Cine. LMAO The price is expensive but I think it's worth considering the resolution and flight times you are getting out of the device. I think it's a great travel professional monetized creator drone. Like if you make money on social media you can just consider this a business expense. If you just fly for fun get an Air2s for sure! but if you need 360 obstacle avoidance and great quality Mavic 3.
Great video. This may be random but is there any exposure settings to follow when shooting dlog on Mavic 3? The right exposure m.m/e.v or native iso? After I have seen the" right exposure settings when shooting in log3 Sony" I wondered if this is the same case? (I am a full time filmmaker member) is there something similar to do with the Mavic exposure? Trying to find this in the internet but no luck . Thank you

Does it come in a nice box? Trying to decide if it's worth selling my house for and will need a place to live after
hahahaha this comment is so underrated lol
Box will cost you extra 😏
It comes with a very nice bag. However, I bought a case for mine as well. I believe the video quality alone justified the purchase for me.
@@timmarkoja4310 it costed me extra 😏😏😏😏
Wow. They’ve got to be joking with those prices 🙄 I’ll stick to my Air2s.
You can't be serious if you thought it would be even close to Air 2S prices. This isn't in the same category, not even close.
the base model is ok but double just to shoot prores. They must be having a laugh lol.

The best thing about the whole video: The truth from FTF even if it’s paid AD.
Pretty sure (and by pretty sure I mean I know) paid ads need to be disclosed during a video.

Forget the footage from the drone. Let’s talk about the footage from the cameras used to film everything. Looked amazing! Great work Landon BTW.
wait... these review units can automatically blur faces? thats insane!!
That's what I was thinking: wait, it has face recognition now,
Might be a US Government requirement for chinese drone makers, just my guess
That got to be post production editing by FTF team. Im sure
My thinking was it may have been an initial thought to keep pilots from spying on people with that telephoto zoom 🤷♂️

The camera spec are insane. The best drone this year no doubt.
