Im Dutch, and Gimenez is fantastic. I've seen many big strikers in the Eredivisie like Ibrahimovic, Luis Suarez, Van Nistelrooy, Huntelaar, Van Persie and I think Gimenez can be as good as them!

I think Cuah is hating. No one is overhyping Santi at all , the man is just backing his performances. 7 games 12 goals 2 assist at the moment. Last season he had 15 goals in 32 games , that’s a big jump in numbers. If this man scores 30+ goals this season alone , he’ll definitely be the prospect we all think he is. Cuah has never been to Europe and thinks he knows what he’s saying 🫠

But players like Ronaldo, Zlatan, Van Persie, Suarez etc succeeded in Eredivisie a long time ago now. Let's be real here. Most of the young top scorers from the last 10-12 years failed outside of Eredivisie. Vincent Jansen, Castaignos, Altidore, Matavz, Finnbogason and Bony (except for first season in Swansea) have this in common. Sure, some attackers also had decent records in other leagues, but haven't seen many of those super strikers since Suarez left Ajax. With all that said, I think Gimenez can be an exception. It's still hard to tell. He is playing in a team dominating the league (with PSV atm) and he fits in very well in the system Feyenoord plays, has player around him he connects with really well etc. Really hope he is going to make it!

The Netherlands have always produced top players and that just doesn't happen in a league which is "not competitive". Check out their national squad and how many of them came up in the Eredivisie and keep in mind they're only a nation of 17 mio ppl...
The Liga MX and the Erediviese have 18 teams each. If you were to combine the two leagues to draw the 20 richest teams per player pay this is the result:
🇲🇽 Liga MX - 13 teams
🇳🇱 Erediviese - 7 teams
A move to the Erediviese would have served him better to regain his scoring instincts because it's defenses are nowhere as strong as the Premier.

Remember guys hes not your typical Mexican player mainly because he was born in Argentina and raised by an Argentininan family and has a father who played pro. Yes he grew up in a mexican culture but he is different he seems more focused and professioinal than your typical weak minded mexican player !! He isnt partying and drinking booze every weekend and he is christian and very in tune with his religion and this could be the difference. I could care less if hes not really mexican etc but he came from mexican academy and raised in mexico and talks like a mexican.

Well let's put this into perspective. In the Mexican national team you have players like antuna that don't pass him the ball. I mean look at the game, 75 percent of the time they skip him. They don't pass him the ball and he's a team player. Even Raul does that at times. So we are compering pears to apples.
What does national team have to do with what he achieving at his club. I can give you a list full of players who do really well in Club level than in the national team.

Blanco is correct, the Dutch league is neither challenging nor really testing, the same could be said about the Mexican league though, which means that Blanco is also incorrect, Gimemez is very young and moved to a foreign continent, country and league and he is leaving a mark, not everybody was able to do that. He deserves some credit; people saw something in him and he is proving them right. As an Inter Milan fan, I'd be delighted if he'd joined my team.
