only real ones saw the first video 😂. an interesting aspect about this gun is that most of the barrels and guards change the iron sights, which is a cool thing to mess around with. respect to Ace for being on the ball and changing this so quickly! 👏👏
@@ni1469 Grau ironsights changed on attachments, not blueprints. Some guns' blueprints did have different irons, but you didn't need to buy the grau one lol

I also kept the blueprints irons when changing attachments on the print itself. It was the bling pack or something like that. Tracer rounds and some paint job that would be visible during a HALO jump

For anyone looking at this gun for Warzone but especially DMZ. Unless you only plan on using the gun sparingly, the 50 round mag is a MUST! It allows you to carry 30 more rounds of sniper ammo then you otherwise could have. 50 in the gun, 40 in reserve as compared to 20-30 in the gun and 40 in reserve.

While not necessarily broken, I think it's another case of a post-launch gun being easily best in class. Same with the Hemlock and Broadise (before nerf). In fact, it makes the semi-auto Marksman rifles AND Battle rifles irrelevant now. Why would you ever run an FTAC Recon or EBR over this?
Great guide as always! I also respect that, although Ace accidently got the wrong RoF at first, he simply corrected it, acknowledged he was wrong and moved on. This weapon with a close range secondary is really fun to play, and even if you don't get the switch off you can still survive close up if you hit your shots or hit the heady. Overall, I have always been fond of the TAQ-556 with TAQ-M setup but now I really like the M4A1 with Tempus Torrent a lot better, sort of the same play style but I can be much more aggressive.
@@AvarageYakuzaEnjoyerno way it's worse than the taq m. I have Orion on all the base weapons and I hated that thing, it's gotta be faster than the m14 and taqm fire rate, no way it's not. Also ads and movement speeds feel waay better
@@frank.e.wildcat Those two and the TAQ V are the only semi autos that it outperforms. The rest are better than it in max damage range according to numbers. But still, the Torrent is the best all arounder and is the most dependable.

It's 2 shot to lower torso range is like 15 meters less than the taqm but it can shoot 3 bullets by the time the taqm shoots 2. Also there's not really many practical lines of sight longer the tempest guaranteed 2 shot torso range

My favorite semi auto. I have to admit I've come around to the ftac after the lower torso damage buff it's so consistent which is amazing. But the tempest has that 20 round mag by default
My main/favourite gun in the game was the FTAC but I really feel as though this gun makes it so that I have no reason to use it over this, apart from potential TTK. I feel that this gun is just the FTAC but with a higher mag and longer damage ranges.
@@user-ve9tu5rv6e ftac is much faster ads and rpm with much faster ttk. If you miss one shot with torrent you’re pretty much over, but not with ftac. The only thing this gun is better is at 2nd range headshot potential. My ftac beats torrent user anytime with max rpm at any ranges. They pretty much doesn’t stand a chance at close range but my ftac can even beat SMGs.
You mean the tempus gh50? That one is the best imo because it specifically helps with vertical recoil, which is the worst part with this gun. Pretty sure "lockshot gh50" doesn't exist unless I'm blind after looking through all the attachments.

Work around on the bugged locked stocks. Select the torrent, change the receiver to m16 or m4, pick your stock, change back to the torrent receiver. The Torrent Tac Guard plus tuning, Ravage 8 stock, double time perk make some crazy crouch walking speeds. Get around quick without sounding like you have bricks tied to your boots.
@@dynamicflashy Taq V is the one battle rifle that is significantly worse than it. Look at its TTK. Its garbage compared to most other semi autos. I love it anyways, but still.
You didn't show the HC stats. I'm going to assume that's because it's a one shot anywhere on the body at any range-just using it, I'd figure this is the case. My question then becomes, how much of a loss of range/velocity do you lose using the 12.5" barrel for the ADS/STF bonuses? Does it matter in HC?
I'm having a blast with it, since its one of the rifles I've been nagging IW to add to their CODs since Infinite Warfare. It's truly one to use in BBR although I haven't try it in Ashika Island so IDK if its viable with my set up there, but it is viable for Al-Mazrah so there you go.
Got more of battle rifle feel than a DMR. Kind of feel like it makes the Ftac recon a bit useless. I prefer the FTAC tho bc I have a strong connection w that firearm
This gun is practically impossible to unlock in Free to play Warzone 2.0, I had to get it through shipment 24/7 free trial, but man, once I did I did not regret it! Feels more like the M14/EBR of previous games than the actual M14's do.
I loved this gun since the first time I had my hands on it, so it was really weird to see the incorrect stats on it. But even with this gun being so good, it still is far from the best in its type (2 shot kill). At close range, the Lachmann 762 is basically objectively superior with a 165ms TTK and a 1 shot headshot kill. But counting range and consistency. And according to TrueGameData, the SO14 has a max TTK of 125ms, but no 1 shot headshot so thats a total beast in CQC. The FTAC Recon is even more ridiclous, with a 1 shot headshot and a 110ms 2 shot kill! Even the LMS beats the Torrent with a TTK of 180ms and a 1 shot headshot kill. With that said, I prefer the Torrent, because it performs evenly no matter the range and because it just feels right. Its the most consistent and reliable of them all. Not surprising that this is the case, since its an M4 platform gun and their strenght is consistency, but they arent the best at anything.
4 months ago this video came out 4 months on I still love this weapon weather it's been buffed or nerfed to make it perform worse (is my point lo) it's not really going to affect it this thing kicks so hard , took a bit of mastering though I started with the scope you are given and then I put the cronen mini pro dot on and WOW so much easier and your faster than having to mess with a scope, my favourite for getting the job done quickly 👍
I can see the data in front of me, and that Rate of Fire is saying the gun shoots slower then the FTAC... but everything my body tells me is the Tempus still has a higher RoF then the FTAC

