This is brilliant! This has completely rid me of the fear of free-motion quilting. The use of the cut out for creating negative space is mind-blowing! Thank you so much!
What a great idea. I use freezer paper for piecing but never thought about using it for the top stitching shapes. I will definitely give this a try. Thanks for sharing!
I use freezer paper cut into geometric shapes or gentle curved shapes to quilt around using my walking foot with excellent results. Good when you want to quilt but havent yet got fmq in your tool box.
Can you explain how you set up the machine to do that quilting.? I keep getting those butter fly wings (I think they are called that) on the back of my quilt. Do you have to change needles or the tension? Thanks for the help
Great idea! But we got to watch you cut out the entire motif, which was 3/4 the video. And not even a glimpse of what it looked like when complete...sad face
She kept going back and forth between wax and freezer paper. They are 2 different things. If you used wax paper it would not stick. Freezer paper has a PLASTIC coating and that's what melts a little and sticks. Hope this was helpful.

Great idea! I'm looking to start small and this looks like it will be very useful. Thank you! ❤

Genius
Why not print from straight from computer or tablet onto freezer paper
It isn’t wax. Wax would be disastrous on your quilt. Its a plastic layer that doesn’t leave a residue when removed.
What foot are you currently using? It didn’t look like a free motion quilting foot, feed dogs down?

Hello Customer,
Thank you for your feedback. It has been forwarded onto the proper department.
Thanks!
Wax would make a mess of your fabric. This has a plastic side and a paper side.
Don't waste time having people watch you cut.
Template was releasing itself, didn't work too well. Sorry. I felt like I wasted my time, never got to see any results.
We're so sorry to hear this. This is different than the feedback we have heard from others. We appreciate hearing from you!
