I got hooked on your working at Sephora series but I love watching your tutorials . Your makeup is always so amazing and you explain everything so well. Could you sometime do makeup on an actual "mature" person who actually has puffy undereyes, saggy hooded eyelids, fine lines around the mouth, or any of the other problems associated with mature skin? Thank you for your channel. I love it.
Ditto this. I need to deal with dark under eyes
I third 🥉 it. I use great foundation but somehow it always ends up odd. Either valet settled in my very slight fine lines making me look ancient or caught up in my facial down making me look like a drag queen with a bad shave. HALP
Gosh that would be great. At 57 all the years by the pool when we use to bake our skin with baby oil! 😂.
I volunteer as tribute!! ❤️
If he does, I've got the perfect "mature, hooded-eyed" face for it!🙋🏻♀️
This was great! I never used to wear makeup, until Trixie Mattel made a boy make up and she used an eyebrow tint and pencil. I have invisible eyebrows and was always self conscious about them. It helped so much.
I love Trixie and him but still can’t figure out makeup legit as complicated has a neurosurgeon 😅😂
@@blakaysanta2240 it's really learned one step at a time...figuring out how to do a full face takes years of mistakes to get there for most of us. I think that's what my teen years were for based on the photos. Just wanted to encourage...I'm sure you can learn if you want to! Your face changes as you age to, I feel like always need new tricks.
@@andromedaspark2241 I know like you said I takes years just like being a doctor lmao I wish I had the patience but it’s still fun to watch/support 🤪
Yes Willam Jujubee Trixie Bianca Katya they got me wearing make up and he has helped me with cleansing micellar w/ rose water maintenance
Watching your tutorials has literally changed how I feel about wearing make-up. I used to feel so intimated about applying make-up. So many other artists make it so complicated. After watching your "how to blend eyeshadow" tutorial last week, it all seem to come together. Now this one ... my hero. Thank you so much 💓 💗 ♥️
Love your makeup videos. Safe space here for sure. ❤😊
I absolutely love watching your videos, tutorials & the Sephora/MAC videos!! You're so funny & you're also drop dead gorgeous!! Keep it up!!
Cathy Morris- he is fabulously handsome right? Glad he found his calling too. At 62 never thought men applying makeup artistically and creatively much better than I could ever dream of would be what I would be doing-but here we are 😂. He’s a doll.
You and Kevin are my most trusted sources in everything makeup and skincare. I've really not done well with skincare and I still struggle finding foundation that doesn't separate on my skin, but the two of you make it so easy and understandable.
Thank you so much for all the work you do, you are a real one and my favorite makeup content creator. I wish all the success in the world for you guys.
You are addicting to watch. I haven’t used makeup in years and you’ve got me trying again. I’m learning a lot.
And because of you I ordered the primer and tint. And got at Sephora account...and a Sephora credit card. Hope that using the link from the video helped you.
Beautiful as always full of really great information for all skin types . Love the look it's really pretty x x sending love from Nottingham uk x x
You always are explaining the things so well and easy. I loved your make up so much, but I would like if you could to make a video for mature skin and eyes for a day-by-day makeup and teaching the tricks for makeup for 50 years old and up women.
Love all the tips and tricks! I'm 52 and bought the NYX concealer. I love it! I had given up trying to cover up the darkness under my eyes but this really does work! Can't wait to try out some of the other products you suggested!
Hope you are having a great day!
Me too
Thank you for your review! I love hearing from people in the 40-50s test driving products as well. I’m sold!
@@gypsybelle4757 I hope it works for you. 😃
Thanks! I need a new concealer
Johnny,
I work at a bank and I find myself wearing the same eye look to be "work appropriate". Can you please show a few neutral but gorgeous eyeshadow looks for inspiration? I recently picked up the ND Dream palette, Empowered by Huda Beauty and ABH Rose Metals..... thanks for sharing your expertise!
