@@pkmntrainerred4247 Fun fact: when he met Samus as a child, she offered him a flower, and in return, he killed the entire colony, making sure to, and taking pleasure in, kill Samus' parents in front of her. There's a manga where it's revealed that he takes the fact Samus survived personally, that's right, he considers the fact he missed a child while wiping out an entire colony to be an insult! So yeah. Psychopath might be too nice a term.

This voice actually works well as Ridley's. Just human-like enough to portray his intelligence and cunning, but animalistic as well, showing his vicious nature and love of destruction and conquest.
Alex's just got that perfect villain voice
The concept of this monstrous being intelligent intrigues me.Its one of the reasons I like Ridley. It seems that people kind of fear having something more intelligent than them because most humans have the desire to be in control. This is one thing that make Ridley do terrifying.
To me it sounds like Meta Ridley is singing with the more machine like voice he has

I used to wonder why the Space Pirates didn't do much pirating, then it hit me. When Ridley took over, they weren't just pirates. They were a personality cult for Ridley. This is a violent psychopath that took over a species of dangerous but simple-minded (i.e. stupid) pirates to use as a vehicle for more carnage. It only makes sense that he'd ally himself with the omnicidal Mother Brain. Her goal is Ridley's pastime; death.

Ridley screeching violently while a choir sings in the background is exactly what I was hoping for and I love it.
It really does help to emphasise that he's called a god in the Metroid series and it feels like the Space Pirates are the ones singing as his loyal followers prepared to devastate the cosmos on his behalf at any moment.

What makes Ridley one of the best Nintendo villains is that he is not a simple animalistic creature with no complex thoughts, he is an extremely smart psychopath who takes delight on the acts he commits.
And every time Ridley comes back to life...

I hope more people see that krools personality isnt a cartoonier version of Bowsers, and that Ridleys personality is more than mr. Killer dragon evil.
I'm remembering Ridley in the origin story manga had a soft spot for cute things...and it didn't make him any less terrifying as he expressed it while watching a burning town and inhaling its smoke. And he ate Samus's mother only moments later. Its showed he can go from a normal person to his more well known self the instant he has a target that's not beneath his pride to give attention to.

I think he was just bullshitting Samus and was relishing the fact that with how cute Samus was, her suffering would be even better.

I love that Ridley isn't just a random dragon that destroys and has no free will, nah Ridley knows damn well what he is doing, he could have been a protector of the galaxy, but he BATHES in suffering.

Ridley does nothing of the sort. It is not part of his biology, it is sadism in his purest form. While the space pirates goal is "supreme domination", i think it is akin to wiping everyone else out, considering Mother Brain and Ridley are their leaders.

I don't know. None of his game sounds sre ever really deep. Their high-pitched and kind of scratchy. First thing that comes to mind is the ubholy screech he has in Fusion.

The choir is just... hypnotic. The chant of “All scream out their final breath, to the Cunning God of Death” was mesmerizing in a way all too fitting for Ridley. The exact thing he tells himself and his crew, especially when he takes his victims. “Blood and gore, by the score, falling to the Dragon’s roar.”
I think one of my favorite parts of this is just how breathlessly *exhilarated" he is in this. It's exactly the level of edge I expect anything involving Ridley, but that extra little addition makes it all the more perfect.
Exactly why it's so perfect as a Ridley voice. This isn't a job for him, a hired hit, or just cleaning up some witnesses or whatever. All that implies a purpose, or justified reason for it.

I love how they really drive home how much of a highly intelligent psycho Ridley is by the fact he sounds happy on some lines
I guess Ridley was just too big to properly fit into Smash Bytes, and needed his own song as such.
Now that I've taken the low hanging fruit, gotta say that these lyrics really do capture the energy and fury that Ridley's theme has. Just really drives home exactly why he got the nickname of "Cunning God of Death".

@@ocatelix288 Chara didn't wipe out universes, they erased it, killing no one. Besides, the Genocide route in Undertale only involves killing about 100 monsters. Ridley does genocides and wiped out multiple entire planets. I am pretty sure each planet consists of about at least 10 million inhabitants, while Chara kills 100 monsters each reset. Chara will have to reset about a million times to even get a fraction of Ridley's kill count.

I know I’m a bit late but I love how as the song continues, Ridley sounds more like more aggressive and monster (which he is both physically and metaphorically) A nice touch as he gets more sinister, great songs as always!
