Honestly, I love that Dark Pit isn't just evil, cuz that would be way too easy to write. Being created by a magic mirror as the exact opposite of Pit, and it turns out that the opposite of Pit isn't evil and is just a lone wolf curmudgeon. And if you think about it,,, yeah that is the opposite of Pit, considering Pit is the general of Palutena's army, so he would have to be used to working together with others.
@Ironwolf 1 I think the mirror of truth work like it said on the tin. palutana said it reflect want on one's soul and the one thing pit yearns more than ever is his own freedom and independence. pit wish to fly by himself and with that ability he can go where ever he wanted with no restriction, unlike the gift of flight that last 5 min and is an on-rails experience. the mirror reflect that and made entity that represent the desire in it pure raw form.

The lyrics in this song are very accurate to Dark Pit. He isn’t really evil, just the exact opposite of Pit. The lyrics represent that, since they sound like a warrior for a kingdom or person who’s fed up with being used like a pawn and wants to be just a loner. That’s really the exact opposite of Pit, so good job with the lyrics! And amazing vocals as always!
I love how this fits with Dark Pit’s backstory. He was created by Pandora to kill Pit using a magic mirror. He is the embodiment of Pit’s inner darkness. I love how well Alex’s baritone voice fits so well with the tone of the music.
I love how the game’s soundtrack incorporates lyre music mostly because the instrument originated in Greece, where Uprising takes place. Nintendo really did their research on this series and it deserves more popularity.
This was great. I remember playing uprising a long time ago, and this was one of my favorite tracks in the game. The lyrics fit the character, as it fit with how he’s Dark pit, not evil pit. He’s an edgy boi who doesn’t follow anyone if he doesn’t want to, as apposed to Pit who does basically anything the person helping him tells him (more or less). And Alex is a great singer as always Plus whoever was playing the gameplay footage was pretty good.
@@orangeleaf2056 yeah definitely the Smash part. I play as Dark Pit a lot in Smash but I can't do short hops very well so I'm lazy with learning combos. I rely on reading my opponent and grabs mostly.

People may wonder why the meter was brought down from 7.1 to 6.1 at the beginning. It just hit me that it suits Dark Pit perfectly. He's not an "infernal" type of enemy but nor is he in the range of "heatin' up". Extra Spicy suits the music and how Dart is, as the description states, an edgy boi. He tries hard, but he's not quite as impressive as he wants to come off as. That's how I see it anyways.
Then again. There is usually "Nothing Harder" than fighting a superior copy of yourself, which is exactly what Dark Pit was. He could fly on his own, he hit MUCH harder than Pit with any of his weapons, not to mention he was (and still very much is) WAY smarter than Pit since he values arenas where his weapon of choice is at it's strongest. Like a closed in cramped space where he can take full advantage of his Ogre Club to rip you to shreds without giving you any space to run from the club itself, or it's MASSIVE charged shots. Or on a mountian range where he can safely shoot you with the Dark Pit Staff while you can't hit him with anything save for the longest ranged weapons in the game (a.k.a anything that either has just as much, if not, more range than it like the Laser Staff or Earthmaul Club). Or during the final encounter in chapter 6 where he waits on a collection of floating platforms seemingly designed to be unwieldy to those who can't fly or jump very well, especially with how easy it is to accidentally fall off of one while dodging attacks from Dark Pit. This is something Dark Pit abuses the absolute hell out of, since again, he can fly, while you can't.

Sketching Calamity the only people who forgot this game never played it. This game has a really great story, lore, and most importantly 4th wall breaks that don’t entirely feel forced. And we get one of the best lines from it, and that is Pit: MADAY THIS LOOKS LIKE ITS THE EEEEND! MY ONLY REGRET IS I NEVER LEARNED HOW TO REEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAD!

Oh man that was such a fun bop. I'd never heard this song before, but I'm a sucker for those edgy bois who have been burned by the authority. Then again I'm also a sucker for fallen angel imagery and metaphorical concepts. Which were abundent in the lyrics and I loved them so much. They also did a great job of getting across dark pit's motivations even to someone who has little knowledge of the game, with the footage from (I'm guessing it's uprising since it isn't the smash stuff XD) the game help and it's subtitles fill in the rest of the conflict from pit's angle. Def gonna listen more. I love your original lyrics

It's super cheap for a game honestly, and it's not very short either at about a 30 hour average, and if this song didn't prove it the story and ost is awesome! You can judge the gameplay from the clips shown, this is from chapter 9 which is pretty early on too so it gets much more complicated and only has one boss everyone hates^^;;

Mashed Potato Time and again Pit goes on about wishing for freedom. Dark Pit is that wish given individuality. That's where their similarities end. The mirror of truth forfilled Pit's wish by creating a copy that isn't as easily manipulated as Pit is. I just wish Hades wasn't the villain. In Greek mythology, he isn't nearly as bad as the other gods. Heck, Zeus is worse than Hades.

This is amazing simply because it’s clearly inspired by the melody but it doesn’t solely follow the melody. Most fanmade lyrical adaptations of instrumental songs like this don’t get creative outside of the words itself.

I love this song, I have the no lyrics version on in the smash menu and I often sing the lyrics I remember. Also dark pit is my main in smash so I love this even more.
Understand that this song is basically Dark Pit saying “I'm surrounded by idiots”. Dark Pit has to live in a world where the gods and goddesses are pretty much amoral beings who do morally dubious or even outright reprehensible deeds. Heck, even when regarding Palutena's Army, Dark Pit is arguably the relatively normal one compared to Pit (since he's not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer) and even Palutena herself (since it is implied several times in Uprising that she wasn't always the kindest goddess around). At this point, you can't really blame Dark Pit for not wanting to associate with the others since he had to put up with so much throughout his entire debut game.
Great job! I love this theme song and Dark Pit is my favorite character in this game. I just like the evil doppelganger to the main character better than the main character himself/herself. This is one of those cases.