Yes definitely! ❤
First, your eyes are beautiful. Second, I am inspired to try a skin tint. I have a lot of texture and discoloration, but I do have some wonderful color correctors. It's going to take longer to cover all of the spots, but I really would like a more skin-like finish to my face. You're an amazing teacher!
I love watching. You make me excited to wear makeup again. I’ve had such bad skin matches and products. I always loved wearing it all but due to be changes to my skin it’s been difficult.
I love the Master Class series! Seriously a life saver. I am excited to try a skin tint as opposed to my full coverage foundation ☺️
Thumbs up. Makeup makes me so anxious.
Btw, your makeup is always flawless, it is seriously one of the best on youtube.
I'm watching this tutorial for the third time You make it SO easy to follow along and always have great little makeup tips that make all the difference! Love from Canada 🇨🇦
Aw that’s amazing!! ❤ thank you!
Thank you for making make up less daunting. With my skin changing with the season, I’m intrigued with this new product.
Johnny, you have helped me improve my technique and confidence with makeup. Thank you, so very much. I’m 53 and having the time of my life!
Question: The last step with the beauty blender, I use a fresh dry one. Are you using the same damp beauty blender?
Aw that’s amazing to hear! ❤ Honestly by that point it’s pretty much dry lol so that’s fine! It’s more about just pressing the setting spray in!
You are my new addiction!! Thank you for including the mature, still fabulous in your repertoire
I appreciate you sharing your knowledge so so much!!!! I made it my mission this year to step up my makeup game by finding techniques that allow me to get a better result with products I already have. I’ve spent so many years buying all these products and more times than not I ended up not being totally satisfied with my results. Which resulted in buying more product and continuing that cycle. But your channel has been a HUGE help and all the knowledge you’ve shared has really changed the game for me when it comes to not wasting my money on unnecessary products and getting the best results possible from the makeup I have in my collection already. I can’t thank you enough!!!
I love you Johnny. This tutorial was just what I was looking for. Im 43. Thank you for always including mature skin tips. Your the best❤
Finally tried my first color corrector this week for the ungodly purplely very dark circles in my inner corners under my concealer and started using a more yellow undertone concealer for any dark red spots and yep works like a charm with much less product ☺
I love it so much Ty I’ve been trying so hard to make my makeup flawless for awhile
I’ve been wanting to tell you how good your tutorials and recommendations are. I’ve ordered a couple of products you have suggested that have worked beautifully.
I have had a rough few days because my beloved cat passed away unexpectedly and I just can’t get myself together. So listening to you today has really been calming and I just love your enthusiasm in helping us older ladies with products that won’t age us. That is refreshing.
I had stopped watching mua’s on RUclips because of all the drama and you are such a joy to watch and so talented as an actor too.
Just wanted to say thank you for your content Johhny🧡
You have such a wealth of knowledge and I’d love to see a full unedited video from you! Also any tips for touching up makeup would be extremely helpfull❣️
Love love love!!! Thank you for posting the products too❤ stay fabulous
When you do a makeup tutorial, like your Emily one, what do you do when you are done making the look? Do you just hang out as Emily for awhile?
Lmao no I film all my shots and then sadly wash it off 😂❤
I REALLY hope you get something from these vendors because I just purchased a lot of these products, lol. For someone with mature skin (I'm in my mid-40's) this tutorial has been the single most informative, helpful, and clear tutorials I've ever seen. I'm not a fan of "heavy" makeup (my current routine involves some BB cream, under eye concealer, contour, eye makeup and blush) and I've learned I'm making a LOT of the mistakes you mention here - like putting my concealer under the outer part of my eyes as well as the inner, where I have those fine lines! And not setting my base layer before putting on powder contour. GAH. So glad I've stumbled across your channel!
Yes! I am mature and don't like covering my face with makeup. I found the loreal tinted moisturizer and it is pretty and evens me. I love it.
Your reviews and tutorials are the absolute best on You Tube! Thank you, thank you!