It's a satisfying gun (Only just got it a few hours ago.) but it feels like it has way more bounce than shown. This could be the genuine visual recoil getting to me with the irons (I despise the irons they put on the M4 platforms) along with muzzle flash/smoke. But I just feel like I tag once, my sights are still on them as I pull again, but then I'm dead. Though that could in part be the rather suspect way the net code has been handling the free weekend and now the start of a double everything weekend.
AR-15 with .458 SOCOM (FTAC Recon) : come with 5 - 10 - 15 rounds mag options as Battle Rifle, can full-auto SR-25 (Tempus Torrent) : come with 20 - 30 - 50 rounds mag options as DMR , can NOT full-auto WHY ?! *Meanwhile Mk14 EBR DMR and PSG-1 (LMS) cant use the same same 50 rounds mags from M14 (SO-14) and HK91/G3 (Lachman 762)
I have to wonder if the mag sizes between this gun and the FTAC recon got swapped, because a 10 round default mag on a tac rifle seems way too small, and a 20 round default mag (and an attachment for up to 50) seems way too big for a marksman rifle, which is single shot only
Maybe? Kinda doubt it. A .50 Beowulf AR holds 10 rounds in a standard USGI magazine, whereas standard SR25 pattern mags are 20's. The Torrent/SR25 is meant as a higher ROF and shorter range option for the marksman rifle category. I was surprised it had 20's as standard and not as an attachment, but it's a new gun and IW tends to make new weapons better than the initial offerings.
@@Rb889 yeah, but what about the 50 round mag? It could literally get 25 kills in one mag if you hit all your shots, or *50* if you get all headshots, that's kinda bonkers. The recon can get like 6 kills per mag with its max mag size, and less in full auto mode
People have been calling this archetype "over-powered" for literally a decade+ of call of duty, but the only time its ever felt really gnarly to me was the older FALs like in bo2. The high rof, zero recoil, 2 hit at all practical ranges made it a monster, even with high competition of being in cods with really, really good guns. Where as this thing seems more the SMR.Those stray 1 hits on damaged players make you feel like youre shooting NUKES, but statistically if you miss a single bullet, youre probably gonna get shredded by any auto in the game. all assuming an equal playing field.
No it makes sense. The Battle rifles are meant to be hard hitting weapons for close-mid range. The FTAC Recon is that. Marksmans are meant to be mid-long. But the Torrent is so good at all ranges it makes all the other battle rifles and semi-auto marksmans redundant
Why do you favor verticle recoil over horizontal? I can't stand side-to-side jump, especially when tracking a moving target, verticle recoil is pretty easy to control on most guns as well, so it seems weird you constantly recommend the sakin tread which favors verticle climb over horizontal bounce control, if you get rid of the horizontal drift then recoil becomes twice as predictable
The fact that we can put an underbarrel grenade launcher or a masterkey on this gun is what makes me like it a lot The gun is pretty good in medium range, can be used in long range if you manage to hit your shots and with the masterkey it can be useful in close range They should make the TAQ M able to put these too, as the others TAQ can
I don’t mind the Tempus Torrent. The rate of fire and magazine capacity makes it standout from the other marksman rifles and it’s one shot headshot capability is solid at long range. As a result I considered it to be of my favorite in the game.
This is one of the first weapons I picked up (in game) and just popped off with it immediately. How much do you think the “tune” on the bone shaker (which is what I picked up) makes a difference? I love the feel of this gun so much!
This is the favorite sniper / DMR weapon of Chris Bartocci of Small Arms Solutions and I have customized mine to resemble the original SR25 / MK11 from 2000. And of course I camouflaged / colored mine purple like all of my loadouts because the purple color gives my player style lots of character pertaining to my celebrity girlfriend Jessica Simpson and each of my loadouts gets a specific designation based on the gun name. For instance, the SR25 is designated as the “Jessica 25” and I intended to use this as a more forgiving version of my more collectible LM S that’s closely resembling the Dragunov SVD.
I name my weapons after cartoon characters so I’ve got an Elsa, then for each of the mastery camos an ElsaL (range), ElsaCQ(fast paced), and some ElsaCQa2/3 variations I’ve not quite been able to pinpoint which I like better so I’ll swap mid match

