My immense bias towards bats makes me feel bad for Antasma though, he seemed to have zero intent on ditching Bowser yet he got done dirty :/

@@chadpeterson5698 It's like the writers wanted people to THINK Antasma would betray Bowser, just to reveal that Bowser had the same thing in mind for him.

Rip alpha dream seriously theyve done an amazing job with the series this fight was my absolute favorite cause of bowser finally remembering luigis name showing luigi has gained bowsers respect to acknowledge him
Hey, ignoring how this is Mario, Luigi, and bowser at the very peak of their power, I would like to point something out. This man could summon an army of titans if he wanted to, but he summoned his own minions because he had so much faith in them, and that’s really sweet to me.
1:21 My FAVORITE part. It's like while he speaks, another bowser appears and finishes his sentences, and vice versa, culminating in both going "SO SAYS BOWSER ". Like both the powrt and anger from his defeats are overflowing and EXPLODING
This was incredible. I used to think Dream Team was just the game where Luigi multiplied. I didn't realise it had such an epic finale. Way to perform, Juno.
Loved the sonic Juno! Its been a blast listening too your songs throughout the year now let's keep on going through 2022! Happy anniversary and much love too you! 🤞🏾❤🖤
In my opinion: THIS is the true ending to Mario and Luigi. The bros against a godly Bowser capable of ripping the world apart. Paper Jam just feels like a spin-off compared to this.
Across the board, it's a great song, but the lines "so says Bowser" and "let's-a beat Bowser" in particular stand out as the best to me. Great job on it!
That line about Bowser being god feels so real. He know that he is at his most powerful, he has the most power that he has ever had, and you can feel it when you fight him. Four of my six total game overs in my most recent playthrough were to him alone, one of the others being to Antasma just before him, and the last to one time I fucked up really bad during a normal fight, but my point is that he is a god in this moment. He has the power, the confidence, the imagination, he has it all. Only the bros can defeat him, because of their strong bond. That's the only thing Bowser is missing. Mario and Luigi are the dream team, the perfect duo, the guys who can absolutely destroy Sephiroth (if you say otherwise you're wrong), and it's all because of their brotherly love. It's the one thing Bowser doesn't truly possess. He may appreciate his minions, Kamek might always be by his side, Bowser says that he loves Princess Peach, but he doesn't really love any of them. Even the underlings that he openly admits did a great job are just a means to an end for him. He is a Mario with no Luigi. He has no one to be his equal, to love and support him, he fights for himself, and himself only. This is why he loses. The brothers win not through only sheer power, not just with the tools that they have, not because they are incredibly skilled fighters, but because they love the people around them. They fight not for themselves, they would give everything if it meant that the people around them got to live happily. It is through not sheer force, not their power, not the desire to be the strongest, but through the bros' love for the world that they live in.
To add to my point, you might've noticed that Luigi says: "Now OUR dream shall come true!" While Bowser says: "Now MY dream shall come true!", which further proves my point that Bowser only cares for himself, and what he gains, while the bros fight for each other, and the world that they care for. (Obviously this isn't in the game, but this slight change in tone is very important.)
As much as I prefer Bowser's Inside Story's In The Final, there's something beautifully haunting about the melody in Adventure's End. It's like it combines the epic stakes of In The Final, with the desperation of The Final Battle from Partners in Time. And yet somehow, a cover of this would fele empty with Juno's signature Boston accent Bowser. Even with all this power he's the same old Bowser, boasting his power, swept up in his godlike abilities sure, but still obsessed with beating the bros. 2:22 Also the inclusion of When You Wish Upon a Star from Pinnochio is perfect.
Not only is Luigi taking the lead in the song against bowser, but you even found a way to work in "Wish upon a star" Happy new year, Juno. Starting us off right.
"When you wish upon a star. Makes no difference who you are." part has a meaning 🤔😃. Wishing upon a star about a dream isn't going to change you 🙂. You have to make a dream a reality and to fight for the dream and not wishing upon a star😌. We got to make to magic happen 😃.
Love the love "your very essence will be owned" bc like it's powerful yeah but it's also Bowser straight up saying "Imma beat yo ass so bad the stardust you're made of ain't gonna be able to recover"
Mario’s been in the god killer club since Legend of the Seven Stars when he fought (And defeated) Culex, who, according to the original Japanese version of that game is “formed from the supreme power matched by none,” holds time from its beginning to its end and possesses power over all of creation
Club members (Feel free to add some you know of by replying!): Kirby, Mario, Luigi, The Knight, like every single final fantasy protagonist, Pit, Kratos, Bowser, Peach, Mallow, Geno, sonic, shadow, essentially all persona protagonists, most fire emblem protagonists, Link, Shang Tsung, Lui Kang, Raiden, Shao Kahn, Zelda, Ganon (Maybe???)
In my opinion this is my favorite M&L RPG, but won't say it's the best. My ranking for them will be: Bowser's inside Story Star Saga Dream Team Partners in time Paper Jam The remakes are placed the same as the original.
I love Juno's ability to potray Bowser as his usually goody self, but still having a sense of world conquering evil. A perfect balance of the two sides of the great Koopa King

And finally we have Paper Jam, where he’s solidified himself as THE Mario villain
Very well put 👏
Both him and Luigi have come quite a ways
Which makes it that much more painful for Bowser with how he still manages to loose to the Mario Bros no matter what he does.
@@chadpeterson5698 To be fair, me and Mario have extra lives on some adventures that send us back in time before fights like they never happened before