Ooo my good Johnny your skin they looks amazing! Very very nice video! Very nice all the tips! Thanks for that! I can use cream contouring because i have very oily skin! The blush palete and the lipstick i just live it! I try your tips! Have a nice day and good week! 👍👏🙂🙂🙂
I absolutely adore your makeup tutorials 🎉🎉🎉... I need more from you and Kevin 😊
Absolutely appreciate these tutorials Johnny!!! Particularly the nods to mature skin. I use skin tint regularly but this is great !!! When I am in a rush, taking off my glasses and my skin looks truly flawless.....😁🤓🤗. 😜. Love you!
Thank you for all your informative tutorials. You are amazing.
Thank you Johnny for this honest review. I value your opinion and for your creativity. ✌🏻💖💄
THANK YOU!!! I have been trying this for so long!!! You are the BEST!!🥰
I am a mature lady and can’t thank you enough for this video. I have stayed away from make up for years. Thanks so much!!❤.
This was great! I am really dry and love skin tints because they are so hydrating. The issue I have is that they are lacking in coverage and I don’t want to use loads of concealer. I think a good color corrector first is the answer! You look flawless!
Thanks for a great tutorial!
😮😮😮😮😮, BYE PIXIE SKIN TINT! Best make up artist in the world. You are. Reign forever.
I have a question, the best heavy & creamy lipstick you trust?
I really enjoy your tutorials. You go step by step and in detail. I already know how to apply makeup, but I’m always open to tips ❤ your Sephora series got me hooked on you, and now every time you upload a video I always watch. Your very knowledgeable and that’s very much appreciated.
Johnny, I learn more from you all the time. I’ve said it before, a private makeup lesson from you is one of the items on my bucket list. SERIOUSLY! I JUST LOVE YOU ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for always helping us with makeup and honestly thank you for being real with us!.
Your makeup is amazing! I want to experiment more with makeup because of you 😍🥰
I just love watching you, explaining everything so well , I wish I had you to do my face , can only dream as I am from Northern Ireland 😢
I found you due to the Trevor and Barbara skits, babs is definitely my favourite! I followed you for your amazing makeup skills and how you simplify all the steps for us noobs!
I found you on Tik Tok and am so happy to have found you on RUclips as well. Your tutorials are amazing and I just love you and all your content. Thank you for this tutorial in particular - I’m 42 and always looking for ways to look flawless and not cakey and I’ll be trying the products in this video that I don’t already own! Keep being awesome ❤
I ordered it and was lucky enough to get both Iconic London products. I absolutely love them! But now they are out of stock....you have that power. You advertise something and often? It flies off the shelves. It is a testimony to your talent and charisma!!🤗
I love love love the skin tint tip❤
Love hun happy Sunday ❤
1st from Washington
Perfect video I’m getting ready so perfect video
Love your videos and your enthusiasm! You're amazing! I've learned so much from you 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🦄🦄🦄
I love your tutorials. I’m definitely going to try this.
This was a great tutorial! I have mature combinatin skin and have been desperately searching for something that I can wear that will hide my pores while at the same time not make me look all cakey, etc. These products look so good. Thanks for taking the time to go through the whole process!!
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN MY WHOLE LIIIIFE 🤗🤗🤗. a-thankyousomuch
Thank you sooooo much for teaching me how to do my "mature" under eye! I've ALWAYS had problems with under eye creasing and now I know how to do it!
Question though...... how in the world do I pick a lipstick color? EVERY time I do, I get it home and try it on and they're always the wrong color.
Thank you! 😊
i love watching you!! thank you!!! you're fantastic ❤
Could not have believed it if I had not seen it 💕😯 so so beautiful
thanks for all the help!
Love this - Thank you! 🥰
I have combination skin too so everything you do helps me so much. Thanks again!
Love this video and just love your tips and tricks xx
I would love to see a "Trevor" tutorial. I have no idea how to work around my facial hair.