Ive been dropping 40-50 kills a game on tdm with the tempus using it as a auto dmr. Bore muzzle, 24" barrel, ftac under, recoil grip and the farsight. Sometimes ill throw the ads barrel on, the precision grip and overpressured rounds to give people the what for.
It’s a really nice rifle in real life so I’m surprised they didn’t either neuter it or make it into an 18” gun off a battle ship. I’m gonna name it Elmo once I get it to continue my cartoon character names
Its not really. Even in just the semi auto category, its far outclassed by several others, and from an ease of use perspective, autos are far easier. Thats why everyone is sticking to their (automatic) guns Despite the numbers, I too consider it a personal favourite

Are the stocks on this gun broken for anyone else? I only have one stock unlocked, despite having the gun at max level. I have the entire M4 platform fully leveled and everything unlocked, so it’s not that
as fun as this gun is to use, I still think the deagle is better if you're going for headshots since the deagle's recoil doesn't kick your view up and is instead just an animation of the weapon compare to the tempest.

I bought my only bundle in mw19 because the gra5.56 blueprint in it had some super clean and beautiful iron sights

Youre definitely right, the only reason I would run the FTAC is to have more reserve ammo because it's a battle rifle.

Believe it or not, several other semi autos are objectively superior lmao. But Im still a torrent lover cause it hits just right.

Tempest torrent is based on SR-25 E2 rifle
Now I can Recreate the SR-25 from Socom.
They need to make barrel attachments actually good. It's sad how little short barrels do and how much long barrels hurt your ads

Personal favorite for the glass. The rate of fire is what gives it the best in slot for me.

known bug, but it is tracking. the UI just won't update until it's complete

And according to TrueGameData, the SO14 has a max TTK of 125ms, but no 1 shot headshot so thats a total beast in CQC. The FTAC Recon is even more ridiclous, with a 1 shot headshot and a 110ms 2 shot kill! Even the LMS beats the Torrent with a TTK of 180ms and a 1 shot headshot kill.
With that said, I prefer the Torrent, because it performs evenly no matter the range and because it just feels right. Its the most consistent and reliable of them all. Not surprising that this is the case, since its an M4 platform gun and their strenght is consistency, but they arent the best at anything.
4 months ago this video came out 4 months on I still love this weapon weather it's been buffed or nerfed to make it perform worse (is my point lo) it's not really going to affect it this thing kicks so hard , took a bit of mastering though I started with the scope you are given and then I put the cronen mini pro dot on and WOW so much easier and your faster than having to mess with a scope, my favourite for getting the job done quickly 👍
I can see the data in front of me, and that Rate of Fire is saying the gun shoots slower then the FTAC... but everything my body tells me is the Tempus still has a higher RoF then the FTAC
I also really enjoy this gun. I will tweak it with your suggestions and play more with it

@@AvarageYakuzaEnjoyer I don't know if they've buffed it since I got Orion but the battle rifles are dodo, I don't know how it can better if it takes 2 shots to the head instead of 1 and 3 shots to body instead of 2 and it only has a 10 round mag and it has more recoil

It's a satisfying gun (Only just got it a few hours ago.) but it feels like it has way more bounce than shown. This could be the genuine visual recoil getting to me with the irons (I despise the irons they put on the M4 platforms) along with muzzle flash/smoke. But I just feel like I tag once, my sights are still on them as I pull again, but then I'm dead. Though that could in part be the rather suspect way the net code has been handling the free weekend and now the start of a double everything weekend.
I was very frustrated unlocking this gun because I suck with MM rifles, but I LOVE this gun.

