Update; Repicked up the game and got master using the intermediate training before each session and it didn't even take that long ! People really don't know what to do if you take away their jump in / drive impact in lower elo
This might be the best guide out there for SF6. The intermediate drill is amazing. I had trouble with this stupid brain dead ken (1450 MR) and just focussing on the drill , i was easily able to kick his ass. It was so bad that the guy didnt even rematch
I watched your video when it first came out. I'd say I'm among the top 1% players globally, but this is nothing compared to any of the memorable players... let alone the pro players. I can honestly say watching this video has definitely pushed me to get there. I cannot begin to express how useful the information every time I play.
Hold up. I dont think youre getting the credit you deserve here. That intermediate section, ppl dont even tackle that, let alone tell you that. These videos (bless their hearts) will tell you the basics and then basically tell you to go swim with the sharks. This video alone, honestly can be a guide for fighting games in general. Like, i can literally take ideas from this and apply it to old and new games. You, sir, are gawd-like for doing this. Salute to you. Now we just gotta get folks to start talking about labbing and match ups again 😅. Great video, boss. Stay blessed.
This is the best training mode guide on the internet. No one is talking about how to use the training mode to create opportunities to land combos. I’m practicing whiff punishes on Ken CrMK and I’m consistently 2 frames late. Meanwhile you’re 8 frames early. That alone demonstrates the bridge we are trying to cross to get better.
Jamie is weird to start. He requires a lot of decision-making. Watch kaution videos or automattok streams. Im maining him since launch, but im still learning. Good luck.
Amazing training video. Already jumped me from 1300 MR to 1400 MR after a week of the intermediate exercise and I’m not even close to being consistent with it. This is THE best training video for Street Fighter 6 players looking to improve.
Thanks for the info. I've done a few drills, but it's overwhelming the number of vids w/different drills. I usually practice combos & do the in-game drills. Been playing since SF1, but don't get to play often. Nice vid.
This video is so fucking good, I did the offense practice for like 30 mins and started getting much more perfects/easy wins, my reactions are still bad but when i get a knockdown they never get up
Am so new to fighting games , and this . This my friend is exactly what i needed to practice . Thank you a lot because as you mentioned it do be intimidating for newish audience .
Love this video it’s super helpful especially for a Marisa player. I’d love to see more content like this breaking down the perspective of a top Marisa is super helpful. Thank you for this video! ❤
yeah, i just want to reiterate what other people have been saying (and leave a comment for the algorithm) and say that this is one of, if not THE, best videos i've seen on SF6. this is really helpful, i've started integrating some of these drills and almost immediately noticed results. any more videos like this will always be welcome. i've already recommended this one to several people.
This is probably THE MOST comprehensive lab training video I've seen. Thank you 801 Strider! By the way do you use all those recordings at once as a training tool? And what were the last 2 recordings? Or are they slots to cover things a player needs to work on?
Shout out to 801 Strider for the training session yesterday. I have 3 pages of notes from our set, and conversation, and I'm going to get this training video routine you sent me, started today.
I use Training mode train for real fights and learn through out the fight itself, don't want to a Dial a combo training, also fighting the cpu at the highest lv
Nice video, i'm trying your intermediate practice since i found out i can easly land anti air on the basic training one but in game going back and forth while looking for drive rush and whiff punish i can't anti air. Also found out when i try to shimmy grab and ennemy jump i don't react dp, while try to incorporate it
Thanks for the video, I have a question: why do most people recommend that beginners practice neutral *before* learning combos, rather than the other way around?
Not sure I’ve seen that recommended, learning neutral without knowing how to cash out on hits seems counter-intuitive, whatever works for you though 🤷♂️
@@801striderFGC lol that's the thing, it *didn't* work for a long time, but that's the general advice i got in the beginning, "don't worry about combos at your level , just worry about neutral". i'm just glad to see that there's more productive advice out there. :)
I dont really use training mode much lol, Im having too much fun climbing without it! Maybe if i hit master lol ill spend some real time with it. Its still good information for the future though! I appreciate the video!
Using that option againts jump is terrible. All you have to do is jump and press the button as you land, Marissa will get stunned on armor mode and you landed before her punch. 1800MR here
When I first got into FGs, I labbed combos and setplay for 100 hours before playing online, and then proceeded to absolutely explode people. These noobs stood no chance in the blender

It sounds like a good idea to learn the basics of all characters to recreate your losing situations in training mode
I'm going to start that training regime with those settings once I get home.
great video! streamlines the training process and focuses just on the right thing for each level
Great video brother perfect explanation of using the parry when I needed it most. Keep it up

I use the recordings shown at once, I’ll add sequences or change them depending on what options I’m struggling with
And does this work for ALL characters?@@801striderFGC