Use a beauty blender to blend out your base makeup and you shouldn’t have any issues. I also have facial hair and don’t have any issues doing that :)
Stunning as always!
You are so beautiful! ❤ I love your Sephora Vids!
You’re fantastic!
This is super helpful, thank you for this, especially the color correcting steps 👍🏻😊!!
Eye looks are always ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hi Johnny, wonderful tutorial! Goung to follow this to pull together a more complete glam day look for fall. Would the L'Oreal True Match serum skin tint be a similar product to the Iconic, which does look beautiful 😍. Love to you!! ❤️
Yay! ❤ yes it definitely would!
thank you so much I'm trying to learn how to do my make up now that I'm getting back into wearing it. please keep these videos coming
I just love you and your videos so much... loads of love from India..
You are brilliant
I love medium coverage with a dewy or natural finish but I struggle to cancel my blue tone beard area if I don’t add more coverage to that area and it ends up looking textured compared to the rest of my face. I need help! 😅
Johnny, Thank You 🙏 I started watching your funny clips. But absolutely love, love, love your tutorials. I have learnt so much
from you. I appreciate all that you do ! You have such a presence in front of the camera a pure natural. I watched your getting to know you clip about depression and wow! Amazing! I suffer badly from depression, anxiety ptsd. I was in a loveless marriage for 25 years where his needs were met in the bedroom not caring about how I felt it was always about him. I left in 2014 it been nearly 9 years since then & have learned to love myself and eager to learn more at every chan I get. I would love to find a partner (a guy) But , have been on dating sites so many times 😊❤
Only to be let down by guys that have their own agenda. I feel happy to be in my skin but I feel sad that meeting a potential bf 😮😮is like a job interview and what you drive and how-much money you have in the bank are the determining factors of where it goes! I’m lonely & would to love find but I feel that it’s just a dream and I’m not worthy offsomeone’s love. 😢 thank you for your hard work in making your content for us , it’s truly appreciated. ❤
Love your tips
Love love these videos!
Thank you so so much!!
Thanks
Your eyebrows always look so good. How?
Can I get some recommendation on some like ulta budge proof, water proof non clumping voluminous, mascara. That's a mouthful... My birthday comming up this Friday and I'm going shopping at ulta and I've made a list of products from your videos that I definitely want to try that would help my makeup look 10x better. I love how You take the guest work out for makeup shopping. Like seriously I go into ulta or sephora and feel over whelmed not knowing what works for me and what doesn't. I'm nervous about trying in stores or trusting what the sales people say cause, I've been done very wrong before. I love how you price things too cause not everyone can spend $$$ and labels can spew bs and the product does the opposite of what it says. But I also love how you help fix the issues we have and tell us where you get your products and the round about price. I hated when in the past I'd watch makeup videos and they just show off the product and where to buy but don't really say how much it cost until I go into store and faint because it's some $150 makeup. I love how you really show off more affordable dupes too. Your gonna save me alot of money for my birthday. My birthday makeup list covers everything now except mascara, but even with that it is a fraction of what I'd spend if I went in blinde and coaxed into buying products that just don't work for me. So thank you so much your a life saver. I'll be able to feel pretty again.
Brilliant!! Thank you so much!😊
I'm crying! 😢 The Iconic London skin tint sounds perfect, but it has talc and I'm allergic to talc! Do you know a good skin tint for very dry, very fair skin that doesn't have talc?
The skin tint isn't really available in my country yet, but I'll keep looking for it! 🧐 I'll also be on the hunt for that NYX concealer!
Love your videos! Just a little wish for the future: The sound is always a bit echo-y. Maybe there's a way to change your setup to improve it. I know that it might be too expensive yet but maybe some day in the future.
Keep up the great work! ❤
VIDEO REQUEST:
Please bring in a mature woman with lots of sun damage, age spots, & do a deep dive master class on techniques, products from the drug store & hugh end, best tools, etc.