Both Mario and Luigi are strong. Strong enough to survive the death and rebirth of existence at the end of Super Mario Galaxy.
@@Piss_Off_Plz well it's more complicated, in Galaxy, the lumas (and Rosalina) use their power to reverse the time at when the universe wasn't in danger.
Now for their powers Luigi is greatly more powerful than Mario, and there are many examples

@@phantom9831
If time was reversed then it wouldn’t make much sense for Mario to say “welcome new Galaxy” afterwards, since it wouldn’t be a new Galaxy/universe if time was just reversed (Also iirc in the prima guide (Which is an official source supported by Nintendo) it outright states that the fabric of the universe gets screwed and Bowser just face tanks it)
This one song really sent me on a spiral to realizing that Alpha Dream Bowser might just be one of the best characters in all of Mario. Take a closer look at his character development and the minions around him.

My favorite line has to be “ambitions and grudges long held, with a thought this world I’ll meld” it really shows how bowser has lost countless times, and his goals and anger put against the brothers over his losses, and how this is his final stand, with this newfound power
IT'S F*CKING SUCTION CUP MAN!
I love it how they emphasize that Luigi is no longer afraid and ready to stand to the challenge encouraging Mario to fight on

Nope, that's how you usually do it anyway.
Another amazing, AMAZING song juno. Your so talented in every way. This game was definetly a childhood favorite and I'm glad people still acknowledge its existance.
@リカ ふだんな nice joke
Dream team is such an underrated game, it deserves so much more love than it gets, it's my favourite of the Mario and Luigi games and the battle theme rivals that of bowsers inside story ngl
I've been jamming out to this song so much recently, now this is perfect timing!
10/10 Bows voice. No longer is he the puppet of a different antagonist, and he has the triumphant tone that hammers that home.
My immense bias towards bats makes me feel bad for Antasma though, he seemed to have zero intent on ditching Bowser yet he got done dirty :/
To be fair tho Bowser has been fucked over a lot in the Mario & Luigi games. He probably thought it was better to not take the risk of being betrayed
Actually it's possible that Antasma was only using Bowser as a means to an end and keeping him close as a means to study him so he could betray him when it would best suit him but Bowser realized this and beat Antasma to the punch.
@@chadpeterson5698 It's like the writers wanted people to THINK Antasma would betray Bowser, just to reveal that Bowser had the same thing in mind for him.
@@hunterbennett757 that’s probably exactly what was planned
Wow, this is truly brilliant. You can actually feel the emotion in Bowser's voice, like he's grasping onto this Dream Stone as his last hope after suffering so many defeats over the years.
And if that's the case, this might very well be bowser's most painful loss to the mario bros because even with powers of a god, he still can't defeat the mario bros, the mushroom kingdom's greatest heroes.
@@gabrielgrant8913 exactly since Bowser's arrogance and other weaknesses are the primary reasons why he still lost.
@@chadpeterson5698 because Bowser didn’t believe in himself. He was relying on the dream stone way too much to finally win, which if you think about it, it’s in the tone of his voice. That’s why Mario and Luigi won, because in Luigi’s words; we hear the determination and confidence in his voice. It shows that despite being afraid before, he is now more determined to fight Bowser than before.
@@mikephelps9238 yeah since Bowser does have some holes in his pride after every time not only with Mario constantly beating him but other villains having used and humiliated him.

Luigi encouraging his brother in the last part, especially when he screams over bowser's line about his dream coming true
Mario and Luigi Dream Team is CRIMINALLY underrated. This theme is one reason why
the Mario and Luigi series is underrated as a whole
Superstar Saga stakes: The whole Beanbean Kingdom and possibly the Mushroom Kingdom.
Partners in Time stakes: All life in the past and present on the planet.
Bowser's Inside Story stakes: The whole world.

The surprising softness of Luigi's "Let's-a beat Bowser!" is a nice contrast to Bowser's "SO SAYS BOWSER!"
This was definitely one of the most important Bowser battles. It was either victory now, or eternal servitude to a veritable god of dreams.
Luigi vs Bowser is the battle of the underdogs in the Mario & Luigi series. Both clowned on several times in multiple games and now getting their time to shine (quite literally)
Rip alpha dream seriously theyve done an amazing job with the series this fight was my absolute favorite cause of bowser finally remembering luigis name showing luigi has gained bowsers respect to acknowledge him

Hello, Mr Perfect Record
No matter powerful he get, it's ever the same Bowser, he always whips out the classic insults.
4:03 OH MY GOD it’s a masterpiece you better harmonies luigi
The World IS mine!
Born FROM dreams I designed
For your doom so,
¡Now My dream shall come True!
¡NOW MY DREAM SHALL COME TRUE!
Holy. Shit. You went FULL EFFORT with these lyrics, this is by-far in my opinion the BEST song you've sung yet.
Love it makes me remember the final battle Keep up the awesome work Juno!
Not only is Luigi taking the lead in the song against bowser, but you even found a way to work in "Wish upon a star"
Happy new year, Juno.

Adventure's End is the best final boss music in the mario and luigi series.
Underrated opinion, but true
"We've got to hold on brother, he's-a big but so were others" could imply that the tables have turned between the bros., since it's Luigi reassuring Mario instead of the other way around, this could quite easily imply Mario probably was losing hope throughout the battle. Hell, the entirety of Luigi's part is reassuring Mario, AND those who are counting on the brothers. I honestly see this as one of the greatest Luigi representations in the history of the Mario fandom.