Kid Icarus Uprising was an excellent game. I’ve never played it, but from what I’ve seen, it’s a fine addition to the 3DS library, and if not a sequel, then a port for the Switch. As for the cover, great job! I loved it. I want to see more like this.

To this day, the line "DAMN THE GODS" still goes hard. This was proof that Nintendo was MOTI's true calling.
I love how the game’s soundtrack incorporates lyre music mostly because the instrument originated in Greece, where Uprising takes place. Nintendo really did their research on this series and it deserves more popularity.
This was great. I remember playing uprising a long time ago, and this was one of my favorite tracks in the game. The lyrics fit the character, as it fit with how he’s Dark pit, not evil pit. He’s an edgy boi who doesn’t follow anyone if he doesn’t want to, as apposed to Pit who does basically anything the person helping him tells him (more or less). And Alex is a great singer as always
Plus whoever was playing the gameplay footage was pretty good.

@@orangeleaf2056 yeah definitely the Smash part. I play as Dark Pit a lot in Smash but I can't do short hops very well so I'm lazy with learning combos. I rely on reading my opponent and grabs mostly.

Well this game is horrendously underrated in my opinion, I'm sure barely anyone knows it exists, I know I found them both in smash and then looked up their game, but this song fits pittoo so much!! It conveys his motivations so much! After seeing it wasn't a troll I just expected something going over his inferiority complex as that's what most remember about him and would have been fine with that but damn was this an amazing surprise!!

I've been dying to see a new Kid Icarus game for Switch. I think it would do very well.
People may wonder why the meter was brought down from 7.1 to 6.1 at the beginning. It just hit me that it suits Dark Pit perfectly. He's not an "infernal" type of enemy but nor is he in the range of "heatin' up". Extra Spicy suits the music and how Dart is, as the description states, an edgy boi. He tries hard, but he's not quite as impressive as he wants to come off as.
That's how I see it anyways.
Or just a gag of calling the song "spicy." But that's a really cool way of seeing it.
Or the player just wanted to play on an easier difficulty.

or perhaps, and here me out here, they just wanted to get good footage without having to struggle and die.
Then again. There is usually "Nothing Harder" than fighting a superior copy of yourself, which is exactly what Dark Pit was. He could fly on his own, he hit MUCH harder than Pit with any of his weapons, not to mention he was (and still very much is) WAY smarter than Pit since he values arenas where his weapon of choice is at it's strongest. Like a closed in cramped space where he can take full advantage of his Ogre Club to rip you to shreds without giving you any space to run from the club itself, or it's MASSIVE charged shots. Or on a mountian range where he can safely shoot you with the Dark Pit Staff while you can't hit him with anything save for the longest ranged weapons in the game (a.k.a anything that either has just as much, if not, more range than it like the Laser Staff or Earthmaul Club). Or during the final encounter in chapter 6 where he waits on a collection of floating platforms seemingly designed to be unwieldy to those who can't fly or jump very well, especially with how easy it is to accidentally fall off of one while dodging attacks from Dark Pit. This is something Dark Pit abuses the absolute hell out of, since again, he can fly, while you can't.

Oh man that was such a fun bop. I'd never heard this song before, but I'm a sucker for those edgy bois who have been burned by the authority. Then again I'm also a sucker for fallen angel imagery and metaphorical concepts. Which were abundent in the lyrics and I loved them so much. They also did a great job of getting across dark pit's motivations even to someone who has little knowledge of the game, with the footage from (I'm guessing it's uprising since it isn't the smash stuff XD) the game help and it's subtitles fill in the rest of the conflict from pit's angle.

It's super cheap for a game honestly, and it's not very short either at about a 30 hour average, and if this song didn't prove it the story and ost is awesome! You can judge the gameplay from the clips shown, this is from chapter 9 which is pretty early on too so it gets much more complicated and only has one boss everyone hates^^;;

Mashed Potato Time and again Pit goes on about wishing for freedom. Dark Pit is that wish given individuality. That's where their similarities end. The mirror of truth forfilled Pit's wish by creating a copy that isn't as easily manipulated as Pit is.
I just wish Hades wasn't the villain. In Greek mythology, he isn't nearly as bad as the other gods. Heck, Zeus is worse than Hades.

Understand that this song is basically Dark Pit saying “I'm surrounded by idiots”.
Dark Pit has to live in a world where the gods and goddesses are pretty much amoral beings who do morally dubious or even outright reprehensible deeds. Heck, even when regarding Palutena's Army, Dark Pit is arguably the relatively normal one compared to Pit (since he's not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer) and even Palutena herself (since it is implied several times in Uprising that she wasn't always the kindest goddess around).
At this point, you can't really blame Dark Pit for not wanting to associate with the others since he had to put up with so much throughout his entire debut game.
The relatable intake of this is skyrocketing.

Kid Icarus Uprising was an excellent game. I’ve never played it, but from what I’ve seen, it’s a fine addition to the 3DS library, and if not a sequel, then a port for the Switch. As for the cover, great job! I loved it. I want to see more like this.

I come back to this song...a lot, something about it stuck with me from the moment I heard it. There's just this energy to the lyrics that I can feel in my soul.
It was also my gateway into being a huge Dark Pit fan.