Maybe do a 2nd one on great affordable sunscreens, including ones from Korea & Japan & how to apply properly, how we figure out which sunscreens work with which foundations, primers, etc. I think cost, not knowing how to mix them face products, & white cast in photography are the reasons many don’t wear sunscreen. People just don’t have the money to waste trying tons of products & can’t afford expensive, America sunscreens.
The colors you use look fantastic with your beautiful dark eyes. I have blue eyes and I'm fish belly WHITE WHITE WHITE mature skin. Not a good combo. I wear taupe and mink color eyeshadow. What do you suggest?
This was amazing!! Thank you sooooo much!!!💜
Hey! Can you do a makeup tutorial for people who have hyper-hydrosis or who just sweat aaaaa looooooot. Ya have a sweating issue and no matter who does my makeup It never lasts
Johnny! Do you have any recommendations on how to get a waterline application to stay? I’ve tried setting with eyeshadow and spraying the brush with setting spray, base with a kohl pencil and then the UD 24/7, using an allergy eye drop prior to doing anything and making sure the waterline is dry before applying and etc. nothing works…
Do you have a video on how to contour to get rid of a double chin....other than using blush?
I
This was amazing!
I'm kind of overwhelmed with info, but I can always just rewatch the video and absorb more each time.
Btw; do you have a video featuring ethical lines?
L'oreal (and others) claims to be cruelty-free, but are actually still hiding behind legal loopholes (ex, anything that's marketed to China has to be tested on animals per Chinese laws).
I'm also interested in products that aren't iffy with labour laws (sweat shops, mica mining etc.).
It's daunting trying to figure out which products to even begin to look at before I can figure out which ones work with my skin. 😞
LovelyOne!!
IDK IF YOU REMEMBER ME BUT THIS HELPS SO MUCH TYSM 🥹
Lol I just posted this comment 😂 I love how your one of the only RUclipsrs who check there comments
Love all your work for us!!! Can anyone help with where to purchase the Indi Beat foundation? Thanks in advance!
Nice !! Video !!
As a MUA, I deeply understand why non pro make up users are so confused about placement and temperature of bronzing and contour. I can understand how someone expects the face to be contoured-snatched with the cool shade used for the nose and the bronzing done with the Mario warm product and doesn' t get the reason why a nose is narrowed with one but the cheekbones are sunk with the other. I feel them if they perceive it as random and contradictory.
I really really love this because I am mature skin and I find that heavier stuff adds years to my life. Plus it’s just not really my style.
Thank you for this. I just can't wear foundation. Never could. I have oily skin and it breaks up and slips right off my t zone. I also don't like how it feels.
I've never worn anything but powder if oily. I would love to find a natural option. I don't look better in foundation at all. Maybe tinted sunscreen ?
I need recommendations for my mom she is over 60 and her eyelids are so thin that eyeshadow doesn't really look good on her lids or actually stay on them for a long time, I was thinking creme shadows but I am not sure , she loves the way I do my makeup but again she has more mature skin , I think her lids are oily so any recommendations would be lovely. Thnx 🥰
Damn your good! I wish you could do my wedding makeup!! I'm getting married in May, and I have to do my own makeup, who knows what the outcome will be 😔 i will watch your videos for reference tho... but just wanted to say your just amazing! Keep shining 🔆 bright! ♥ love watching you! Thank you for all you do.
This is probably a silly question but when using your beauty sponge with concealer under the eyes, is it damp or dry?
Damp! ❤
That may help me. I have textured, dry, oily skin all at the same time so finding the balance is a struggle. Thank you for mentioning different skin types when reviewing products, it probably saves us all a ton of 💰 😂
✨️Gorgeous.✨️
The fact that makeup looks better on you than most of the chicks out there really
Do I put anything on underneath it first? Should I avoid my daily moisturizer first?
No! Moisturize away! I prepped with a serum, moisturizer and eye cream! Sometimes too heavy of a moisturizer can break up your foundation! So I use a lighter weight moisturizer before makeup and a heavy one at night! ❤
