Praying he stays with Feyenoord, both for himself and for our chances in the UCL next season. @@vkdeen7570 But Man United will be playing UEFA league, and Feyenoord Champions League. Money is not everything in life. One or two extra years in the Dutch competition will only make him stronger and more adult as player. After that he will still be young and more ready for a Liga A or Premier League. To many kids leave at young age for those two strongest competitions, they fail and their career is ruined.
I can give you more than fifty players who left the Dutch competition at young age, from who we don't hear anything anymore.

the premier league is such a standard, so beyond the Dutch league that playing most weeks there is undoubtedly better for development. better players better coaches better opposition.. the best breeds the best
we see how much gakpo and Antony are initially struggling, but now, they are slowly making more and more impact. by next season and after they'll be so much better players because of it

Goede analyse, Eredivisie is een competitie waar je makkelijk kan scoren maar als je goed op Gimenez let dan zie je dat het geen zomaar speler is, hoe hij een bal aanneemt op zijn voet of borst met spelers dicht op hem is een spitsen kwaliteit opzich, dat heb je of heb je niet. En een afmaker/goaltjesdief.
Laat hem nog een seizoen ontwikkelen en kijken hoe goed hij eigenlijk is.

Portugal is barely an upgrade from the Dutch league. I hope he stays for another year and show himself for a full season with Champions League next year. The Premier League is extremely difficult and you really have to make the right choice in club. I hope he will go to any of the Italian top teams or Spanish teams right below Barca and Madrid when he leaves Feyenoord.

Eredivisie at the moment is top 6 of best leagues in Europe, close behind number 5 France and above Portugal.
Lets see what Benfica gonna do against Inter..well Benfica lost.
The Portugese and Dutch leagues are almost equal.
You cant be 100% confident that Benfica, FC Porto, Braga and Sp.Portugal are so much better and will outplay Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV, AZ with eazy.
With the championship incoming, CL money, Feyenoord is in a good spot.
There are way more possibilities they are going to sale Kokcu for around 30/40M and maybe Geertruida.
There is no rush for Feyenoord to sale Santiago + he got a contract till 2026.
If there is a club who wants to buy Santiago, they need to pay big money.

best comment here, you put that guy in the right in his spot, he regards the portugese (unfairly) as a better competition then the eredivisie which is flat out wrong, they are prettymuch equal if not the eredivisie even better (if we look at recent years), just look at sparta alone this year, they would perform well in the portugese league and that says a lot considering not many people have this club regarded as a good club if they are born after 1960

The whole of feyenoord wants to do better and get results in the champions league. It is an obligation from a sportsmanships perspective after doing well in the conference league and the europa league.

Giménez is young and he can play Champions League with Feyenoord next season. They played the final of the Conference league last season, and who knows ... it is well possible that they will again achieve the final of a European Cup this season ? His current coach knows how to improve him as a player, so why leave ? He could go to England or Spain, where he would become the second or third player on a certain position... but he would make more progress as a player if he stays where he currently is. So many players leave at a young age and fail, just because certain clubs keep on buying for a few hundred million Euro's on new players each year.
Okay, yes he could earn a bit more. But is money everything in life ? If he performs well in the Champions League those same clubs will still want him, or even better clubs will want him too.
It is Giménez his decision, and everyone will respect that, but he has more to gain with Feyenoord at this moment.

"What if he doesn't do well next season" well then he doesn't belong in a better league yet, does he? Too many players leave too early causing them to fail and ultimately 'ruin' their carrier. Even if he does have a total off season, Feyenoord wouldn't write him off since he already proved himself. If he doesn't perform in a better league, lets say the premier league with a new team then he puts himself in an awkward position.

The dude on the right misses a couple of points and a big one is that if you don’t go as a big name to a big club and if you don’t score the first 3 matches 10 min play time you are out. Dutch clubs european ranking is 6, 2 CL tickets and Santi is going to play CL where he can prove himself at a club that knows he will and must move on and has all the best intrest in him on the long term.
