      there´s noise that´s fine. I didn´t hear anything though. Just the camera adjusting.

    I love that you don't use false lashes all the time. I've never used them & hate not being able to see all of the entire eye look online because the lashes block the view of so much of the eyeshadow looks. Honestly, it drives me nuts sometimes.

    I love both. I have that palate, and I love it. I never knew about mixing the eye shadow with the concealer, that is just BRILLIANT!! I love the lighter side for a sweet day look, the darker for a dinner date or a special night. I like to add a slight touch of that green in the middle of my eyes. I lime doing a mostly neutral palate, then add the brighter colors in the center. Thank you so much.

    Hey Smitha! Yet another lovely and helpful video from you! I have a question. What if we use eyeshadow primer and do the same? Which one comes out good, the one with the new technique or the eyeshadow primer one?

    • @ac2055
      @ac2055 2 года назад +1

      I would also like to know too as scraping a shadow and mixing a concealer is a lot of work to do every time, while an eyeshadow primer doesn't require an extra step. Alex Anele did a vid a while ago showing that primer works best compared to just on top of concealer or powder, but I would think think mixing with concealer might be better in some ways than a primer, though I'd have to see it to believe it.
      Concealer also seems like it would move unlike a primer, so I'm not even tempted to use it as an eyeshadow base, esp as someone w semi-hooded eyes. But I'm still curious to see these techniques compared.

I would love to see an eye look using the row with the orange/coral/peach colors that all three are in a row near the far left of the palette. After watching your video, I immediately copied the technique using the exact same shade of purple but from a BH Cosmetics palette, and an LA Girl concealer. It turned out Exactly. The. Same i.e. just as SUPERB. Even the tint of the concealer after adding the powdered eyeshadow was the exact same shade of pinkish--mauve as yours.
    The only thing I left out was the light brown shadow, because I found the pink edges of the grape-purple shadow formed their own contour for my deep-set lid.

    Hi Smitha! I have been following you for close to a year now and it has allowed me to really step up my makeup game. I always felt like I was good at makeup and always received compliments, but I had no idea about primers, contouring, setting sprays and all the other "little" things like that. My makeup appearance upon completion looks sooo much better than it used to and actually lasts all day!!! I really love your videos because you have so many creative ideas that really interest me. I just have problems coming up with my own color schemes with your designs based on what i already have. I also struggle to find makeup I can use because I have a lot of allergies to chemicals used in makeup and hygiene products. Also, for years I could NEVER get my shadow on each eye to match! But from watching your videos, I've figured out that it's because I have one hooded eye! Upon realization and adjustment, I'm now able to match the shadows on each eye! One thing about my shadow application, however, I have noticed also that on my left eye, outer corner, the shadow doesn't seem to want to "apply" or blend. It's really weird. Which sometimes also causes the uneven look. Do you perhaps know what causes that? It's only my left eye. I also wondered what your thoughts are on using air brush foundation. I recently started using some, but I'm not yet satisfied. I like how quick and easily it is applied and the coverage it offers, but i feel like it comes off easily for example if i have an itch and scratch my face, or like when using concealer with it and trying to blend them. Can you recommend a particular brand that would be of great quality but not break the bank? Lastly, I struggle with false eyelash application. You make it look so easy using what appears to be just tweezers, but often times you cut the video to the full look. I've tried magnetic liner- don't like. Tried letting the lash glue get pretty tacky before applying, but i seem to get placement above the line and then it makes the lid/ shadow pull down. I've recently found some liner/glue which i may like best, but wondered if you could do a short on lash application. In regards to your voice- over vs. directly to the camera, I noticed immediately that it was different. I think either way is fine and you should do what suits you, but I do personally prefer the voice- over. Love you so much! Thanks for your content and super congratulations on your collaboration with OFRA!!

    Both eyes are beautifully done. I honestly did not realize how much better the eye shadow looks going over a concealer first. Also I too have hooded eyes and I would have never ever though of using that brownish color over the edge of the purple in the eye socket area to help with making the eye lid appear less hooded! But it turned out wonderful looking. I also like to use black eyeshadow for making a smoky look instead of any type of eye liner. The black eye shadow achieves the smoky look so much better. And I would like to thank you for explaining the different type of brushes do different types of things. I never can get that right. Thank you!

    Depending on your dress choise both eyes looks pretty. Some deep purple based dresses demand more opaque and intense colour output, where as pink and purple undertone or floral dresses may need what you've put on the left eye. These right eye make up is more like using an exact colour match inskirt for a thin tissue saree. The other one is like using a two layer 3D type of output. Anyway honestly You are rocking wonderfully ! I'm intersted in such eye makeup. I have hooded eyes and soggy eyelids due to threading from early days due to over growth of hair. I watch all your videos. Quite interesting!! Thank you. God bless you and your family..

    The difference in the two eyes is simply stunning. I’m glad I watched you do this otherwise I would never have understood how you created the difference. Both eyes are beautiful but I do think the right eye is more stunning.

    VOICEOVER. I think it is mean more seamless; it is hard to talk and apply makeup. I didn’t realize this until you because you consistently do it as compared to others.

    Hi Smitha. Could you show us how to successfully smoke out the black shadow without getting fallout? I tend to tap in the colours but that does not seem to work so well with the liner shadows and even a speck under the eye can ruin everything!

      @SmithaDepak  2 года назад +2

      Hi Jenna, if you have fall outs, there's 2 things you can do:
      1. apply base makeup after eye makeup or
      2. if you already have the base makeup on, apply some extra loose powder under your eyes, wait till you're completely done with eye makeup and then dust off the excess powder. It will catch the fall out and then you can dust it off without ruining your base makeup. Hope this helps xox

      @@SmithaDepak thanks. I have been noticing that Robert Welsh seems to apply his base afterwards. I don’t love The powder technique as it can settle in my creases. I have learnt the hard way to at least apply you under eye concealer after shadow!

    Wow! I had no idea that Concealer mixed with some pigment would make such a huge difference just like a P Louise or similar primer! Thank you so much for this tip! I like both of your videos formats. I guess I voice overs could allow you to speed up different areas, or like you said, add the voice whenever you can. ❤️

    I’ve used different color shadows or cream shadow sticks to make other eyeshadow colors pop but I never thought to mix my own base color using my concealer and build on that… can’t wait to try this!!! Thank you for the idea!!

    You can skip eyebrows on an eyeshadow technique video. I know you’re giving us a closeup or the eyes, but I’ve noticed with other beauty creators that they stopped filming this close a few years ago, it would be nice to see your full face.
