I love this guy! He’s beautiful, smart, funny, and way talented! I made a working list of all the products he recommended for drugstore vs. designer brands. He’s honest, but not brutally so. He’s knowledgeable without arrogance, and passionate without being overly hyperbolic. I never comment on makeup videos mostly because I’m a “woman of a certain age”, and makeup artists are usually young and already beautiful. Everything looks good on them! But Johnny’s recommendations for products also address “mature” skin”, so I couldn’t possibly resist giving him a shoutout from the older demographic! Johnny Ross deserves all the recognition for his craft. He’s opened up a whole world of makeup exploration for me! Seriously, I hope the companies he is demonstrating give him a significant portion of their profits because he is not only a beauty expert, but also a beauty influencer.

The CILS Booster XL Enhancing Lash Primer and the Lash Idole Mascara to be exact. I love how that mascara doesn't Clump my lashes and helps to separate them without weighing them down. My lashes have a natural curl to them and this lifts them even more. It's outstanding!

I absolutely adore you! I love the shorts but I really appreciate that when you talk about products you talk about what works for the different skin types not just the skin type you have. I feel like a lot of reviews only do what works for them but not saying that a product might work for you but might not work for someone who is oily or super dry. Also I am super obsessed with the SuperGoop! Glowscreen. I really like the way it feels and how pretty it makes the skin look. It's my new holy grail product!
I wasn’t ready to tackle makeup aside from eyeliners and maybe lipstick (once in a blue moon) but yesterday I did it! Primer, Foundation, setting powder, eyes and lipstick! Took me till 25 but I can do it now. Thank you for helping me gather the courage and knowledge to do so. Another bit of confidence gained.
Oh! Just realized one you may not know, it's underrated- requires flame 🔥 to soften. Been around a century. Maybelline ExpertWear Red Pencils, they seem hard and are $1-2 each. Hit them with a lighter for a flash and they go on beautifully read that tip from decades ago. They last. Longest wearing brow and eye pencil you'll ever use. When softened 🔥 easy to brush on too.
I never knew that! My mom swore by her Maybelline Red eyebrow pencil, but she passed before I cared about makeup. I tried the Mayb Red but couldn't figure out why she loved it so much. Now I have to try this trick.

I have that palette and it is really beautiful, you can do a neutral day to day look or a bright pink one. The pink shades and that "you bet" shade are the highlights of the palette IMO
NYX That's the Point black liner, it's like a chisel tip sharpie great for winged liner...all the colourpop glossy lip stains but the Tinkerbell limited edition ones are just perfect better than natural lips...Jeffrey Star Velour Liquid Lips last through anything - even if you don't like him, he makes good products...Revolution Loose Powder in Peach - works and smells great...NYX epic wear liner is like working liquid latex but daaammmn it stays on like it grew there. Water slide tested.

I wore makeup daily as a freshman in high school at 15/1_ 6 and occasionally throughout the rest of school when I graduated at 18 and a half, and once in a blue moon after that and I'm 26 and a half. I can hardly do the basics but I'm learning and having so much fun with it :) I'm getting good with making my eyebrows look normal (they went wonky after I shaved them off when I was in kindergarten) and making my eyes pop even behind my glasses. I honestly don't think I use most products correctly but what I do works well for me :)

I also wanna say that I have SUPER dry skin…. Believe it or not the REM concealer has been a holy grail for me! Paired with the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation… ice never had such a smooth and flawless complexion before!

I use the Saie beauty cream bronzer in medium and the brush that goes with it and it beats ALL cream bronzers along with their brush made for it! Also, another product instead of the Saie highlighter is the glossier “future dew” it’s a serum hybrid and does everything you want it too under your foundation. It’s only 24$ too and I love it! I wear it alone most days lol

I LOVE all of the mascaras from Clio. The Peripera ones are good too. I use the Clio glow foundation cushion too. It's one of my favorite kbeauty brands 💛
I tried the Color Pop tinted moisturizer he recommended with a crème blush and I have never gotten so many compliments! It’s $14 at ulta. I have foundations in my vanity that cost 3-4 times that and do not look as flawless. 20/10 recommend!

A drugstore liquid shadow that I love is the Brilliant Eyes from L’Oréal. It works soooo well. It’s super bright and sparkly, too.

Ole Hendrickson banana bright eye cream is so amazing!! You should try it if you haven't
I use the Saie beauty cream bronzer in medium and the brush that goes with it and it beats ALL cream bronzers along with their brush made for it! Also, another product instead of the Saie highlighter is the glossier “future dew” it’s a serum hybrid and does everything you want it too under your foundation. It’s only 24$ too and I love it! I wear it alone most days lol

I tried the Color Pop tinted moisturizer he recommended with a crème blush and I have never gotten so many compliments! It’s $14 at ulta. I have foundations in my vanity that cost 3-4 times that and do not look as flawless. 20/10 recommend!

Johnny I need your help. I have hirsutism and I have issues finding foundations that actually cover close stubble. I have struggled with makeup my entire life.
