3x lens is 70mm. Original Mavic 3 with two lenses isn't available anymore on DJI website. There is no need to have a full frame camera on a compact drone. The quality of the lens is what matters the most. For example OM-1 has a micro four thirds sensor and the image quality is stunning. I rather that a good MFT lens than a bad full frame lens, any day
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Strait raw information, exactly what's really interesting, professional attitude, and a good sense of humor too. Thanks.
Thanks for this. I waited for DJI to correct all its product management errors and I'm glad I did. I appreciate your rational approach to Normal/D-Log/D-Log-M as well.
You will never see full frame on a Mavic body. At a push they may be able to go up to aps-c but at this point its diminishing returns and extra focal lengths are more useful for most photographers and cinematographers than a slightly larger sensor. But you knew this when you said it and it got me to comment so you sir are a genius 😂 great vid

Your videos are always informative and entertaining. I know from everything I have learned from you that the Mini 3 Pro is all the drone I need. I share videos with my children and their families and having the videos running on the large digital frame in my home. But I love to fly as much as I like to capture images, and as a result, I want “just one more drone” before the angels come to take me away. (Age 74 and still quite agile.) Such a great quick ass tutorial :). Quick question… with latest firmware, can you use D-log or D-log M in quick shots? And will it let you use 24p? Or still only 30 and no d-log?
Awesome Video! Your videos are always informational with lots of great footage. I went to the DJI website and noticed that the original Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 cine are not in stock. So it looks like the lineup is the Mavic 3 Pro and the Mavic 3 Classic. With the pricing starting at $2199, it appears that DJI just replaced the original Mavic 3 line.

It means that I can't fly over people with the new Mavic 3 Pro, but I can with the other Mavic 3's. Anyways, I love your videos. Bye.

With the standard I felt a bit short-changed that all the marketing pushed the 5K spec; but then so many of the intelligent flight modes and features were locked-out leading to my shooting entirely in 4K. 5K would offer more flexibility for digital stabilization and re-framing with Point of Interest orbiting shots in particular this would be ideal. If anyone could clarify this I would hugely appreciate it.

Thank you so much, you will love the mini 3, way less stressful and much quieter. They will all be pretty noisy and drive up anxiety as soon as it’s 100 feet away and you’re in public, but the mini 3 is a lot less big of a deal. Would you say the inspire 3 is a good purchase? I would use all of the features, but I’m curious as to if something better will come out in the future.
Of course something better will come in the future but it won't be from DJI, anytime soon. If your business model can justify the price then go for it. If you have that kind of money to spend then maybe also consider the Sony Airpeak or Freefly to get away from geofencing. They would also give you more camera and lens options then the inspire 3.
Great review once again. What version of Android does the Pro Controller run? I hope it's at least 11 or 12. As a backup controller, can this connect to an RC-N1? I really like my smartphone.

Yeah Prores makes huge files, it's all I frames so each frame contains 100% of the information. This also makes for much easier editing because all the information is available in each frame. With 1 TB of storage you can still record a couple + hours of Prores 4K, totally worth it in my opinion. Love your videos! Cheers man 🍻

You always talk about the two batteries being enough @QuickAssTutorials . I am doing a Roadtrip in a Van for the Van Company soon and I have two Mavic 3 Classic batteries now. Are you sure that those are going to be enough? I might need to do a few short hikes and I have no idea if the car battery can take it if we are charging 2 mavic 3 classic batteries at night and 4 air2s batteries. (+all the Sony Camera batteries) Some insight would be great!
Mavic 3 Classic runs for 46 minutes, if you are driving you will be okay. But the mavic 3 needs a 65w charger at least, you can't have a regular USB-C phone charger in there. Find a USB-C 65w car adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter on amazon, or if you have an AC outlet in the car like a regular wall outlet, you can just use that. Charge it while the car is running by the way. Its your call but I would only take 2, but my hikes aren't 8 hours long so idk.
You can try the anker 737 battery pack. It will charge the Mavic at 65 watts through usb-c and it's portable. I use it to charge my macbook pro if I'm not near an outlet.
I use drones for my work and every so often I need to fly a roadway project with waypoints, before and after construction on the same flight path. I’m still confused from what I’ve seen if the mavic 3 including these will do waypoints. Ideally Litchi would be able to fly them as it has some built in features to visualize the flight before getting out in the field. Any input on the status of waypoints? I really don’t want to commit to the enterprise lineup if I don’t have to
Awesome and Pro video ! 2 questions: - Does the main d-logM - mode work at ISO 100 ? ( D-log started at ISO 400 in Mavic 3 ) - How much the gimbal upward tilting abilility has changed ? ( since the head is way bigger ) Thanks !
Very similar just brighter, and it is a bit sharper. DJI mentioned “better background compression” but I didn’t get to ask what specifically that meant to look for because they were busy and it was launch time
Your reviews are fantastic, all the meat and potatoes without the fluff. Personally I only need a true full frame sensor for those early dawn, twilight, and night shots. I am not interested in any telephoto lenses, if I want to get a zoomed image/closer image I can just fly the drone closer to what I am trying to capture and get a higher quality image from the significantly higher quality full frame sensor. When shooting Dlog you go by that sensors ISO, like what it operates at naturally. Like if a car had a gear that’s most fuel efficient It seems funky but it’s the cleanest don’t worry. Again you want to shoot a bit brighter on the exposure meter as well I use normal mode all the time, dlog is for when a client requested it or a REALLY crazy lighting situation like Morter fire in the rain during sunset Dlog takes practice too, easy to mess up coloring. I’d just stick to normal

Great info. Does prores have better motion cadence than more compressed formats? I have noticed I do get less than smooth movement across frame with h.265
Finally the Mavic 3 we were supposed to have to begin with (especially for the price they asked) Only thing is considering the price of pro res, why not make it optional just like in the inspire, not everyone need pro res or even use it when available. I've been working with huge file for a long time but it's not always worth it. How many times I had to do a small shoot or even a personal project with my 1dxII and filming with it was fine but the codec was just horrible like prores.. Sure you could extract every single frame from the video file but how many times did I use that feature in like 5 or so years? Once. And if I didn't have it that would have been just fine. So yeah prores, make it optional, especially if you don't work on a Mac, chances are you won't use it. And if you have a big prod well you'll just add it as an option, simple as that
Great Video - Great Training Course also, I am a fellow subscriber. Thanks for all the effort you put into your work. Informative AND enjoyable, tough combo but you pull it off --- tactfully
5.1k 4/3” normal camera is f2.8
3x .77” sensor 77mm equivalent - f2.8
7x 1/2” sensor 166mm equivalent - f3.4

How many times I had to do a small shoot or even a personal project with my 1dxII and filming with it was fine but the codec was just horrible like prores.. Sure you could extract every single frame from the video file but how many times did I use that feature in like 5 or so years? Once.
And if I didn't have it that would have been just fine.
So yeah prores, make it optional, especially if you don't work on a Mac, chances are you won't use it. And if you have a big prod well you'll just add it as an option, simple as that
Well I think the Fly more Combo will be the same except for the ProRes right? The 1TB SSD can be easily replaced by two 500GB MSDC. No?
how is it the "king" if you cannot fly it at any height or any place?
What? This is probably the dumbest comment Ive ever seen.
Great Video - Great Training Course also, I am a fellow subscriber. Thanks for all the effort you put into your work. Informative AND enjoyable, tough combo but you pull it off --- tactfully