This weapon somehow feels extremely good in Warzone, it has a high damage profile against armor, so it shreds players way faster than most LMGs

I have to wonder if the mag sizes between this gun and the FTAC recon got swapped, because a 10 round default mag on a tac rifle seems way too small, and a 20 round default mag (and an attachment for up to 50) seems way too big for a marksman rifle, which is single shot only
Maybe? Kinda doubt it. A .50 Beowulf AR holds 10 rounds in a standard USGI magazine, whereas standard SR25 pattern mags are 20's. The Torrent/SR25 is meant as a higher ROF and shorter range option for the marksman rifle category. I was surprised it had 20's as standard and not as an attachment, but it's a new gun and IW tends to make new weapons better than the initial offerings.
@@Rb889 yeah, but what about the 50 round mag? It could literally get 25 kills in one mag if you hit all your shots, or *50* if you get all headshots, that's kinda bonkers. The recon can get like 6 kills per mag with its max mag size, and less in full auto mode

For real, the 10 round mag on the ftac is so bad
People have been calling this archetype "over-powered" for literally a decade+ of call of duty, but the only time its ever felt really gnarly to me was the older FALs like in bo2. The high rof, zero recoil, 2 hit at all practical ranges made it a monster, even with high competition of being in cods with really, really good guns. Where as this thing seems more the SMR.Those stray 1 hits on damaged players make you feel like youre shooting NUKES, but statistically if you miss a single bullet, youre probably gonna get shredded by any auto in the game. all assuming an equal playing field.

No it makes sense. The Battle rifles are meant to be hard hitting weapons for close-mid range. The FTAC Recon is that. Marksmans are meant to be mid-long. But the Torrent is so good at all ranges it makes all the other battle rifles and semi-auto marksmans redundant

Why do you favor verticle recoil over horizontal?
I can't stand side-to-side jump, especially when tracking a moving target, verticle recoil is pretty easy to control on most guns as well, so it seems weird you constantly recommend the sakin tread which favors verticle climb over horizontal bounce control, if you get rid of the horizontal drift then recoil becomes twice as predictable
The big jump after the first shot is far more punishing with this gun that the limited horizontal recoil in my experience.

The fact that we can put an underbarrel grenade launcher or a masterkey on this gun is what makes me like it a lot
The gun is pretty good in medium range, can be used in long range if you manage to hit your shots and with the masterkey it can be useful in close range
They should make the TAQ M able to put these too, as the others TAQ can

I don’t mind the Tempus Torrent. The rate of fire and magazine capacity makes it standout from the other marksman rifles and it’s one shot headshot capability is solid at long range. As a result I considered it to be of my favorite in the game.
Already got it gold, got a nice triple headshot on museum the other day with it. It’s definitely a solid gun.
the iron sights are a little obstructive but the different version that some barrels give it really seems to stick to the head

I do like this gun a lot. I did not at first though because those iron sights are horrendous.
This is the favorite sniper / DMR weapon of Chris Bartocci of Small Arms Solutions and I have customized mine to resemble the original SR25 / MK11 from 2000. And of course I camouflaged / colored mine purple like all of my loadouts because the purple color gives my player style lots of character pertaining to my celebrity girlfriend Jessica Simpson and each of my loadouts gets a specific designation based on the gun name. For instance, the SR25 is designated as the “Jessica 25” and I intended to use this as a more forgiving version of my more collectible LM S that’s closely resembling the Dragunov SVD.
I name my weapons after cartoon characters so I’ve got an Elsa, then for each of the mastery camos an ElsaL (range), ElsaCQ(fast paced), and some ElsaCQa2/3 variations I’ve not quite been able to pinpoint which I like better so I’ll swap mid match

The only reason this thing has a 50 round drum is probably because it was meant to be a battle rifle.
Ive been dropping 40-50 kills a game on tdm with the tempus using it as a auto dmr. Bore muzzle, 24" barrel, ftac under, recoil grip and the farsight. Sometimes ill throw the ads barrel on, the precision grip and overpressured rounds to give people the what for.
Personally i like aiming to the upper torso or close to the neck so after the jump it has it hits the head

Its not really. Even in just the semi auto category, its far outclassed by several others, and from an ease of use perspective, autos are far easier. Thats why everyone is sticking to their (automatic) guns

For anyone cares about the real rifles: the Tempus Torrent is an “SR-25 E2” by Knights Armament Co (KAC) it is the newest generational evolution of the Army’s old M110 SASS, the US Army’s designation for the E2 upgraded rifle is M110A2 with an A3 version firing the 6.5mm creedmore round; both were revealed last year at the Army’s Best Ranger competition

as fun as this gun is to use, I still think the deagle is better if you're going for headshots since the deagle's recoil doesn't kick your view up and is instead just an animation of the weapon compare to the tempest.
